Best oysters and mussels I’ve ever had! Beautiful views! Highly recommend reservations and smarter dress for indoor seating, also have outdoor patio that’s lovely as well.

Staff was curt. Salmon was not that good.

Overpriced, small portions of poor food. Chowder was ok but small, halibut unremarkable no better than supermarket frozen with a tablespoon of leeks swimming in cream in a daft little pot with a handle. Muscadet unrecognisable.

The mussels were good but still hungry cause' the portion was so small. For half the price you have double portion at the Green Hut just a few meters down.

Lovely place with a nice view on the harbor and a great sunset view. It's a pretty fancy looking vibe, can be a bit noisy but that's part of the charm. Food is great and local, details on fish and shellfish origins are provided. Also open later than most others which is convenient.

We got to the restaurant as it opened as we couldn't reserve the conservatory area (dog friendly indoor area) but within an hour the whole place was packed on a random Tuesday night, so if you can book definitely do that! We had the platter to start for 2 and the Thai fish cakes were the highlight along with the mussels! Mains we had the monk fish and halibut. Would definitely recommend.

For our first dinner in Scotland we wanted to eat oysters and we were not disappointed. The value for money is excellent and the portions are generous. If you pass through Oban this is an excellent place to eat, I recommend booking 🤩

Great, fresh seafood. Wine and dessert were quite good as well. You’ll probably want to make a reservation as it was full shortly after opening for the day.

Outstanding food as always. Amazing views. However, I felt let down by the service this time. The staff are usually very attentive, but on this occasion, our bottle of fizz arrived halfway through our meal despite us keeping asking for it, and one persons desert was served well before the other persons. Hopefully, normal service will be resumed next year when we visit again 🤞

Great restaurant with a fantastic pedigree having held in the past Mitchel and stars. The portion sizes are great and the quality makes it value for money.

A great location to watch the Sun go down. We booked on a very busy Saturday night and it was really noisy. Fine if you enjoy a boisterous atmosphere while eating. Our waitress, we later discovered, was Lithuanian. Efficient, hard working and great fun. The starter, a mixed plate of salmon, mussels and Thai fishcakes was great and our crab mains hit the spot too. I’d always prefer skinny chips as served in Belgium with this sort of cuisine rather than their fatter cousins. A wide choice of wine on the menu. But please do something about the bread. Cheap supermarket bread has no place in a restaurant. There is a Tesco around the corner, it’s open late and their sourdough would be a vast improvement.

1 of 3 identical scallop meals tasted horrible. When we asked why, we were told it was due to the tongue still attached? No other dishes were more than ok. They recommended a whisky for us to try, then come back and said they were out. Overpriced, wished we had gone somewhere else.

Food was great, I booked a window table and I got a fairly bad location which was not a big deal if the first person who met us was nicer. Mia, the server was rude enough to ruin the night. I have been there before and the staff were lovely. Not sure why this happened

The staff are very rude and rush you to order. We called to let them know we are running 5-10 mins late and they said as a result we would only have the table for an hour (when we actually would have the table for 1hr 40 - 1hr 30 if we were 10 mins late) and we “better get here quickly” quite sternly by a young girl on the phone, when we got there it wasn’t much better. They seem very understaffed and the staff was miserable towards us. Very unpleasant and rushed dinner. Shame as we were looking forward to our dinner here in Oban the most! There are much more friendlier places on the island, and this was the worst Scottish hospitality we experienced on our trip! They gave most people a jug of water and some bread and butter however they didn’t give any of that to us. I spoke to the manager but to be really honest nothing was done to rectify the way we had been treated. Absolutely disappointed and disgraced with this restaurant and its service. It seems they only want to serve a specific type of person…

We had scallops and chorizo as a starter, monkfish as main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, all delicious! We were served by Rohit who was very friendly.

Absolutely worth a visit. I had dinner here two nights in a row — the seafood was outstanding, with a great balance of quality, portion size, and price. While the service on the first night was exceptional, the second evening was a bit different due to one waitress who seemed quite stressed and made the experience less enjoyable. That said, the manager personally came over to apologize, which was a very much appreciated gesture. Highly recommend booking in advance, even online.

