Brewers Fayre Cadgers Brae in Falkirk

A large pub restaurant alongside The Premier Inn. We arrived and were asked to wait thirty minutes although the restaurant was almost empty. We were told they were serving four tables already. The food was typical pub food and not particularly good. The restaurant was quite cold. On the plus side we were served by a very pleasant young waitress. On leaving we were told they had only opened the day previously.

After travelling all day and staying nearby. Ordered a drink at the bar, tried to order food a few minutes later and was told food was for hotel guests only. Not the happiest of staff or the warmest welcome. It’s a shame as turning away a group of 6 on a weeknight must be bad for business especially with the number of pubs closing.

Had better. Avoid at all cost staff limited and food cold and bland. Cleaner must have been off and no warm welcome . Hotel was nicer

returned her after a very nice first visit for the carvery a few months ago ,, was so disappointed today- the roast beef was practically raw .. (a good vet could have brought the entire joint back to life ..).. I ate the veg but left the meat was inedible. Will need to thing twice about returning ..

Stayed in the adjacent hotel so had breakfast and dinner here. The breakfasts were reasonable. Self service buffet but I believe porridge etc could be ordered. I had a full English. I found the sausages to be a little gristly and the bacon was very overdone and dry. Scrambled eggs lacked any flavour. Mushrooms were nice as were the hash browns. I prefer mine a little crispier but within the limits of a buffet they were fine. Good selection of pastries etc for a continental if that's your thing. Evening meal: Firstly there were barely any staff. I think some were off sick. The lad who looked after us was working his socks off and doing it with a smile. Full credit to him I had a burger which was very bland and unremarkable. One of my kids had ribs and chicken. He enjoyed the ribs and I nicked most of his chicken and it was nice and tender. Overall the meal was OK for sustenance but nothing special. I had a voucher but had to pay up front for the meal so couldn't reuse it for desserts and drinks later. That was a bit annoying.

We were sceptical about the limited menu because I can't eat anything fried or oily. So was pleasantly surprised to see they had a Brewers Fayre build your own salad 🥗. We had ours with char grilled chicken. It was absolutely delicious. Everything was really fresh and tasty. The staff were really pleasant and friendly Well done to everyone especially the Chef and staff. Would definitely recommend and come back here.

Another brilliant meal at Cadgers brae restaurant for my birthday. Meal excellent service excellent and nothing was a bother for the staff, they accommodated us excellently as well

We arrived at half 6 for a walk in a table of three. On arrival, we were met by shelley at the host stand. She asked if we had any allergy or mobility requirements, and when we discussed this, she had a lovely table on the ground floor for us. The menu was easy to understand, and the ordering process was simple. The atmosphere was good, and the food was really hot and neatly presented. We were only passing by on the way home from seeing family friend, when we popped in. Was a good night.

Starters good and prompt..then had to wait ages for main meal ..fish was warm whilst the chips roasting hot ...won't rush to be back ..and at no point did anyone come over and ask the how the meal was Even when they came to clear the table

Great food and even better service from Jack he really lifted my mood when I was feeling a little low. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area in the near future

Great for a quick and easy breakfast. Great staff and alway clean even on busy mornings. Quick to clean up any mess made by kids or spillages

Stayed at the premier inn next door and had breakfast and evening meal here. The service was excellent, staff were very helpful with 2 of our party, one has a severe allergy to tree nuts and peanuts and the other suffers from celiac disease/requires a gluten free diet. The staff were extremely helpful in ensuring they ate safely in the restaurant. They provided full allergy information and ensured the kitchen staff were also aware for cross contamination. At breakfast the girl who greeted us at the door ensured that our gluten free child had boiled eggs, which wasn’t on the menu and she also informed us that gluten free toast was available too, toasted safely in a separate toaster. It can be very stressful eating out with food allergies, it’s a shame not all restaurants are as helpful as this one!

We decided to order the nachos .These were a bowl.of crisps with unmelted cheese and a very small amount of sour cream on them. We decided to cut out losses and left .......won't be back sorry 😔

I come here often for the buffet breakfast and you just can’t go wrong. The staff are brilliant, they are attentive and engage well with the kids, the food is fab and it is kept topped up, I just can’t fault this place for breakfast.
