The Pavillion @ Stracathro in Angus

We arrived back from a tiring day out,and we were hungry.A quick glance down the High street,and we came upon this oasos.After ordering two fish and chip light bites,we say in and enjoyed.One thing for sure,don't order the full meal,because it is too much.We feasted on the light bites.

Reading all the review I was really looking forward to our visit here. The staff were friendly and the place clean and tidy. I wanted a hot quiche but was told there would be a 20 minute wait so we both had cock-a-leekie soup . There was chicken and bit of leek but this was a very thin plate of soup with no real substance the ratio of stock to the other ingredients was poor. I was also upset by the fact that they allow dogs in the cafe. There was one sitting with it's owner in the corner and it whined all the time we were there . The owner did not seem to be bothered by this .

Outstanding food and service, a real treat. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a special meal.

Cracking bar. Great food . Friendly and what a bustling atmosphere. Looking forward to popping in again. Always busy for good reason. 👍
