The Red Berry Coffee Co in North Down

Been coming here for years before and after covid. Good quality food but over time the quantity has got worse, I ordered a standard fry and served on a nice big plate but won’t be back as other cafes offer much more food for you money.

Visited here a couple of times lately with my partner. Each time was great. Fast and friendly service, the staff are all great and the food was delicious. I had the Cluckin Gravy fries and she had the Full Fry and we were both really happy with the food. Coffee is good too

Just left the Red Berry in Bangor N Ireland Must say very disappointed food was mediocre waited 25 minutes for the food in which time the tea was cold. Toilets had no soap, no hand dryer and no paper towels. On way out bought a 99 cone for £2.90 and was then charged 40 pence for strawberry sauce which had little to no flavour. Won’t be back and would not recommend.

Food was delicious! Got the big breakfest fry and the chicken gravy fries. Food came out quickly, staff were very friendly, and everything was reasonably priced.

We were sitting upstairs for a late breakfast. Lots of options on the Manu but didn't really like the upstairs area . Downstairs is much better. Food was ok . Long queue to order . They were busy in the afternoon. Looks like a popular spot.

We come here quite often the best coffees in Bangor. Great food as well as atmosphere and staff. Roary makes the best coffees so ask for his expert barista touch

In a town that struggles with image this one place draws us down in the evening. Nice to have somewhere that allows folk to go out without need to go to a pub. Always busy which shows they are doing things right.

Views from both upstairs and downstairs are fantastic. We ate here for breakfast ... It was delicious, affordable and enjoyable. I would eat here again.

It used to be good for ice cream selection but not now. 2 flavours and very poor value for money. I'm voting with my feet. There are much better options in Bangor. Maud's, Capproni's or Nugelato.

Just a very quick visit for an impromptu brunch which I enjoyed very much.

I will advise everyone to stay away of that cafe! We had family day out and decided to get icecream The ginger girl was serving us today and was really rude, we ask for an oreo ice cream and 3 normal icecreams and she was annoyed that we even ever came. She nearly threw out icecream on us when we ask for another one. She was throwing everything behind a counter and when i kindly told her that there is no need to be rude she started shouting at us that there is only them two in the shop and i should feel sorry at her. So disappointed never will come to that cafe again!

We went for a coffee and a traybake here. Quick service and friendly staff.

I had a latte with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. It was fantastic, nicely done. They have a good selection of hot chocolate and dessert as well. The location is great. Would recommend the place.

So disappointed in the coffee I ordered (two cappuccinos) at £6.70 and in the attitude of the barista when I complained. Let me explain, I requested my coffee to be extra extra hot for me and when the first coffee was placed on the counter in front of me I was informed it was the hot one. When the second coffee arrived at the counter within 2 minutes me and my partner found seats upstairs beside a window. On sipping my coffee I discovered it was not hot at all but luke warm at best. My partner was happy with hers as she could not take her coffee very hot. I took my coffee downstairs to the counter and asked the barista if my coffee could be made hotter as it was not as I had requested (extra,extra hot). The basista informed me he had made my coffee himself and according to him he had taken the temperature of the coffee before giving it to me and in his opinion the coffee was hot as requested. I informed him that the cup was hot but the coffee was luke warm at best. I insisted the coffee was not hot and could he make it hotter for me. With no response on his part at first I reminded him I was the Customer. He took my coffee to the machine and it was frothed up and re-presented to me as a hot cappuccino. He asked me to check it was hot. I informed him the cup was indeed very hot and I then tasted the coffee which was indeed now hot. I asked him if the coffee was now ready to be taken away to which he replied it was. I took my coffee back upstairs to where my partner was. However I was not happy with the attitude of the barista nor the manner in which it was served and vowed never to visit the establishment again. I was of the understanding that when a complaint is made about the quality of the coffee, a fresh one is offered. What I got back was a cup three quarters full of refrothed coffee.

Its a pity it closed at 9pm..used to be open till 10pm

Popped in here randomly and pleasantly surprised to find a vegan/vegetarian breakfast menu! Delicious fry with no grease and lots of options. Quirky layout upstairs with like a cabana vibe and great view of the town which was perfect for our art club meet up. Very friendly staff, decent priced food and clean toilets. 5*!

Only in this place once service good but the place was freezing. The food was too expensive for what you got and to round it off I ended with a bad stomach and running to the toilet the rest of the day.

This was our first time in Red Berry. We were pleasantly surprised. Food is good and is very keenly priced. Would eat here again.

Lovely, friendly staff. I ordered a caramel square and it was lovely. The decor was really lovely and the atmosphere was nice.

Had late breakfast here recently. The food was great and cooked perfectly. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Nothing seemed too much trouble to them. It's been quite a while since I've been in and was pleasantly surprised.

We have ordered Peanutbutter banana bagels and after we’ve been served they told us we need to pay extra for bananas!!! What is this??!!

We decided to have lunch here, because the restaurant seemed to be really busy, always a good sign. My husband had avocado and bacon on sourdough bread, and I went for a burger with chicken, goujons and chips. Both were cooked really well, and the chips were crispy, served with a side relish. They seem to cater to many local people, and the upstairs seating area is very spacious.

Nice coffee shop with well trained barristas. Seating outside, downstairs and upstairs where you can get a better view of the marina. Good place to have a break while you explore the sea front.

