This was the BEST seafood restaurant in all of SCOTLAND! I had the seafood platter. The scallops, langoustines and mussels were huge and tender. Simply amazing and superb! Would LOVE to have a dinner like that again. We ate there 2 of our 2 days in Oban Thankyou for the experience!

Superb - just a great place to eat, lovely ambience, friendly and efficient service, and excellent value. We began our meal with a delicious and large bowl of some of the finest mussels we have ever eaten ( the taste of the sea was utterly mouthwatering) followed by our favourite main meal of dressed crab, salad and chips. Accompanied by a fine glass of Chablis, a window seat, attentive and respectful service and a fine Oban evening it was pretty much a perfect meal. Thanks to all involved.

This place seems to be riding on its past glory. The food is only average, and the service lacks professionalism, with only very young staff attending to customers. The food was far below what one would expect from a restaurant displaying that many accolades on the door. I fell I made the wrong choice as I was torn between this and the Waterfront Fish House, but I only tried EE-USK, so who knows…

For being Scotland's sea food mecca, this was a disappointment. Crab claw and crayfish were overcooked. The mussels tasted like that. The restaurant seems nicer than it is. Choose another restaurant in Oban!

A beautiful restaurant right on the harbor. Great service and incredible food. Best scallops and oysters I’ve ever had.

There are so many good reviews I don't really need to add anything. The dishes were amazing, scallops and the platter were highlights. Excellent value for top quality seafood. Decent wine list. The staff were courteous and efficient. A window seat looking out over the islands and fishing boats at sunset makes for a very special experience.

The food here is amazing. If you like seafood then you are in for a treat. The salmon dish that we had was quite simply divine. The staff were excellent and the service was amazing. Strongly recommend this one.

Absolutely delicious meal, our fish was cooked to perfection, the sauces on each dish and the mussels could have been eaten on their own. The staff were very helpful and considerate for my gluten free needs being coeliac they understood. Eating here was a pleasure. I'm sad I don't live nearby.

I had the hake special and really enjoyed it. My wife had sea bass and liked it. The view out over the harbour was great. The restaurant is off the main street but has a nicer outlook due to that. There is a great choice of seafood.

Chowder is world top 3! The service was delightful!! I would come here weekly if I lived in Oban!! Fully recommend to anyone and everyone!

I think that "wow" sums this place up! We ordered the fish platter for 2, we initially thought we would order starters but the waitress suggested the platter would be sufficient and she was correct. Every item was cooked or prepared perfectly and it will definitely be something we talk about for a long time!

This is a seafood restaurant with lovely fresh seafood. We had delicious starters and main courses. No space for desserts . Loads of choice for a person with is gluten and dairy free.

Visited on a relatively busy Friday evening in late September as a party of two having been recommended by our hotel and also a local friend. Sat in the conservatory (only dog friendly area) - it was pretty cold (appeared not heated, or if it was, it wasn’t doing a great job!). Most people wearing their coats, including me in 4 layers! If I’m honest, it feels like an excuse to turn more tables to serve food in this area outside of summer/warmer months as it really wasn’t warm enough to sit for more than an hour. We ordered 2 mains as we didn’t want to sit in there for long. Server informed me incorrectly on what I ordered (supposed to be hake with a cheese and breadcrumb crust, what arrived was a loose watery “Thermidor” sauce), so they had to correct and re-do the plate. Server did apologise for the mistake but my husband had finished eating by the time my food arrived. The Hake was poor quality with a vague sprinkling of breadcrumbs and fairly certain no cheese, along with a similarly loose watery sauce sat underneath, leaching out on the rest of the plate (no one wants soggy chips, put them in a pot if a plate is saucy). Salad was mostly beetroot, causing the rest of what was in the salad (onion and tomato) to taste also like beetroot. Not very tasty. Chips were of average quality. My husbands battered monkfish was fine although the tartare sauce was missing from the plate. Side of veg (peas, courgette etc) were overcooked. I fear this is an establishment that relies on its decent reputation and gets away with the standard of food served given the large tourist trade and churns out some fairly average food. Having eaten out in the local area for a few days I can compare similar meals at similar prices of significantly better quality. As a chef and food industry professional I’m pretty disappointed and wouldn’t recommend or return. I really hate leaving poor reviews but believe in sharing disappointing experiences. Do yourself a favour and search out the other excellent food spots outside of Oban.

We had looked at reviews and decided to go here. We didn’t make a booking but managed to get a table luckily. The staff were amazing and helpful. The drinks and food were prompt for how busy it was. The local mussels were amazing and I had the Halibut for the main. The taste was excellent but plate to portion was a bit off, it was enough to eat but could have been a smaller plate

The mussels were amazing. Everything else that we ordered paled in comparison but was still delicious. Views of the water were great. Service was good. Would definitely return.

