Had dinner on Saturday night poor quality

The rooms are looking tired but I understand a refurb is happening soon. I would have given a 10 if this was based on staff only - the staff team are incredibly helpful especially the breakfast team in particular Patricia who frankly has such excellent interpersonal skills and can’t do enough to help. I speak from my own exchange but also in observing Patricia with other customers .

- You get phishing mails, they don t care - housekeeping wakes u up at 9am - no fridge - TV not working - too lazy (?) to make warm food at 11am in the morning - coffee horrible and nearly 4 pound - bathroom smelly + nightshift really friendly + Bar open until 5am

I stayed here the weekend gone and had an amazing time. Location is fantastic, couple minutes walk from City Hall. I was in the executive suite even though I booked just a regular and this was actually great as I had something that needed to be ina fridge. There was goodies inside the fridge which was really appreciated. Breakfast the next morning was a buffet style with a fry which was lovely, I only wish I had more time to lounge there but I was ina rush. I visited from Dublin as I needed an early start from Belfast and I’d stay here again just for a night away. Shannon at reception was so welcoming and friendly. She helped me with my questions and always had a smile. She’s a wonderful person to have front of house. If the TV had Netflix or Disney and there was a power outlet closer to the bed that would have topped my experience! But I’d still visit again, maybe closer to Christmas when the markets are on

For a hotel to have a dirty room when you go in to check-in is embarrassing. In addition to the dryer and where the torn toilet paper is hung, it is embarrassing. I had dinner and breakfast, the fish for dinner dry and inedible. And not to say that the breakfast was poor. The level of being in a four-star hotel is sad. With those deficits.

Needs to learn which country it is in. Great Britain is part of a country BUT not a country. The country is United Kingdom. Otherwise a nice comfortable hotel with excellent staff.

The Clayton Hotel in Belfast is modern, centrally located, and well taken care of. The staff were professional and friendly. Our stay was part of our big tour of Ireland, and this hotel was the perfect place to stay and see so much that Belfast has to offer.

Busy downtown Belfast hotel, very short walk to city centre. Coffee and various selection of pastries etc in what appeared to be a cafe bar. Had to wait quite a while for someone to give us a copy of the lunch menu.Not sure of the room rates but visiting the reception and bar area it gave the impression of a budget hotel .Did not stay so can't give honest opinion on rooms.

I have no complaints about the bar area, however the restaurant side is a different matter altogether. They stop serving food at 6pm sharp, we witnessed people coming in at 5.50pm to be told abruptly, that they stop at 6 and if the wanted to eat, they had to get their order in quickly. A restaurant on a caravan park closing at 6pm - really, can't and don't really understand their reasoning behind this, especially when the Adventure Golf and the Swimming pool are open till 7pm.

Lovely hotel only down fall Is there tvs in the rooms need updated to smart tvs. I booked a night away on Easter Sunday with my partner for her 30th birthday and we wanted to watch a show on amazon prime that we watch together so I booked a exclusive suite room so we had the extra room with sofa and we couldn't watch anything.

What a wonderful hotel the staff are brilliance the rooms was perfect and the food was the best, and the service we had a big thanks to Josh he made our night to the top level, the place to stay in when you go to Belfast.

Although our arrival was at 2 am and without a prior reservation, the reception staff treated us with unbeatable treatment.

Very nice hotel..suitable for short city break. In pleasant part of city. Disappointed pool was closed. Was not aware of this. Dinner deal very nice and food of good quality..just limited in choice.

Perfect location in City Center and the staff could not have been any more helpful. The room was small but certainly comfortable and I slept very well. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but had coffee and drinks in the bar. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if back in Belfast.

Stay here for the C2C weekend have to say fantastic hotel,lovely rooms food was excellent and staff were exceptional 👌 A big mention to our waiter Leon,nighttime receptionist Rory and Nighttime waiter John this Hotel is lucky to have these guys couldn't be anymore helpful Very friendly and enjoyed the banter with them Definitely made our stay very enjoyable.Keep up the good work guys and we'll definitely book again

The self-service check-in was quick and easy to use. I received a free upgrade to an executive room on the 7th floor, which was large and comfortable. Sometimes in the morning the water wasn't very hot, and there was an occasional but very loud water gurgling noise from above the ceiling near the door to inside the room.. I think the noise only happened when the heating was on, it wasn't frequent but was very loud, as if somebody had pulled the plug out of a swimming pool. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the service was quick, with reasonable prices.

Arrived about 11.30am hoping to leave our bags in a room until check in time at 3pm but we were told our room was ready and could use it straight away! Brilliant. Room was clean and tidy, staff were professional and breakfast was lovely! Would definitely stay here at clayton belfast again.

