Popped in for lunch…..it was fabulous! Great lunch menu, 1 course £9.95, 2 course £12.95, 3 course ?? We were short on time so opted for 1course, the breaded haddock. By far the best fish we’ve had in Falkirk! Delicious! Was quite busy, but food came quite quickly and staff were friendly and attentive. We will be back to try something else very soon. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked great!

My hubby and I met some friends here for dinner. We have to say the food was quite disappointing. I had haggis balls followed by fish and chips. The haggis looked lost on the plate, but were actually ok, the best part of the meal in fact as it went downhill from there. The batter on the fish was soggy, fish was grey and the chips were very dry (oven chips probably), the peas wet over cooked but cold. Hubby and our friend had steak pie which they said was just edible! The staff were great, it’s a shame they don’t have produce to be proud of. I don’t think we’ll be rushing back.

The food has gone downhill. Ate here in March and said I would never come back after my meal and my sons had to be sent back, still couldn’t eat it so left. Wasn’t asked how our food was, was advised a manager would call after paying full price... 5months on and still no call. Ate here again (shouldn’t have) food got sent back twice then had to wait an extra 20 minutes for something else and still had to pay full price. One girl was very apologetic but not doing it’s best to keep customers. I will never be back, nor will my family or friends.

Been before, two of us were sitting having a drink and got asked by a waitress to move as she needed the table. Finished our drink and left went elsewhere for food and several drinks, staff very very rude! Visited a second time when it was quieter and can only describe the food as average. Thought we'd give it another try, as soon as we walked in the staff were in your face, were we in for foods or drink before we even had a chance to look at menus, sat down, decided we weren't happy and left immediately. Went to Behind the Wall and had a great meal.

Reserved a tablle for dinner before heading to the cinema, arrived for 6pm and was told the kitchen was very busy but we explained we had tickets for the cinema and the waitress said she would see what she could do, it still took 45 minutes for out food to arrive, when it arrived it was only warm which made it quicker to eat as time was running out to get to the cinema. Staff did a lot of rushing about but were friendly and helpful, the food was good but would not go there again if I had to be somewhere at a certain time.

After reading these reviews I wasn’t sure if I should come here but I’m glad I followed my gut and decided to. I had the 2 courses, the breaded mushrooms (you get three reasonably large ones, salad and garlic mayo). These were nice and hot , I then had the classic burger and added cheese and bacon which was very nice, hot and very filling (the quality of the bacon is very good too, the bun is also grilled/toasted so know this before ordering). The staff were very friendly and even though they had a slight mixup with our change, I’d definitely come back to try other items on their menu as the fish looked very nice!

Just been to Graeme Hotel for lunch with son and family. Not impressed at all. My daughter in law and I had steak pie and my pastry was cold to touch and the steak was hard round edge as though it had been reheated although the other plate was ok. My son had bowl of chilli and a side order of macaroni, he said there was far too much rice in proportion to chilli and the macaroni was tasteless. My grandson's hotdog was nice but served in a crusty bread far too big for hotdog. Mentioned to waitress about my steak pie being cold but no reduction on bill at all. Will not be back.

We turned up at the booked time, we were placed at a table in front of a TV with a lot of the pub looking in our direction. We do realise about the pub being a sports venue but would hoped we would have been informed when we made the booking that a sporting advent would have been getting intertained. We have been to the Graeme Hotel Falkirk a few times and always enjoy the service and meals. However we were not even sat down waitress arrived with menus and asked us impatiently what we wanted to drink. Her manner made me think the place was extremely busy which it wasn't. She arrived back with our hastily ordered drink in a minute and again impatiently asked what we wanted to eat! We had not really had time to study the menu and decided our choice. We thought the meal deal ( 2 courses for £8.95 or 3 courses for £10.95) was a really good price. Meals arrived Gammon steak under cooked, dried out salad with brown edges on lettuce leaves, a dish of macaroni which looked and tasted like Kraft cheesy pasta, curled up battered fish sitting on top of a slice of lemon. The whole appearance was as tho everything had been flung onto the plates. Then came the desert. Chocolate fudge cake so thin a razor blade appeared to have cut it and a teaspoon scoop of ice cream. I could understand had the place been bursting at the seams but there were 3 of us and 2 other diners in the restaurant!! We normally leave a generous tip for all staff but no pennies dropped in there tips jar. Extremely disappointed in how this restaurant has gone down hill since our last visit and will not be back.

Dropped in after an appointment quite late in the day; 3.15 pm to be exact. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they were still serving their lunch menu. Lunches are reasonably priced and they have a good variety of foods on offer. Our order was taken promptly. My mum opted for a tuna baked potato, while I opted for the macaroni and chunky chips. Food was served very quickly, and tasted delicious, the salad however, was a bit limp and lacked any colour. I would recommend this eatery over any of the other restaurants situated around the retail park, as the staff are always friendly and eager to help.

No me puedo quejar.