One of the most beautiful seafood restaurants I have ever been to. I do not trust any seafood, but this restaurant wins big. It is very delicious and you cannot miss it. I ordered fish and chips and salmon. The food is amazingly delicious, you cannot miss it. I charged approximately 40 pounds for two people. Book before you go, it's always crowded.

Great food, rather terrible service. One of our party was rude to the server at the beginning of the meal, the rest of us apologized profusely, but the server continued a grudge for the remainder of our 2-hour dinner: refused to take our order, muttered obscenities under her breath at every interaction, rushed us out of the door. No grace in it at all. Too bad, because the food was quite good.

Terrible terrible experience. Don’t go here. We rang up to check we could get a table with the dog and drove over an hour to get there in good faith only to arrive to be told there were no tables available due to staffing issues. If that’s the case why tell us just an hour earlier to come over? They then promptly went on to sit a lot of other people without explaining why they were allowed to eat there and we weren’t. No apologies for giving us the wrong information and no explanation why they couldnt help us. Rude and nasty.

We enjoyed two lovely means here with Ona as our wonderful server. Try to be in her area upstairs for the wonderful service and the amazing views. Favorites were the lobster & langoustine starter and mussels for two. Reservations definitely required.

We had an excellent dinner. The menu was really good, and our fish was cooked superbly. The serving staff were not very friendly, maybe it was getting close to the end of the season. But otherwise we thought this one of the best dinners we have enjoyed in Oban.

We come here most times we are on our annual trip to Oban. It isn't trying to be more than it is - a good seafood restaurant (not fancy/ frills). You are best to book - particularly during the summer season. The service is quick and very good. Our waitress was very helpful in assisting with our choices. The wine list is also paired with dishes to assist, and there is a good whiskey list. We would recommend for anyone who likes fresh fish and is in Oban. We much prefer EE-USK than the fish restaurant over on the main harbour which we went to once and will never go back.

Nice dinner as the rain was pouring. Fresh fish and plenty of different dishes.

We had a fantastic meal here, could not fault it. I had the Thai fishcakes which were delicious and the scallops which were excellent. Followed by a lovely homemade chewy meringue with fruit. My husband had the prawns for starter followed by salmon and the cheese board. We found every course delicious and the staff work really hard. Beautiful location by the coast too.

I passed my birthday having an amazing dinner at EE-USK !! Staff super friendly and the menu superb with delicious tasty dishes. I recommend the oysters and salmon very delicious!

Incredible selection of local seafood

Always eat here when we visit Oban. Recommend the taster platter of plump, soft mussels, Thai fishcake was superb and soft smoked salmon and prawn parcels. Fish platter of the day was delicious too, also recommend battered haddock

No room in the main restaurant but the extra room is fine The weather is heavy rain Starter Prawn with crab realy nice Main lobster thermaldal with crab claw , wow realy nice Desert not so good , sticky toffee pudding not to my taste But staff understand So overall 5 out of 5 Nice staff

Oh My! Not the cheapest by a long shot but the service, the quality, the flavours. Absolutely FIRST class. We cannot recommend this place enough. Spoiled for choice. Loved it.

Had an excellent dinner at this harbour front seafront restaurant. It sources it's seafood locally fresh. In addition to the food menu, it had an extensive drink offering especially for the local whiskeys. Better to make reservations ahead especially for the weekend.

Great food, great views, helpful staff and all fairly priced. The chowder and fresh mussels were our favourites, however we enjoyed all of the dishes we had.

The food was so bland, it was like everything was cooked in water and with no spices. We had the scallops and the seabass. It was not worth the price and experience. The item with the most flavor were the mussles.

Lovely place for food. Would recommend booking. We were lucky to get a table for 2 but the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Food is so fresh and wonderfully tasty.

Although the place was one of the best rated places here, we experienced the total opposite. The attitude of the waitress was so negative. After her rushing us to order, we waited for 55 minutes for our fish to be Cooked and served. When we asked about our food, they told us that we should have told that we had a bus in 2 hours. My only advice is: just don’t eat here. Just don’t!

Damn! It was so damn good! From start to finish. From the starter platter for two, through the scallops, to the lemon cheesecake.... The best ever eaten to date! The cheeses that my husband had were also excellent! But then to die for

Delicious!!! Absolutely wonderful menu!! The service was slightly lacking as I would have enjoyed a second glass of wine but the server did not return until we were done eating. There was no opportunity to order a second round of drinks. But I would definitely return to taste the food!

Don't order the lobster! Very disappointed with our dinner, waitress said all fish was fresh, so starter was good: crab and langoustine in Marie Rose sauce tasted fresh and the sauce was not overpowering but main was so disappointing, ordered half a lobster and it tasted like it had been cooked that morning and left under the heat lamp all day, didn't taste fresh at all! I love fresh lobster and was really looking forward to this. Very disappointing!

