Wonderful view overlooking the Loch, warm friendly pub with twinkling lights. Nice pub type food options & the steak & pie were delicious. The bedroom was clean, comfy bed, great shower & Loch view & had a fab coffee machine. Barman friendly & made a whisky suggestion & it was delicious 😋 breakfast was plentiful & sets you up for the day. If I was being picky I would say fresh fruit & a cappuccino instead of filter coffee but this would not stop us returning & we will definitely return.

Honestly… The title says it all! From the Arizona desert in the southwestern United States, to seaside St. Andrews in Scotland… We were told the absolute best fish and chips we could have would be found here at Cromar’s. And without a doubt, that’s exactly what they were! Fantastic portions, perfect fish, excellent chips (and we were lucky enough to meet the owner and chat for a bit). I cannot possibly recommend this place enough!

We stopped early for breakfast driving to the Glencoe Mountains. Our food (breakfast egg and sausage ciabatta) was good, but nothing special. It was warm on a cold day; so, that itself was appreciated. It's an order at the counter service and they bring it out to the table. They were efficient, and it wasn't crowded, as we were there around 8:00. The store's prices for goods looked similar, if not a little higher than other stores like Tesco.

After remortgaging the house we decided to get some lunch at the Snack Stop. We had lots of money in the bank and decided to use as much as possible. Suffice to say we weren’t let down. Upshot is if you want a ridiculously expensive lunch on paper plates and cardboard cutlery then this is the place for you. £6.50 for a box of 6 sad looking nuggets , £9.99 for a baked potato with 2 fillings. Keep driving past so your kids will get some Christmas presents this year.

Quiet atmosphere, quick service, Madison served me, very professional and polite, Halloween so she had her spooky makeup on and looked amazing! Michelle was my chef and the half chicken was amazing, also hot honey cornbread was very good although quite sweet. Will definitely return again

My family came in yesterday after spending a great night at the Lodge for my uncles 80th birthday. They were out for a walk in the morning and popped into the coffee shop on my recommendation. They all told me how rude the lady was that served them. She banged the chair down next to them with a face like thunder. She was very aggressive. My father was so annoyed he told me he was ready to just walk out. Very disappointing after I told them to come in. Maybe she was having a bad morning, Im not sure what was going on with her but its not a nice way to treat customers. Oh and my dads coffee was cold too. Not so good. It makes me sad because Ive been in a lot and always been happy with the service and the food.

Popped in on a Sunday early afternoon for some lunch with 3 children. We seated ourselves pretty quickly but had to ask for kids menus which took a while for the staff to find. Ordered at the bar for drinks, asked to have one of the kids meal deal drinks as part of the order and told had to order that kids meal now as well. So we placed the order for 3 kids meals (only one to include a drink), 3 coffees, 2 irn bru and a lemonade. £47!!! I think there may be a 10% service charge added, not sure as partner paid and didn't see receipt but seemed very expensive. Anyway we later ordered the adult meals and food came out relatively quickly. However it was a Sunday so we ordered 4 roast dinners, someone wanted steak but that was off apparently. When asked if we wanted anything else, I asked for apple sauce for the pork. Sorry we don't have that I was told. Seriously who serves pork without apple sauce being available? I mean they called it roast pork but it was essentially a pork loin steak with some new potatoes that were dehydrated along with some parsnips and carrots, typical tasteless over sized Yorkshire pudding and some watery oily brown liquid that I guess constitued gravy. I really wouldn't recommend this, I usually finish meals out and I really couldn't with this, partly the portion was mainly stodge and also because it just wasn't great. A bit of quantity over quality for the whole meal. The staff were OK, though not the service you would expect from such a known pub. It's overpriced and staff are just a bit laid back. I think they mean welll but definite lack of direction and no leadership. I won't return for food or probably even a drink. Being quite remote there probably won't be any need to - only been twice (once just for drinks) and only because we had visitors up from down south. With a decent menu and soe enthusiastic staff it could be great. You can't reserve a table and I think this is because they don't really want to do the decent meal out service so maybe just go for drinks, dissapointing.

Nice room, good dinner. Breakfast reasonable. Lovely village, ferry to islands and the other side of Loch Lomond. Interesting lounge with stuffed birds

Stayed here for one night at the start of the Loch Lomond and Cowal Way walk. Very impressed with the conversion from post industrial site to leisure complex and the spa and infinity pool were a highlight. We were in one of the lodges which was a bit of a trek in the rain from the main building but the rooms were lovely and there were leisure facilities at the lodge too, although we didn't use them. Food and service in the restaurant were good. I wouldn't say the food was exceptional but it was more than acceptable and pretty reasonable value, with a wide choice of dishes. Overall, would recommend and hope to be back in the futire.

The location was fantastic, but the restaurant itself felt tired and lacked cleanliness, including the restrooms. For instance, there were cobwebs on the light fixture near our table. Additionally, there was no draught ale available, which is disappointing for a bar/restaurant with a steak pie as its signature dish. The only draught option was Guinness, which felt somewhat embarrassing for a place that advertises itself as a bar/restaurant. When I requested a bottle of Corona, it was served without lime. The steak pie was underwhelming, and the mashed potatoes were cold. At £16.95 for a steak pie, the quality needs to be much better to encourage a return visit. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be returning, as it fell short compared to competitors.

Had a fish supper and single fish. Chips were excellent but the fish was extremely greasy. Very busy at the time but fish not allowed to drain for a few minutes. Disappointed.

We decided to go for a walk up in Aberfoyle and went here for some lunch. We were warmly welcomed, and our order was taken promptly. Food was delicious (burger and macaroni) Staff were fantastic. Only 2 working when every table was full. They did great! They welcomed our wee soggy wet dog in (even though he barked.. sorry about that!) Would definitely recommend and come back. This is a wee homely pubgrub place and it's right up our street.