We really enjoyed our Saturday lunch at Clayton. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and reasonably priced, the whole place had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Toilets were spotless.

We have a static caravan on-site, so the bar and restaurant is very handy. To be honest, we don't really eat here often, but do visit regularly for drinks. Lots of outdoor seating options, plus a nice cosy bar area, with additional soft seating around the restaurant. Staff are always welcoming, friendly and efficient. Prices have increased lately, but that's the same everywhere these days. Considering how big the caravan park is, the bar has never been that busy ( except when live music or events are on).

Great on-site bar and restaurant. Lovely friendly and welcoming staff throughout. Good food choices at reasonable prices but best to book a table as it can get busy. Carry-outs can be a bit of a hit or miss depending on how busy they are, if too busy, you can't get a carry out, which can ve very disappointing. Drinks very reasonable too.

Visited with my son and family. My grandson has autism and can find waiting tricky. 30 minutes after we arrived waitress arrived to say there was a mix up and our order was delayed. We said initially that was fine as my grandson was quite settled some time later she informed us it was being plated, but quickly returned to say that was a mistake. By this point numerous tables who had arrived some time after us were being served their food. We enquired a number of times as to where our food was, only to be told sorry and that the waitress would return to discuss our order. She then avoided us and preceded to deliver food to others. I again caught her attention and asked what was happening, she again apologised, and tried to walk away. I told her it was past apologies now, we needed answers, the manager then appeared and I explained that we had been waiting at least an hour and that my grandson was getting stressed. He abruptly argued back stating that we hadn't, my grandson became extremely upset. We still had no explanation of where our food was and ended up leaving minus our meal with an extremely upset child. When my husband returned later the manager continued to be rude and went to serve someone else who came to the bar after us when we tried to settle the drinks bill. Will not eat here again. Disgusting attitude and service.

We needed a place for a family birthday celebration. Few places could meet our need to seat 12 people. We called and the Clayton Restaurant accommodated us in grand style. They even allowed us to bring our own cupcakes to complete our celebration. Great menu excellent service. We will be back.

Very disappointed. Had to wait over an hour for a order. My partner had to go in twice to asked where the order was, then I had to go in to see what was happening, Order finally arrived, with no apology for the poor service, but plenty dirty looks from the staff members Will not be hurrying back any time soon.

Great evening meal and staff were really good- a special mention to our waitress EMMA who treated us like royalty - what a gem 👏 Scotland needs more Emma’s in their hospitality trade . Would definitely go back here - great food and reasonable prices

Went here yesterday after being recommended it by some people we had met at the local garden centre about half an hour previously - both they and my wife and I were put at tables right by the queue of people waiting to get in, so felt we were on show and promptly left! The other couple suggested we try Clayton restaurant as an alternative, hence our visit. We're so glad we did. Great menu - both my wife and I had toasted sandwiches and fully expected to receive just that - instead we also got a beautiful portion of salad and crisps and along with a pot of tea and a huge coffee the whole lot came to about £14. Brilliant value and friendly staff who took the time to chat with us as the place was quite quiet when we visited, but was starting to fill up by the time we left. Will definitely return again!

It is a great location on the main A91 St Andrews to Cupar road - with plenty parking. Popped in on Saturday and was surprised they weren't following the Goverment's new guidelines on hospitiality. Yes, they are taking your details for the Trace and Track, however it could easily be missed as its a form at end of the bar They have tape marked out for 1 metre distancing and screens on the bar area, however they are still allowing EVERYONE to queue and order drinks and food at the bar, even though the new ruling states - 'there should be no queueing inside premises, such as at bars' While we were sitting outside, people were leaving tables and more people arriving, however no staff were out cleaning the table and chairs etc. On a positive note though, prices are very reasonable for both food and drink

Because we had a toddler we ate in the soft play area. The food , which was brought to us, was absolutely delicious. The soft play area was spotlessly clean and my grandson had a ball. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

I have been coming to the soft play for a few years and the children play while I have a coffee and cake . However I was told today that it’s self service in the play area to I was expected to carry a hot coffee with a small child . This was news to me as the staff have always been lovely and carried it through for me . There was no one in the restaurant.

I had a nice meal with my family. The menu was decent and the food good and reasonably priced. Right on the main road with lots of parking so very handy

This place has so much potential. The food is lovely, it's in a great spot but the service and staff is just so poor. Completely agree with the previous comments, the staff need training on customer service and timeliness

Came here with my family for a meal for my birthday. There was a variety of dishes to choose from the menu. If you don't want a huge adult sized meal you can choose a kids meal which is still big. We all thirley enjoyed it. Staff were very helpful & pleasant too. Will definitely be back.

