This man is just the highlight if the train station in arbroath. Best service in town and he is there in all coldness also. his coffee is the best. I love the Americano but have had the latte and cappuccino too and equally as good. Have to get a coffee each time I get the train and he's there!

Reading all the review I was really looking forward to our visit here. The staff were friendly and the place clean and tidy. I wanted a hot quiche but was told there would be a 20 minute wait so we both had cock-a-leekie soup . There was chicken and bit of leek but this was a very thin plate of soup with no real substance the ratio of stock to the other ingredients was poor. I was also upset by the fact that they allow dogs in the cafe. There was one sitting with it's owner in the corner and it whined all the time we were there . The owner did not seem to be bothered by this .

A really friendly place that shows what can be achieved when a community pulls together to save a pub at it’s heart. Great selection of Gins and really great music events.

We arrived back from a tiring day out,and we were hungry.A quick glance down the High street, and we came upon this oasos. After ordering two fish and chip light bites,we say in and enjoyed. One thing for sure, don't order the full meal, because it is too much.We feasted on the light bites.

Best hospital café in Scotland, home made soups and puddings are excellent, staff are very welcoming and professional, makes the experience of going for appointments a little more bearable.

didnt stay at the rooms, dined in the restaurant. Small but very well decorated place - loved the bathrooms too. Tasting menu is absolutely amazing - the cauliflower veloute was the surprise standout of the evening. Haggis bon bons were also delicious! As was the salmon course. Everything was delicious! Great service too - Maria was a great host. Loved the little touch of leaving the tasting menu near your table so you could follow it. Hope to be back next time we are up in Scotland.

Stopped here for lunch on Saturday afternoon. We drove past it twice as it’s set back from the road and we missed the sign outside. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I ordered the salmon from the specials and my husband had them steak and ale pie. Both were delicious and really good portions.

Delightful Friday lunch on a dim cloudy day. Efficient and friendly welcome and invited to have lunch by the wood stove in the bar as we were the only people booked into the restaurant. Good recommendation. Very cosy and absolutely excellent food with prompt unobtrusive service. Two courses for two £80 including tip. Wonderful venison and delicious puddings followed by coffee. Well worth a trip into the very scenic countryside.

We were 6 friends out for our Christmas meal. We were welcomed and sat at a corner table. It was a bitterly cold day. Sadly, the temperature in the restaurant did nothing to warm us despite being sat near a tepid radiator. There was a table of revellers next to us that were rather loud, playing a quiz and making speeches which spoilt our gathering. This was no fault of the restaurant. The group was inconsiderate to other diners. Our selection was varied. The Christmas dinner was enjoyed by two of the group, the nut roast and steak pie were also met with complimentary remarks. Thd Duck beautifully cooked the accompanying veg delicious, which suited my small appetite. The venison portion was very small, a 2"x2" slice of dophinoise potatoes and two florets of broccoli. Sadly, one member of our group returned home hungry. I wasn't too happy as he belonged to me, so I had to cook on my return home. The apple crumble was delicious, the baked alaska was the Italian version, and sadly, it was not crispy on the outside but delicious. The wine was enjoyed by those who were luckily not driving.