Had the seafood penne and it was pretty good. I'm not much of a seafood officionado, but I enjoyed it very much, a great creamy sauce with salmon and mussels. Oddly they serve beer, but you won't find it anywhere on the menu, not sure why. Guess they needed to save the paper for the 6 page wine and whisky list. I usually enjoy 2 beers with dinner when on vacation, but I never got asked if I wanted a second beer during my meal, so 1 it was.

We were disappointed with our experience. Firstly the service was ok but absolutely minimum friendliness /effort from staff …it was just impersonal & not even busy . I had to send my salmon back it was lukewarm . For price it was underwhelming …they are riding on reputation that will not last if they continue like this . Excellent position that’s about it .

Vin blanc Chardonnay excellent. Desserts Sticky toffee pudding sublime et bonne crème brûlée. Service sympa et très efficace. Tout compris comptez 58 € par personne. Excellent rapport qualité prix

Well, this was just lovely. Dont think a pipe band right outside is the norm but that was lovely too. Really friendly staff. Great service- efficient and professional. And the food was delicious. As a solo diner, this was a completely comfortable experience. Loved it!

Lovely food. Excellent service. Our second trip To Oban and our second visit to Eeusk - there will definitely be a third! Particularly impressive was the ability of our server, Rojan, to maintain his composure when faced with an incredibly rude American woman - my hat off to him!

A big glasshouse restaurant with upstairs seating as well as on ground floor so a big capacity. We were there on an April Tuesday evening and it was busy. We had booked a table to be safe. Langoustines were on the specials so we went for them as a main, in garlic butter and also as scampi. We had them in the starter with crab meat and smoked salmon. All fantastic and well served. We were shown to our table and drinks ordered and water provided. The sun was setting and we had a great view of it going down. It is situated on the north pier and you can watch ferries come and go. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and left a healthy tip.

EE-USK was absolutely delicious! We went there for a casual dinner as people recommended it, and it was an ABSOLUTE success! We tried all the local fish and the homemade sauce which is a MUST! We tried some local beers as well. The traditional sticky toffee pudding was the last touch for a perfect meal. Definitely recommend going and trying some local fresh food. The service and atmosphere was really casual and relaxed. Definitely coming back whenever we pass through Oban again.

Fish salad was great langoustine scampi fried very greasy Great Cheese platter.

Lovely restaurant. Service was outstanding. Shout out for Rohid. Nothing was too much, made some excellent suggestions for our food. My friend didn't want batter on the Monkfish, so had it grilled instead which she enjoyed, but has said next time she would like it done with butter and perhaps garlic, lemon and rosemary. She said chips was delicious though. I had the seafood platter and my other friend had the Haddock and Chips. Both were very enjoyable, Oysters were perfect. The Salad with my platter was delicious and crispy. Forgot to ask what the yellow pieces in it were cause that was delicious. We had Sticky Toffee Pudding and Lemon Cheesecake(not baked) it was lovely. I would have liked the Baileys Bread and Butter to sample, but there was none so I'm guessing it's popular. We had Coffee Liqueurs after which were very tasty. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. Staff were all lovely and hard working. Well done guys, keep it up.

Staff were kind, friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, and gorgeous to look at. Beautiful views, even without getting window seats. A little loud and difficult to navigate at peak times, but well worth it. My partner had the seafood penne and recommends it highly, and advises it’s a large portion!

Fabulous fresh seafood and beautiful pier side setting. Great friendly service and extensive wine list. Would highly recommend the seafood platters.

Food is good, food service is quick, but other service 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 as a tourist/foreigner, and been living and touring around Scotland for 4 years, it was my first time feeling off and sad in a restaurant.

Delicious food with beautiful views. Really liked the menu which told you where the seafood was sourced from locally. Would definitely recommend if you're coming to Oban but make sure to book in advance!

Had the mussels as a starter (the small portion is enough for 2 people to share) For the main course we had the seafood penne and the lemon cod (oven baked) All in all very tasty and freshly prepared! The dessert platter can also be shared between two people. There was an incredible amount of staff there who, in my opinion, got in the way. We had about 5 different waiters and when we asked for the bill it was left without comment and we had to draw attention to ourselves three times before someone came to collect.