I am a regular customer for going in for meals and drinks. As a family of four me and my partner barely ever get a date night. So we decided to take kids in for dinner as me and my partner had a couple of drinks with our dinner nothing serious. Well as we not spoke about over dinner we are over the drink drive limit so we decided to leave car and walk home.. So my partner decided to take the youngest kids over with him as they was getting restless to get double pram out but as he was doing this he plugged the kids into car for safety reason being he wouldn't allow them to run around a car park when he was trying to get pram out .. Well as I was sitting in the bar the owner of the bar decided to come up randomly and started shouting at me in front of everyone in the bar about my partner going to the car I was so embarrassed and taken back by this I couldn't even take in what she was saying then before I knew it she had phoned the police on us to say we was going to drive away in car baring in mind my partner doesn't even drive in the owner of the car I was still in the bar when she done all this and was so socked she hadn't even came over to ask me what my partner was doin she just assumed and embarrassed me, my kids was crying thinking they was gonna get taken away from there parents over nothing. All cause this lady made her mind up before even asking what we was doing if she had any concerns. It was awful the whole bar then the whole street was looking at us all over my partner taking the kids over to get double pram and reason why he took them with him to car was because babies was tired an restless and starting to cry loud in bar so to save the rest of customers of listening to it he took them with him to put in pram. The landlady was out of order and embarrassed me and stressed my kids out for no reason. Don't go near this place it's definitely not a family place. It's more hassle than what it's worth.

We visited on a cold, rainy Saturday afternoon for lunch and the place was really busy; luckily the helpful staff managed to find us a table. The food is great value; 2 courses for £6.95 or 3 courses for £8.95. However I guess you do get what you paid for. We found the food to be slightly disappointing; the quesadilla had absolutely no flavour, the sausages were burnt, the mash was clearly frozen/reconstituted and the soup was bland. A couple of the dishes were tasty enough and the portions were generous but I don't think that makes up for the shortcomings. The fact that it's so popular has got to be down to the staff, who were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, efficient and hard working, you really couldn't fault them. I guess the cheaper food will encourage business, but there's no need for cheap food to be poorly prepared; I've known chefs who can make the cheapest cuts taste really expensive so there's no excuse for lazy presentation and burnt sausages. It's a nice wee place though, worth a visit for a drink and a chat with the great staff, and maybe the snack/sandwich menu would have been a better choice of food. We may give this another chance in future, hopefully they will have pulled their socks up regarding the food prep.

Well where do I start. Went in for lunch with my husband, meal was okay u get what u pay for 2 course for £6. After our meal we went into the beer garden and had a few drinks, my husbands uncle then joined us, he was half cut by this point but wasn't any problem just sat in his seat minding his own business having a couple of pints, another 2 of our friends joined us and they went to the bar to get the drinks in, on returning gave us our drinks then the MANAGER MARGARET came over with a stinking attitude grabbed 2 of the drinks off the table and started shouting at my husbands uncle saying he was to get out he wasn't to get any drink and stormed off back inside (unbeknown to myself and my husband he must of came in front door earlier and got refused as he came in the back gate to get us so we never thought anything of it.) my husband and his pal went in after her as she had took one of their drinks too, she then storms back out with money and slams it on the table and said there's ur refund for ur drink, still on her high horse she said to me and the other girl at the table once use have finished ur drink u can all just leave, I have never been so humiliated in my whole life as the beer garden was packed and everyone was looking at us like we had horns stuck to our heads, we drunk up n left and on way out another customer asked what had happened and she said the way she spoke to us was disgusting and there's was no need for her to approach us the way she did, I honestly don't know who she thinks she is speaking to people the way she did and she calls herself a manager, Surprised shes never had a slap across the dish the way she speaks to people. But she then returned to the table with his soup and didn't bring my main until he had finished his so I had to sit any watch him eat and then he had to sit and watch me! Once I had finished there was a long wait for them to clear my plate away even though every single waitress made eye contact with me when they walked passed. They eventually cleared my plate away! However we then had a lovely half an hour wait for our deserts even though we had been asked by several of the waitin staff if we were still waiting! The long wait was definitely not worth it! We have been for lunch here several times now and the food and service are consistently good. Even when the place is really busy the staff are smiling and friendly. It's typical pub food - good simple food at great prices.

6 of us went to the Graeme Hotel for food & drinks, very nice. We sat in bar area, so be aware if you go on a Saturday afternoon/early evening it is extremely busy, however it gives the place more of an atmosphere which is good. We picked from different menus (4 from the set menu and 2 chose from normal menu). Didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive. Would recommend.

Decided to pop in here for dinner in the passing, the bar area was really busy as Falkirk had a home game with a late kick off, we were approached right away and shown a table. Waitress and waiter that attended us werer very pleasant and attentive. Really good selection of home cooked food. My partner had 3 courses, I had 2 and we both had a drink each - the bill arrived and it was under £20, because we'd arrived just before 5 they still charged us the lunch rates. I couldn't believe it, unsure how they make such good food for the price, will definitely be returning...again and again.

Good value for money at lunch time, 3 courses for £8, can't grumble at that price. I ate all of mines, and the portion sizes are a good size too. My friend didn't enjoy her main meal, other than that, no complaints.