Fish restaurant in front of the port. Excellent service, very fine food. 2 starters (salmon croquette and salmon pâté) 2 fish main courses (halibut and catch of the day) a dessert (mix of small tastings). The bill is a little steep for the Scottish average (£50 each) but, given the quality of the food, I was happy to pay.

Wonderful seafood restaurant with a great view of the bay. Important to book if you want an inside table otherwise there is an enclosed section for walk ins. The menu had plenty to offer for all seafood lovers and there were also some wine pairing recommendations. We started with the scallops and chorizo then I had a basic breaded haddock and chips, which suits my level perfectly, and my wife had the Salmon gratin. Wine ✅ food ✅ view✅.

Went here on a Friday night. Very busy with real atmosphere. Menu was strong, with plenty of amazing seafood dishes. Between me and two mates we had the scallops and chorizo, deep fried brie, and mussels to start, with the fish selection (x2) and sea bass for mains. Would highly recommend for an evening meal in a great location.

Ottimo ristorante, servizio professionale, pesce freschissimo (e ci mancherebbe ) cucinato altrettanto bene. Affacciato sul pier di Oban trovarsi al tramonto (se raramente non trovate nuvolo 😁) è uno spettacolo. Buon rapporto qualitá prezzo.

EE-USK in Oban was fantastic! We had scallops to start, followed by the EE Sea Selection and seafood platter, all incredibly fresh and delicious. Despite being busy, the staff were friendly and found us a table quickly, kindly asking us to enjoy our meal within a specific time. The seafood here is amazing and perfectly cooked. It is a little bit like a cafeteria but the service was good, staff friendly and food is perfect.

Food was okay. Scallops were a bit disappointing for the price and getting 5pcs. Crab didn’t taste that fresh. Some of the fish was great, like the sea bass. Sticky toffee was great. Atmosphere was nice and peaceful. Service could’ve been better.

A delight, from starter to dessert. Well prepared, well stocked plates, the fish cooked as required, offers different fish and shellfish. Homemade desserts. Beautiful whiskey list and beautiful view of the port from the bay window. Not to be missed. A little noisy but that's normal, the downstairs and upstairs rooms were full.

Great seafood restaurant in Oban overlooking the port. The 3 of us had a late lunch and everything was cooked exceptionally well and came out very quickly. My daughter ate her weight in the muscles. I'd highly recommend if you're in Oban.

We are here for the most fresh off the boat seafoods. From the seafood platter, I had the best and most authentic Scottish smoked salmon and the biggest oysters I’ve had, scallops were top notch as well. I recommend this place for a stop if travel to this town that is seafood capital of Scotland

At twice here - enjoyed it both times - had different fish dishes. Nice vibe. Take the effort to get a reservation beforehand!

Really delicious food and wine and great service! The Monkfish was delicious and washed down with great Catarratto white wine. The chips were the BEST - crispy and just right texture. And the service was brilliant - when I asked to swap mash for chips that was fine, when I asked more cheese sauce for my salmon mornay it arrived in an instant! So really great meal, well worth the price. Only think is we wished we had booked ahead to be able to sit inside rather than in the outer extension.

We went to Oban on holidays and we ended up going to this restaurant twice! The food was amazing and the restaurant has a really beautiful view of the pier.

Unfriendly and incompetent staff. Fish dishes and sauces were room temp, took 20 minutes to get a water, staff not attentive and not friendly. View of the harbor was nice.

Absolutely fantastic! If I would live in the aerea, I’d come every week.

Food was good, was a very busy place so suggest booking in advance. Very tourist driven place and in a good spot on the harbour. Not much of a kids menu, just fish and chips or picks starter I was informed.

Upmarket restaurant with lovely seafood nice view too ..the staff are very attentive.

There are so many people that they precook the food. Mussels were cold and dry. Also too expensive for what you get. Oysters were good and staff very nice.

This place was worth the wait in line for a bit. The menu is interesting and varied, fish is really tasty! I especially liked my dessert and window view. All the guys who worked with us that evening were very polite and helped us with advice

Absolutely superb family meal, a great way to finish off our stay in Oban. The quality of the sea food was top notch, and it was extremely well prepared. A decent wine list too, and the desserts/cheeses rounded of the meal in style.

The waitress with blonde hair, her name with T, really wanted me out of here. We ordered a seafood platter, which was rather stale and unfriendly for a team of two. She didn’t help in whatsoever and rushed us to get out of there as soon as she was paid.

Make a reservation if you want to go there. We went by around noon and got a reservation at 21.00. Fantastic food. Fresh and tasty.

A restaurant that deserves the price paid for the quality and quantity of the seafood dishes. Location with large windows overlooking the sea.

Obligatory stop if you are in Oban!

We spent two nights in Oban and ate here both evenings because it was that good. The seafood is fresh and perfectly prepared. Would have like to see a few different sides offered as pairings but the seafood stars were all spot-on.