Al llegar a tomar el té el domingo 18 de agosto y esperar durante años en el letrero de "por favor espere para sentarse", eventualmente fuimos a preguntar dónde podíamos sentarnos e íbamos a sentarnos en el restaurante, pero porque los niños querían jugar en el área de juegos para niños nos dijeron que teníamos que sentarnos allí, con lo cual no tuvimos ningún problema, pero la camarera fue particularmente grosera y siguió diciendo que esas son las reglas. Entramos y nos sentamos, pero ella nunca regresó para ofrecernos un menú, así que terminamos volviendo al restaurante para pedir un menú y nos dijeron "están ahí" como se suponía que debíamos saber. Una vez más, tuvimos que pasar y ordenar en la caja registradora ya que todavía no había nadie. Cuando se trataba de pedir bebidas, nos dijeron "allá" cuando ella señaló otro trozo donde teníamos que conseguir las bebidas. Cuando finalmente llegó la comida, fue lo suficientemente agradable, pero simplemente la puso sobre la mesa y se fue. Nunca trajo cubiertos o salsas ni dije una palabra. Encontramos los cubiertos nosotros mismos y luego nos dimos cuenta de que faltaba poppadom en el curry. Tuve que volver a pedirlo y esa camarera fue tan grosera que ni siquiera levantó la cabeza cuando fui a preguntar sobre eso. Es posible que hayamos tenido un dulce pero nunca recibimos la oferta. Por qué esa señora está sirviendo clientes está más allá de mí. Simplemente grosero y nos desanime cada vuelta. Se necesita mucho entrenamiento de servicio al cliente, ¡no deberíamos haber sentido un inconveniente!

Fabulous food, really can't fault it and the service was excellent. I just don't appreciate being sushed at the end of my meal when they decided to start the bingo early! Will make me reconsider my next visit that's for sure. Really disappointed

Llegamos para tener un almuerzo familiar los domingos y después de una larga espera en el cartel de "por favor espere aquí para que nos sentaran", preguntamos si habíamos reservado. Dijimos no y buscábamos una mesa para 4 adultos y 2 niños. "Ohhh, no estoy seguro de que podamos hacer eso", dijo una mujer gruñona, que no nos dio la bienvenida, y se fue presumiblemente a preguntar al personal de la cocina si posiblemente podrían hacer frente a un poco más de trabajo. No es que hubiera muchos en el restaurante en ese momento, muchas mesas vacías, ¡todas están reservadas aparentemente! Regresó y ofreció una mesa para 4 y dijo que los niños podían sentarse en cada extremo. ¡Nos dijo con una voz autoritaria que DEBEMOS reservar la próxima vez! La idea de Oh, lo siento por ser clientes que quieren gastar una gran cantidad de dinero ganado con usted. Ciertamente no nos sentimos bienvenidos. Tomamos la mesa, fuimos a buscar un par de sillas adicionales al fondo de la sala. La mujer regresó y, rápida y agresivamente, preguntó de dónde obteníamos las sillas. Supongo que deberíamos habernos parado alrededor de la mesa durante 10 minutos para ver si un miembro del personal podría conseguir un par de sillas para nosotros.La comida era razonablemente buena, sin embargo, la mujer recogió nuestros platos antes de que todos hubieran terminado de comer, no nos preguntó si queríamos un postre o un café. Después de esperar 15 minutos después de terminar nuestra comida principal, ¡supongo que o bien no nos quedan postres, o nos quieren ir! Simplemente pagamos y nos fuimos tan rápido como pudimos. ¿Iremos de nuevo? ¡No es probable!

I went here for tea time and ordered the steak pie,it came promptly and was served with a smile,it was very well presented and ample to suffice anyone,also if I was honest it was tasty,the veg was fresh and the pie was perfect.well done Clayton.

The food is typical pub/cafe standard fare. Nice little soft play area for young kids which is free if you are eating there. There is also an outdoor park. Staff could be better.Waited a good five minutes at the till to be served while the staff chatted in the back. The lady clearing the tables was quite rude and snatched the menus from our table when we obviously hadn’t returned them quick enough! Top tip make enough menus so they can stay on the tables.

order was early which was a lovely surprise. food was piping hot still and tasted amazing. will always use this takeaway now

Very happy with the service but the food was awful, had to ring up for a refund. They happily came to collect the food and gave me my refund so I really appreciate they did that for me as some restaurants don’t do that!

They delivered my food to the wrong address, who contacted me to tell me. Once I've told the shop they picked the food and tired to deliver it to me. With no consideration to the fact that the food could of been contaminated. They also gave my personal details to this random person, with no consideration of them breaching data protection. They remade the food once we refused to accept it, but they had no remorse for their actions. They were more concerned that this address took the food in. Poor customer services, despite being regular customers.