I’ve been here before and it was fine. I was excited to bring my parents here when they visited me. I made the booking for three people over the phone. Got there and turns out the booking was made for two people and they could only seat us in the outside area. I know that mistakes happen and that’s completely ok, but the person who greeted us (the sort of baldish man with the beard) was quite rude and made it seem like it was my fault. We ended up leaving and going to the Waterfront Fishouse Restaurant instead - which I’d recommend. Shame that they had bad service as I liked this place before.

My friend and I have often travelled from our homes a 2 hour drive away for lunch or dinner at Ee Usk. Having been going 2-3 times a year for the last 12 years, it doesn't seem to be quite as good as it used to be. Little things like not having their own Ee Usk chips (now brought in pre-prepped, they don't taste as nice) and very few specials. The waiting staff were much better than our last visit before Christmas especially as it was incredibly busy. The food is consistent. I tend to have the same things off the menu and you know what you're getting. This time some of the langoustines didn't taste fresh. But despite a few hiccups recently, we still go as we love it there.

Excellent seafood restaurant, visited every time we're in Oban

The food was lovely and the overall service was really good and quick. I recommend not missing out on this place if down visiting Oban :)

Great food, lovely staff with a beautiful sunset thrown in.

The food was superb, we had mussels, scallops, lobster and oysters. Everything tasted very well. The only negative point is that the staff was not super friendly. The boss wanted to place us at first at a table outside the main area. This area is very unpleasant, with no heating and proper lighting and plastic chairs. Only after insisting that we want to have a table in the main restaurant, we were offered a place there. Other tables remained empty in that area - so no clue why he did not offer us a table there initially. Also staff brought us one bun for two persons - bit weird. They also forgot to bring us cutlery and were quite slow with serving the main dishes.

Anytime we’re in Oban always try to eat here. We were there at the weekend and as usual the food is always excellent, the service of high quality and the general atmosphere very good! Helps if you can a seat next to a window, but regardless I would happily recommend it to anyone.

When we arrived without reservation, I was curious to know how the "bald manager" like everybody called him in the comments would react. He was actually direct but nice. We were lucky that he found us a nice place. The waitress we had was a really nice person and pleasant to talk with. Unfortunately, the cooking wasn't on the level that people told us. If you take salmon, you're gonna be lucky, the taste is awesome. But if you take the langoustine, just take it for lunch, not for dinner. It was obviously cooked for lunch and kept until the dinner to be served again. We understand that pre cooking is necessary for a restaurant but seafood should always be cooked last minute to keep the freshness of the food and all the tastes. Pleased by the people, disappointed by the food, go there for lunch and not dinner. P.s. the view was amazing and seeing waitress interacting a bit with the clients makes the place really nice.

We were visiting Oban and staying at a holiday rental. We asked the landlord, a local, where the best place for dinner was and he suggested EE-USK. We were not disappointed. The friendliest service I've experienced in such a long time. The oysters were superb, the fish was so fresh it certainly did not taste frozen, it was superb. Everything cooked beautifully. What a wonderful vibe too, everyone super happy and chilled. Loved how the staff made a fuss of a little boy who's birthday was celebrated with happy birthday to you! And the whole restaurant applauded. Just a super place and great value for the quality you're presented with. The manager and waiting staff engaged with you and really knew their stuff. Will defintely be going back at our next visit to Oban.

Great spot- fresh fish. Get the sampler! Skip the seafood pasta was all cream and no flavor. Otherwise everything was great.

Absolutely fabulous, wentbthere on two conservative nights and both meals, along with service, wonderful, we didn't have our dog with us on this occasion but great to see they welcome dogs, when in oban don't miss this opportunity to enjoy fantastic food

I popped in witt a friend of mine, not faulting the food but the baldy old guy on arrival shut us down immediately and turfed us away, I get 9pm may be late in oban as a small town but it’s a time for food in most places not closing, guy had zero customer service and rude. Manners cost nothing. Food may be lovely but service is part and parcel of the industry.

