The food here is really awful, they use cheap cuts of meat but charge the same as other restaurants that provide good quality meat. Returned sirloin steak as it was substandard, it resembled frying steak rather that sirloin- thin, chewy and tough- definitely could not justify £18.95. I chose the burger as a replacement for the ‘sirloin’ unfortunately the quality was also poor, have had much better burgers from chip shops- thin, over processed, cheap meat & really bland. My partner had the rump streak, marginally better than the ‘sirloin’ but to be honest I’ve purchased more substantial steaks from Tesco at £3.50 each. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but because of the unacceptable standard of the food we definitely won’t be returning.

Avoid this restaurant. Went for late lunch. Place was almost empty but it felt like we were annoying staff by being there. Wasn't overly enthused by menu choices but eventually ordered chicken stack with bacon & leek sauce - absolutely horrible. Clumpy, solid, tasteless mash. Cloying sauce with a weird, almost synthetic taste. Chicken was tough and stringy. Worst of all, the mass of greasy tobacco onions on top dripping into the meal. Cooked in old oil that most definitely needed changing. Couldn't get rancid taste out of my mouth. My mum didn't fare much better with her chicken goujons and chips and side order of onion rings. All infused with that awful old oil taste. Again, chewy stringy chicken. I drew the staff's attention to the issues, particularly with the oil, they took the onion rings off the bill. But I won't return as the food is beyond terrible, the atmosphere almost oppressive. Flies buzzing around our table. Huge changes are needed here.

Wouldn’t advise going here at all …. Service beyond slow and when the food did arrive was cold and unpleasant… chilli chicken was swimming in a horrid sticky sauce and salmon was dry and something your granny would’ve cooked in the 1970’s. Even paying was an undertaking- standing at bar for 15 mins waiting to pay … if you’re starving just keep driving.

Banbridge Ladies Netball Club held our annual awards night in the Belmont Hotel on 7th May and what a fantastic experience we had! Ian had the hall set up perfectly for our arrival at 530pm that evening, the food was served efficiently at 6pm and was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice from their buffet range! Michael could not have done enough for us and made sure our 192 guests were well looked after and catered for, this number of people was absolutely no bother to the Belmont at all! Every single member of staff was polite and friendly! We have already booked to host our anniversary gala dinner here in September and we will definitely be using this venue again next year for our awards! We’ve had great feedback from coaches, players and parents! I could not recommend the Belmont highly enough! Get your event booked here… you won’t regret it!!!

Called in for a quick brunch to share. Ham and cheese ciabatta. Cut in two. Halves placed on large dinner plates. No garnish of small salad or chips. Was told I would have to pay for packet crisps if I wanted chips!!! coffee and 1 juice. £11 what a expensive lunch. Total embarrassment for a restaurant who had many visitors in that day from other countries coming in for lunch. Will never be back.

On Wednesday night we wnet to the The Front Bar in Banbridge. Our mail was very good, but the service was not up to standard. When we went in we waited for about 5 minutes before any one came to serve us. We eventually got our meal and as I said the food was good, but the staff and not trained properlly. This not the fault of the staff, but the management themselves. I think for what our meal cost the service could have been much better.

Attended a murder mystery night on Friday 1 march. Food was excellent and the event was brilliant fun. It was a gift for my birthday and my first such event. It's a brilliant night's crack in a brilliant location. Thanks to everyone involved including other diners. Highly recommend. I'll be back. Ha Ha Haaa...

We were visiting north coast for a family occasion with members having flown in from different locations and we were all so looking forward to our Ulster Fry or 'Culture Fry' as they call it on their menu. We were so disappointed - our plates were cold and the food only lukewarm. In particular the soda was tasteless and really bland and stodgy. Sourdough toast wasn't great either and no marmalade on offer at all. On a plus point the flat white coffee and French toast were good but I'd definitely try somewhere else on the main street if you are looking for your fry up !

Visited Friday 12 th July two roast dinners cold roast potatoes asked for them to be warned up did it for us they asked us did we want any condiments we said mustard please fine served mustard then asked for bill they charged us £3 pound for the mustard which would be bad enough in any situation but served cold toasties and then charged for mustard and people wonder why restaurants and hotels are closing regularly I think £18 is enough for any roast dinner anywhere thanks
