Nice enough wee resteraunt, food was ok, It's just unfortunate that yet another wee place up here 🏴, has been taken over..again, by londoner's who have the money to buy a business that some locals wanted, Know the island so well,❤️. Also know that some of the locals are not happy,50/50 split.

This was the BEST seafood restaurant in all of SCOTLAND! I had the seafood platter. The scallops, langoustines and mussels were huge and tender. Simply amazing and superb! Would LOVE to have a dinner like that again. We ate there 2 of our 2 days in Oban Thankyou for the experience!

A short walk out of the centre of Oban and you’ll get to markie dans. I had a pint of Guinness which was very nice. Good looking pub which serves food and has entertainment on occasionally. Little bit of outdoor seating out front. Well worth popping in if you’re in town. 🍻 🏴 🥘

Great location at the head of Loch Creran but weather not suitable for outside sitting! However we got an excellent table with panoramic views of the loch. Excellent & friendly front of house staff & also the chef who popped by, We enjoyed the cured salmon starter which we loved followed by seafood linguine & fish pie, Recommend both.

This was a last minute booking because we were running late. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and the food was fresh and piping hot we had chille and it had a lovely heat just after eating it nothing to strong. We had apple crumble for dessert this was made fresh as the dishes were super hot but also amazing tasting will be beck next time am up this way.

We did stay at Airds, having been once before many years ago. It has changed hands twice since then and is very different. The guest lounge was rather airless and largely unoccupied during our stay. Our room was comfortable if a little dull, on the ground floor looking onto the car park at the side of the hotel and accessed through the small bar and two difficult small fire doors. The bathroom will benefit from a couple of twin hooks for towels, which I recommended to reception when I left. The bed had a 15 tog quilt! It was as if we were in the Arctic - admittedly summer has not arrived this year but we felt pinned to the mattress and reorganised with other covers we found in the wardrobe! The dinner on the first night was lovely and we were joined by our daughter. The food was tasty and generous and the service was good. The second night was not in the same league. The food was not so good, and the service was dreadful with a very long wait. We understand there was a breakdown in communication between server and chef. I did tell the hotel how I felt and I am sure they will be turning things around as soon as the staffing levels can be fixed. Everywhere is having shortages at present.
