Had a really nice, relaxed meal with my son and our dog. Dogs aren’t allowed in the main dining room, but in warm weather they have outdoor seating at the back that you can use. As today was cold, that was closed but we could sit in the small dining room by the entrance, which was perfect as my excitable young pup could relax as it was a calm environment. Lovely food, very friendly and helpful staff - we’ll definitely come again.

This was our second visit and thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in this fantastic house. The food is amazing, beautifully presented and you looked forward to every course. The staff were extremely efficient, happy and helpful. Can't wait to return.

Had lunch here today and totally blown away by the quality of the food. Possibly one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever encountered and there’s not enough superlatives to describe the caramel apple granny!! Service was great too. Just go!!

We were staying just down the road in Tayinloan and saw this place as we passed by. We promised ourselves a visit and we have loved it. A fantastic brunch today. I had been given an itison voucher for my birthday for 2 brunch dishes and either 2 hot drinks or non alcoholic wine. We opted for an Americano and a tea, fantastic big cups, and an apple juice for my son. Ordered the Gourie Goucho and the travelling Scotsman for eating and my son insisted on Mac cheese which the kitchen were very accommodating with, even at 10am! All food was delicious and you can tell the quality in the ingredients as well as the banter. A fantastic place, where you you wait for quality fresh food. Brilliant, quirky spot.

We went here for an impromptu lunch today. We both had fish and chips. I'm not a chip fan so asked for a jacket potato with butter and this was not a problem. The battered fish was the best we've tasted in recent times. Beautiful and sparkling fresh with gorgeous big flakes. The owner told us it had only been delivered at 12 noon and it showed. The jacket potato was delicious and so were the chips The tartare sauce was great and so were the mushy peas. Completely flawless. For 2 generous portions and 2 diet cokes it cost £26 and it was worth every penny. We'll be back

The location, the restaurant, the staff and the food are all excellent. My partner and I had a truly wonderful Sunday lunch and each dish (cheese souffle, John Dory and blueberry pana cotta) worthy of 10 out of 10. scores. My only concern is that the 25% increase in the price may deter future customers.
