First time I've been to the this place very clean and food very good. Marked this 3 out of 5 as found the staff eaten behind the counter a bit off putting. Surely you can eat out of the food preparation area. Wouldnt stop me trying it again though.

It's now called The Grouse Inn. The dining room was empty at 5.30 on a Wednesday evening. The young lady serving us was very polite and had a very pleasant manner. Two of us had the haddock and both agreed that it was the best battered fish we had enjoyed in many years! Fresh fish and a light and crunchy batter. Perfect! The third of our trio had the Greek chicken dish and it was also delicious. The fish and chips, complete with salad, coleslaw and tartar sauce was £12.90 and the chicken dish was £9.90. Exceptional value.

Table was booked for 6:45 pm Food was pretty good. Service left much to be desired, brought water and wine. Had to open the wine ourselves? We asked for the desert menu and was pestered 3 times within 5mins if we wanted a sweet. Staff seemed like they could not get rid of us quick enough! We had to ask for the bill twice. We would not go back.

No longer a Brewers Fayre, it is now a Thyme ran by Premier inn. Arrived just in time for food on my first night, staff accepted my order despite it being past kitchen time. At hotel reception I was greeted by Jillian who booked me in very promptly so as I could get something to eat. On arrival in the pub , Steph was very friendly and welcoming. Took my order and sorted a drink for me, kitchen staff got my food out to me promptly as I was at the end of a very hard day. Brilliant staff and a lovely pub.

I saw here doing a walk from Falkirk to Linlithgow. And found this hidden gem and stopped off for some drinks and soup to fuel us up. The restaurant is located right next to the canal with beautiful views the staff were friendly and helpful the food was slow to come out however we were in no hurry to move a we were stopping off for rest on this long walk. The food was good and prices were reasonable. I would return