I've been here a number of times for lunch as it is near where I work and is great value for money at two courses for £6. On my visits I've enjoyed the soup, steak pie, fish and chips and chilli not to mention the caramel apple granny and sticky tofffe pudding with custard. There's a good selection of food on offer and it is generally busy which is no surprise really. The service is good as is the location being across from the retail park and near Grahamston railway station. I'll be back.

My family (5 adults 1 child) went here on a saturday at 6pm... never again! We booked but when we got there they had not reservation? They then thought seating us in the bar, which was full and lively, was a good option even though we had a 6yr old?? They did accomodate us in a side room, but really wish they had advised they had no room at the inn :) food was average as they only charge set prices like 3 course for £10 so you get what you pay for.

I went on to trip advisor to look at hotel reviews as I was looking to book couple of rooms for October for family coming to scotland and came across reviews about food and service, having ate in the Graeme Hotel on numerous occassions have always found the staff and food excellent and am dumbfounded , can only think someone with a grievance. I have since been in and asked to look at the rooms and they are lovely and clean.

A family meal to remember my sister who died two years ago was totally ruined. A hair found in the steak and despite complaining was still charged for. Service was the slowest I have ever seen. Very very disappointing.

Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but took ages to arrive, seemed like forever before we got our main course. Also the service wasn't all that great, waitresses had no personality whatsoever and didn't seem interested in being there in the slightest. Not sure if I'd go back or not.

My husband and I had a lovely lunch here today. First time I have ever been in the graeme hotel. Very nice inside. We both ordered 2 course £6. Had the steak pie which was very nice my only issue would be is there wasn't quite enough gravy, pastry was very flaky and a little bit extra gravy would have been appreciated. Otherwise absolutely fab value for money.

2 courses for £6 at lunch time, you cannot argue with that. We come here quite a lot.We had nachos to start, very nice and quite a large plate. I had the roast beef which was very fatty. When I finished the lady came over took our plates away and apologised for the food and took the full £6 off our bill. I certainly didn't expect that, my starter had been lovely and my husbands was very nice. I know a lot of people think well you get what you pay for but in this case the staff went more than the extra mile and we will be back. Just goes to show good customer service still exists, Well done!!!

Went to Graeme's for dinner with a friend. We got there pretty late, but they were still serving food. 2 courses for £8 and 3 courses for £10 which you can't argue with. We decided to be good and stick with 2 courses. I had breaded mushrooms for a starter as did my friend and for the mains, I had chicken breast in mushroom sauce with chips, my friend had lasagne and my husband had cannelloni. My husband chose 2 courses as well but had a dessert instead of a starter and the sticky toffee pudding looked like a good portion and he enjoyed it. We all enjoyed our food - served piping hot and fresh. The waitress seemed a bit confused and stressed, but she was nice enough. I ordered a decaf coffee at the end, but I am sure I was given normal coffee as I couldn't sleep very well that night!! Judging from the poor reviews previously, they must have changed their chef and kitchen staff which can only be a good thing!

This was my first visit for some time & I'm glad to say that the food has got even better.! We went for lunch - the Menu posted outside sounded very nice & the price was good (2 courses for £6.00) Glad to say that we weren't disappointed. Homemade Pate to start followed by Homemade Steak in Ale Pie both absolutely DELICIOUS.! The staff were very friendly & efficient. A must for 'a value for money lunch'.

I've dined in this establishment on several occasions, at various times of the day, and I've never been disappointed by the food on offer. The food is decent and competitively priced and the menu has something to suit most tastes. It's always busy for lunches and dinners so they must be doing something right and it's got the best beer garden in the town for enjoying our lovely Scottish weather!

Walked down Graeme's road on a Monday evening to go to the African restaurant, but its closed! So it was between Antonios, Lanna Thai and here, all do a mid-week 3 course for £10. Came to Graeme Hotel first, so agreed to eat here. Bad decision!! I should note that it is a nice pub, aesthetically. Course 1, prawn cocktail. Tasteless! Both the prawns and sauce tasted of nothing I had to add ketchup and mayo (luckily they do invest in branded!). Bf had fritters, tasted fine, v greasy tho. Main, fish and chips- again tasteless! The batter was crispy, but fish inside was watery rubbish. Bf had macaroni, which tasted like tinned stuff, really bad. Finally, fudge cake, it was ok. Bf ordered coffe and mars bar cake, but got Rocky road (although this was v good apparently!) Then coffee arrived after we'd both finished, having been sitting at the bar forgotten about. Its a harsh lesson, but its one learned...Always check trip advisor, as if I had we'd have spent 26 quid more wise ly!

I sent an email to the Graeme Hotel asking about gluten free meals. No replyWe decided to go anyway. The server had a look of utter bafflement on her face when I asked about gluten free food. She consulted the chef who said I could have the pate but not the accompanying oatcakes, which was fineWhen I asked about the chilli and the chips I was told they didn't know if it was gluten free but if I was "willing to take the risk" they would serve them to me!!!