Crab was dry, and tasted like it was boiled the previous day, left in the fridge to dry out, and served for dinner today Langoustines were mushy and the heads tasted of ammonia. Mussels tasted like the bagged ones you buy from tesco Monkfish was dry and fibrous. Generally felt like we were eating poorly frozen seafood and paying as if they were fresh. Expectations were not high but somehow we were still disappointed.

Unfortunately the salad was the best thing on the seafood platter. The langoustines (which I was most looking forward to) were mushy, and the crab seemed to have been cooked and left aside - judging from the protein residue and dry meat.

Scrumptious seafood meal with reasonable price and great service.

On Friday, March 14th, at noon, I had an exceptionally terrible experience at this restaurant. There were three of us, and we ordered dressed crab, a seafood platter, and seafood penne as our main courses, along with a large portion of mussels as a starter. To begin with, the main courses were served before the starter without our consent. But what was truly unacceptable was the quality of the seafood. Many of the mussels were not fresh, with a bitter taste or a strong unpleasant odor, making the large plate of mussels practically inedible. Similarly, the seafood platter I ordered also contained the same poor-quality mussels. On top of that, my platter included three langoustines, two of which were extremely unfresh—the heads had turned visibly black, as shown clearly in the pictures I provided, and the meat was incredibly loose, completely lacking the firmness of fresh shellfish. The oysters were very small, and the crab claws were also tiny, though fortunately, these two items were relatively fresher compared to the rest. Due to the poor quality of the seafood, we were unable to finish any of our dishes, especially the large portion of mussels, which remained almost untouched, as mentioned earlier. When I finally requested the bill, the rude waitress showed no concern whatsoever and, without asking, took away the barely touched plate of mussels. All of this happened during a non-busy period, and we were, in fact, the first customers of the day at this restaurant. When the waitress came over with the bill, I attempted to provide feedback regarding the terrible experience caused by the unfresh seafood, but the rude blonde waitress gave me no chance at all. She simply tossed—yes, tossed, not placed—the bill towards me and, before I even had the chance to look at it, immediately handed me the card machine for payment. I want to emphasize once again that all of this occurred during a non-busy period, and we were the restaurant’s first customers of the day. Ultimately, given such a dreadful experience, I did not bother to express my dissatisfaction to the staff on the spot, as it was obvious they simply did not care. Later that evening, two out of the three of us experienced varying degrees of diarrhea and discomfort. Since we had not eaten anything else after this meal, I believe this is solid proof of the restaurant’s lack of fresh seafood—or perhaps, just the lack of fresh seafood served to us.

Well worth the wait to get back to OBAN and visit Ee-usk. We had a wonderful time and the food was amazing as was the wine and great selection of whisky esp the jura 10 and 18 year old . Amust for every visitor to OBAN.

A nice restaurant right on the harbor! I can highly recommend the penne! Changing the seafood was also possible at no extra charge! We sat right by the window with a view of the water and the sunset :) The service was great and very accommodating 👍🏼

Disappointed, had hoped to enjoy a lovely lunch here given other reviews. In comparison to other seafood restaurants, this was very overpriced. I wouldn't mind that if it was a great meal, however the quality of the shellfish just was not good. Portions are small on some dishes and massive on others and everything seems to be drowned in condiment style sauces, with a random side of cubed turnip? Even the chips weren't good quality chips that you'd expect, to dip in or mop up sauce. After spending £45 on a 2 course lunch, with no drinks, I was still hungry. I recommend the seafood stalls at the pier instead. It's outdoors but the quality far better - and much cheaper. The service was good, though we felt a little rushed given it was not particularly busy. Wouldn't return.

Food ok, but nothing amazing. My starter came without bread and the server just casually said that 'it was missed out' - still full price for the dish on the bill. White wine was much too chilled.

We have been at all the restaurants in Oban over the years, and this is without doubt the best. Amazing view, too!

Annual trip to Eeusk for my husbands birthday. Rohit and his staff polite courteous to all customers. Our clean plates testimony to how delicious the food always is. Staff super efficient and attentive. Rohit and staff came out of the kitchen with a lit cheesecake singing happy birthday. Thank you for making our dining experience extra special. Whenever you visit Oban don't miss a wonderful dining experience.