The food was nice apart from the parmasan as the base was burnt went to waste.

Best takeaway for miles, pizzas are fantastic, chicken fillet burger is great. I won't order from anywhere else

Had an excellent high tea for my daughters birthday. Scones and cakes were so fresh and a great selection. Staff are very helpful. We will definitely be back.

Unusual to find somewhere that produces an equally (very) high quality of both pizzas and curries etc. Totally recommend. No wonder so many other takeaways in Clayton had to close!!

Amazing food the calzone is soooooo yum

The burgers were of poor quality, the Mexican chilli burger came and wasn’t what we expected. It was a burger with a little burger relish on, that’s it! Delivery was earlier than expected

Food was average !! Got a meal deal forgot part of my order rang up at 9.15 to tell them for them and to bring the rest of the order. They said it would be 10 mins !! It came at 10pm !! I rang them up to say i wasnt happy all they could say or they just set off no sorry no nothing. Will not to ordering from here again !!!! Get your phone people to learn some GOOD costmer service !!

Used to order from here every week sometimes more than once, food quality has got progressively worse. Will find a new regular takeaway after multiple late delivered orders that tasted bland.

Rather disappointed!! Usually food from here is okay, however today it was way below par. We ordered two pizzas, one of which was a create your own..despite this I do not believe that the pizzas were fresh as they had gone hard and rubbery which should be impossible given the distance from our home to the take away (could not collect due to having young children and no car). The cheese had gone hard and the pizza was luke warm, again something that shouldn't be possible had they of been made fresh. I'm really disappointed and will not be ordering again. Steer clear of the pizzas.

Clayton is a growing caravan park and the restaurant offers good food and a great bar. Entertainment for kids and they often have seasonal activities. Today they had also put on an easter hunt and had put up blow-up castle for the kids. Though my kids are grown up and prefer playing pool in the games room nearby.

ordered for whilst my son and I watched football (big Bradford city fans watching a rare TV game). Max’s starved himself all night so he can have some treat food whilst watching, it’s not even turned up, and Clayton Spice have not answered 8 calls so far.

Food has still not arrived despite ordering around 18:00. At first 30 minutes was added to the order which is fair enough as the snow is quite bad. However it is now over 40 minutes since it was supposed to arrive. And when I called the restaurant they said he had set off and would be 5-10 minutes. No apology for the lateness whatsoever. Which I think is bad customer service. Normally my go to takeaway however I now may have to reconsider:(

I orderd cheesy chips what I received was chips that was lol cardboard covers in cheese that was harder than you could ever imagine never agen will I be ordering this we have asked every time we order not to over cook the chips or send scabby ones and there the same every time if not worse !

Food here is always great, lovely hot pizzas, only complaint this time is they forgot to send out the chips I ordered, it was nearing closing time by the time I received my order so didn't bother contacting them

I have been visiting here for a few years and the past couple months have been a real disappointment.

Food was great, steak pie meat was cooked to perfection, the veg was fresh and spot on in terms of crunch. The pastry was very dry, but that is my only gripe with food.

Ordered a pizza without cheese as I'm allergic. Came with cheese. Rang to try sort out. Staff were rude and said would not send correct order unless I paid for it again. After further argument said I would need to pay at least half of cost to get another which I refused. Now left with a pizza I cannot eat. Will never use again!

This is the best pizza in and around the clayton area and beyond. Will not buy from anyone else pizza is always the same value for money ten starz

Normally the food is great. Ordered cheese burger and chips and chocolate cake and custard, the burger had basically no cheese, the salad was really thickly cut onion, a tiny slice of cucumber and three pieces of lettuce so the onion overpowered everything, the chips had clearly been microwaved to reheat and was so hard and dry they were inedible. The cake and custard would of been great if the plastic container they were sent in didn't have a cracked and snapped lid which was in tiny pieces in the custard leaving it inedible. Really disappointed won't be ordering again.

starters and curry’s spot on Just pizzas seems to lack flavour unfortunately

My curry was drowning in oil not very nice. The oil had also spilt all over the delivery bag inside covering everything. By the time I cleaned it all up to serve it was all cold apart from the oily curry. Bad experience for me as it was my first time using so will not use again.

I'm afraid I won't be leaving any stars as I'm appalled at the service,attitude from this company..after several phone calls, rude attitude my ONE pizza arrived nearly 2 hours late..every phone call I was assured it was on its way,arrived at 9pm... disgusted is an understatement. we've never ordered from this place and certainly won't be ordering ever again.
