Attended a murder mystery night on Friday 1 march. Food was excellent and the event was brilliant fun. It was a gift for my birthday and my first such event. It's a brilliant night's crack in a brilliant location. Thanks to everyone involved including other diners. Highly recommend. I'll be back. Ha Ha Haaa...

I just had the best meal ever, fish and chips, food was perfect, service couldn't be better, simple food but elevated, amazing, staff also excellent 👌

We had a wonderful last minute family dinner in Alexander’s . The staff were very attentive, we didn’t have to wait long to be served or receive our drinks order. The menu had plenty to choice from and the food was cooked perfectly. Thanks for the enjoyable evening.

Really enjoyed a meal out with the family here whilst visiting Holywood. The food was absolutely beautiful, I had a steak sandwich with peppercorn sauce and chips which was to die for! Staff were great, food was amazing, we will definitely be back!

Sunday lunch - did the unthinkable and read other reviews before going but must say agree with all that I read. You book table for lunch so you expect to see a laid table with cutlery, place settings and maybe water and wine glasses. WRONG!! A desserted and sticky table awaited us. Plus you don't expect to see kitchen staff leaning over side of bar - so unprofessional!! Sunday roast was great - hot and flavoursome and decent portion size. We had desserts and chesseboard but sadly was informed bar was out of port! Plenty of cheese but not enough crackers and a few grapes would've been lovely rather than picalilli which we found odd. Overall, a decent lunch. Filled and satisfied. Thanks.

Attended a gin tasting menu event (hosted by Copelands Distillery) and it didn’t disappoint. Fantastic value for money. Food was really lovely and the cocktails were superb. To top the evening off, a guitarist then came and played at 9:30 and was truly outstanding I’d definitely go back.

Had an amazing meal here tonight the only thing that outshone the food was the lovely and engaging staff. We went for the steak night and both where cooked to absolutely perfection and extremely taste.

We had booked in for dinner in the new 'Drawing Room' upstairs. Upon arrival didn't really seem to matter we had booked as just shown to a table. No issues as nice table. However no tables, including ours were set for dining. The waitress then brought us the menu but had to ask for a wine menu. The food menu was disappointing with only 3 options available for vegetarian, meat and fish. She explained the food came as small plates but with extremely limited menu we went for the short cross rib and ordered a couple of sides. It felt awkward and had feeling from start things wouldn't go well. We picked wine from the menu which they didn't have picked another didn't have and finally went for a Riesling at £38. This then turned out to be a Riesling Trocken and entirely different to menu and not great. Another waiter then brought a paper napkin and knife and fork which felt like something you would be given in a fast food chain. The food arrived and indeed a small plate of food for £14. It was hard to actually tell what the main was but when asked shortly afterwards my wife already said she was g enjoying it and girl just went ok and walked away. We both picked at veg and sides but didn't eat the main. When the same girl returned she asked again and I said no we didn't enjoy as you can see we haven't eaten it as it was awful. She said she would say to someone took plates away and nothing more said and didn't return. We then asked for the bill and when this arrived all the food had been charged for and my wife then queries why it said 'Lamb' on our bill as we ordered beef! The waitress then said oh sorry did you not order that? That's my mistake I've been working all day, did apologise and only then remove 2 mains and returned bill. Nothing else offered, no alternative food given and both left dumbfounded and starving! How you manage to served someone lamb when they have ordered beef is beyond me, considering the menu is so small. We had planned on staying for the evening and trying out the cocktail menu but sadly this shocking experience and the fact we were both starving meant we immediately paid and left and went to Joxer. The staff seemed completely out of their depth and untrained to deliver luxury experience they are trying to sell. The menu is very limited, overpriced and very disappointing. The waitress point blank said no you can't have breads or anything from menu downstairs. There was also live music and whilst still eating tables were moved and put right beside ours and clearly regulars who weren't eating being allowed in to drink and have seats for live music. Make up your mind what you want to do with the space as this is unacceptable for paying customers who are there for food and luxury experience not to be squeezed in with drinkers. Sadly we won't ever be back, Holywood has too many places for good food were service is also at the forefront.

When entering the restaurant I was asked if we had a booking I gave the employee our name, didn’t check anything and seated us at a table that wasn’t ready for dining customers. We were given a cocktail and food menu. I asked for a wine list upon trying to order my first choice of wine the waitress came back to say they didn’t have it, the wine menu was an old one. After the third attempt we finally got a bottle of our choice. The food menu is very restrictive we both ordered the ribs and two side dishes (we were told the dishes were small). Food arrived promptly but was a complete disaster. The meat was uneatable, when the waitress came back I told her there was a problem with the meat, she just looked at me. When the plates were cleared my husband said about the meat again she said she would tell the kitchen. After having nothing the eat we just asked for the bill and finished the wine. When the bill came it listed two lamb dishes, I queried this with the waitress. She had made the mistake of ordering the wrong dishes, this would not only explain why we didn’t enjoy the mains but to serve both customers the wrong dish is appalling. Only then did the two mains come off the bill. The restaurant feels as though it is managed by someone who doesn’t have a clue how to run an establishment in hospitality. Holywood has no many other fabulous restaurants don’t waste your money here.

Found this place by accident, welcomed by friendly staff, got a table and served quickly! Had a burger and chicken caeser salad! First class. Chips yummy 😋 so was the burger, charred chicken was delicious! 🥰 Salad was yummy 😋

We visited as a family of four we had Sunday roast one turkey and ham, one roast beef both were great! two kids meals chicken and chips followed by delicious fresh fruit meringues with fresh cream and triple chocolate brownies with ice cream, the food was excellent and the service was also very good, a good atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon, we will definitely be back 👍

Booked online one Sunday morning, was called an hour later to say they didn’t open until 1. (We’d booked for 12:15). We Ordered 2 starters followed by a Sunday lunch. The soup was tomato & pepper - absolutely shocking. The amount of pepper was ridiculous and we couldn’t eat it. When we told the server no alternative was offered not a deduction off the final bill. The Sunday lunch was a little cold, and the veg overcooked. The venue lacked atmosphere - although we were the first in, so it may be netter when more people are present. Sadly we won’t be returning

Unfortunately I was disappointed in my dinner here (again). Service was excellent, cocktails and wine really good, the food just wasn’t great. The vegetables were seriously over cooked and the rest of the food just lacked flavour. The restaurant was cold and lacked atmosphere, it’s such a pity.

Made a booking in advance for a Friday night before Valentines, the only day I will have a chance to see my partner that week using a wowcher I had bought and through their website which they accepted then the day before they cancel leaving me no chance to get a booking anywhere decent no doubt so they can fit in another customer they prefer. Greedy customer last focus.