The 3/5 are only for the very high quality of food, wine and whisky selection, the service was terrible. We were a very large and I will admit loud group but it's not acceptable to be shushed (a simple "could you be quieter? Would have been much better) or worse to be asked to start paying while still sitting and waiting for the dessert. I can apologize for the noise (maybe) but answering eventual rudeness with bad manners it's not a good idea.

We came here as we fancied a nice fish and chips for tea. We read reviews of other restaurants and this seemed to be one of the best reviewed. I can see why. The service was lovely. The food was incredible! It was the first time trying scallops, they didn’t disappoint. The fish and chips were lovely too, both too greasy. The salad dressing was also really flavorful, which was a pleasant surprise

This place has to be one of the best fish restaurants around. We had excellent service from Rohan and the food was first class. We will be back very soon

Lovely, cozy little restaurant. This place fulfilled my seafood cravings as an island girl from the Philippines, and I can honestly say that their seafood menu is fresh out of the sea. Our entire trip to Oban was truly amazing. Those Filipinos who have seafood cravings as long as you are from Oban. Don't let us do two. Two and come to the restaurant. Then order their seafood platter. Way char! Their food is fresh, especially mussels and oysters.

I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. The food was faultless. I had the seafood platter - incredible taste and value (£26.00!!) every bit of seafood was so fresh and even the salad was mouthwatering. The side of fries were superb as well. The service was brilliant, I heard they only opened back up yesterday and the team were on top form! One thing to take from this review - my hotel handed us an “Explore Oban” pamphlet on arrival - EE-USK isn’t mentioned, no idea why and I don’t care. If you’re like me and choose your restaurants based on real reviews and not “town/city guides” please give this place a try you will not be disappointed!

Faultless! Gorgeous little restaurant serving delicious, fresh seafood. We each opted for the seafood platter, all items were fresh and super tasty with sides of delicious crispy chips and bread rolls. Can't fault the food, service or location!

Once we arrived in Oban we treated ourselves to a slightly more sophisticated dinner in this little restaurant right on the port. Classy environment, very nice and well-kept, very kind waiters. Very good food, excellent mussels and penne with salmon. But above all, really huge portions compared to what I expected from such a place. Truly a nice experience.

We lucked out stopping for lunch and to stretch our legs. We spotted this place only after parking in what looked like the best lot we could find. Gorgeous views of the town, ferry, and along the waterfront. Service was very kind and quick. Everything we ate was also outstanding! (Halibut, scallops, oysters, and sticky toffee pudding)

We loved the fish,it was outstanding. 👍😼some of my family members ate a lobster and they said it was quite nice . I couldn’t eat it because I am allergic to prawns but if I wasn’t,I think I would like It ……anyway , the toilet was pretty clean though it was hard to pull out the toilet paper out . We all thought the Thai fish cake was the best . Suggestions :you can make a salmon dish without the smoked part .✌️

EE USK had been specifically recommended to me, and which dishes were excellent. Despite having a dog friendly area, I was not allowed to dine with my friend from Australia and my two dogs. Shame. Long drive for a big disappointment

Lovely dinner on a rainy evening. The service was very friendly and kind. Some dishes were a little expensive. The quality of the food was generally very good.

We went for lunch on a Sunday. It wasnt busy probably because it was a miserable day in November. But the restaurant was very trendy right by the water. We had a starter and a main each. Thai fish cakes and fish and chips. Scallops then lobster. Lovely food we definitely go back.

I read that it was a good idea to make a reservation so I did just that however the restaurant wasn't too busy and arriving earlier than expected we could sit where we wanted which was great. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a great evening and the food did not let us down....it was amazing 🤩

We visited on a busy Saturday night, but the friendly staff went out of their way to fit us in and even managed to get us a window seat. The seafood was fantastic -great quality and reasonably priced. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in Oban!

Excellent lunch in mid November. Moules in particular were great and the best I've ever had. It was an unexpectedly good lunch.
