On a holiday to Montrose and we sat in and ordered a fish supper, tasted lovely all freshly made. The best we have had in a long time. Would highly recommend the meal. Kai told us he is changing the name to Montrose fish and chips so look out for it on the High Street.

Visited this cafe late morning looking for a breakfast. We ordered 4 full Scottish breakfasts and a mix of hot and cold drinks. The place was very family friendly as we had 2 toddlers with us. The waitress was very patient with us as the tots got abit restless at one point. The food came fast and we were very impressed with the meal, clean plates all round. It was a great little find as we felt it was rather difficult to find somewhere we could sit as a family and have some breakfast. Would defo recommend!

Working in the High Street myself and my work colleagues often treat ourselves to fast food at lunchtime. Kai's have recently taken over from the previous chip shop owners and the improvements are huge. The food is delicious and freshly made and the interior has been revamped also. Certainly would recomend

We had a carry out from this place when it was under a previous management and it was awful. The new occupants have re-decorated the place and made it look really attractive, so we decided to give them a try when visiting Montrose. We were pleasantly surprised and found the food to be well cooked and most enjoyable. The service was very pleasant too. We will certainly return to this place.

Reading all the review I was really looking forward to our visit here. The staff were friendly and the place clean and tidy. I wanted a hot quiche but was told there would be a 20 minute wait so we both had cock-a-leekie soup . There was chicken and bit of leek but this was a very thin plate of soup with no real substance the ratio of stock to the other ingredients was poor. I was also upset by the fact that they allow dogs in the cafe. There was one sitting with it's owner in the corner and it whined all the time we were there . The owner did not seem to be bothered by this .

didnt stay at the rooms, dined in the restaurant. Small but very well decorated place - loved the bathrooms too. Tasting menu is absolutely amazing - the cauliflower veloute was the surprise standout of the evening. Haggis bon bons were also delicious! As was the salmon course. Everything was delicious! Great service too - Maria was a great host. Loved the little touch of leaving the tasting menu near your table so you could follow it. Hope to be back next time we are up in Scotland.

The best coffee shop in Angus . Latte always lovely and hot , great selection of scones, cakes etc all at very reasonable price . Afternoon Tea is great value and just love the macaroni cheese they serve as a starter. Excellent service from very pleasant staff.