Amazing wee coffeehouse, good selection of food and drinks, friendly staff and an easy to find location. A nice casual spot to go to if you're ever in Bangor. I personally for the fry and my partner got the loaded fries and both were lovely, and decent sized portions.

This local cafe offers affordable breakfast, lunch, and vegan options. Red Berry has 2 floors with ample seating, I'd recommend sitting upstairs for a great views of the street below. You order at the counter and food is delivered within 10 minutes. I ordered the Eggs on a Raft with baked beans & sausage, yummy. Clean, cozy, and delicious food!

My wife and I have noticed that prices have increased which , my wife and I are okay with however we have noted that the portions of things such as beans served with breakfast , the size of sausage rolls has gotten smaller as has the portion of side salad served with sausage roll notably the absence of coleslaw. It seems reasonable for customers to expect at least the same pre increase portions be served post increase. Or am I being unreasonable. Yours respectfully. This place has really gone downhill. Staff are teenagers who giggle between them and were coughing all round them. One girl even came to the till to take our order, then started laughing to her friends and coughing/choking on whatever she'd decided to eat and then ran away so someone else had to take our order. Wouldn't recommend.

Popped into The Red Berry this morning for breakfast and had a lovely scrambled egg and toast with of course a cuppa tea. Was pretty busy but the food was served quickly, service excellent with lovely staff. Pricing fair and loved my tea.

Waited at the icecream counter to be served. Rang the bell on counter 3 times (as it states to do). Still no service had to approach staff behind the food counter to serve me. Maybe bell not working & staff didnt see me??

I mainly go in here for milkshakes (10/10 would recommend by the way) but I’ve had their ice cream and other desserts and I’ve had a few meals here before which are ho early soo good and delicious, top tier scran!

Came here today, the food menu was good but the food itself was very low quality. The cleanliness of the cafe was horrible and it was so dirty, the place could really do with an update and a clean.

Called in for coffee nice spot recommend trying. Has some nice tray bakes, cakes and other food if looking something more substantial.

The Red Berry always seems busy and this is the first time I've visited. Staff were friendly, the view is good and so is the coffee. Breakfast was luke warm, plates were cold, poached eggs were hard. This place could be exceptional but provided a very below average breakfast and I won't be back.

This place is perfect by the sea. You can view across the road. Watch passers-by sit outside when the tables are out.The food is good, and the staff are friendly and helpful they have a good menu .

I used to love the food here but called in this morning for breakfast fry.i have to say it has gone down in quality. The egg was undercooked sausage and bacon overcooked and the soda bread soggy,definitely not worth the money either ,needless to say I will never be back.

We went there just to have a coffee and a treat. The girls were very nice with us. Special when they were just about to closing time.Thank you for your passion girls.

Called in for coffee and scones. The scones are great, crunchy and fluffy and the coffee was good too. With so many places now stating that they have a breakfast menu and a lunch menu it was refreshing to see burgers being served just after 11am. They have a comprehensive menu to suit everyone.

Tbh, if you live or come to Bangor, this is the place to come if you are hungry and need a warm welcome top notch 👌

We went here as its always very busy and we were nosey to see what was so great. I'm not a fan of ordering at the counter as I always feel rushed which I feel we were. Plus there was no queue so the girl could have given us a minute or two. I'm all for live and let live and piercings are lovely 😍 but the girl taking our order had her lips 💋 pierced and I'm sorry 😞 but it was very hard to understand what she was saying. I had to ask her if she could wipe the table as it was full of left over food but they weren't busy so 🤷 im lost as to why it wasn't done. The food was nice but no I will not be rushing back. As for the atmosphere there wasn't one and it was really cold in the place. Maybe they were having an off day we all do......

I had a latte that was cold and french toast but the French toast was soggy could eat it. I used to love coming here as the food was lovely. I will not be back as it's gone down hill!

The hot chocolate you get in a vending machine tastes more chocolate-y than what I was served today. Money thrown out the window.

25/02/23 stopped in for breakfast and coffee after my morning walk around marina. Price for the amount of food was good! Coffee was not the best but it was made with love as I got a heart shape decoration on it before I mixed in my sugar. Breakfast took a minute but my dish was good and I would stop in again to try other dishes. The place was clean and staff was pleasant. This helped to perk me up for the rest of day.

Things are tight for everybody , the prices are up and the portions are a lot smaller , I have been going for years . Think I will go somewhere else in future !

I had lunch with my family today at the redberry coffee house. I used to go alot before covid and the atmosphere and staff where always so friendly. But today was different. The staff were unpleasant and had next to no table manners. The guy was very unfriendly. Disappointed visit 😕

My very favourite local cafe, it has been a staple for me for over ten years. The comfortable and cosy interior and lively coffees always make it a go to for me when it comes to meeting friends after work. I don’t often get food but when I do, I have to say, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the menu they offer and all quite accessible. While prices are abit high for the portion sizes, the presentation and service are top notch. They are also one of the only cafes that stay open late, so many shut at 5 and people are only getting out of work then. So I love that it’s an option for evening hangouts.

Friendly staff and delicious food

This restaurant is very dirty , up stairs. Stairs were sticky , one small very dirty toilet , upstairs restaurant very untity, glass between stairs and upsairs restaurant very , very dirty.( it is such a shame because it could be lovely overlooking the harbour ) that said , we were sitting downstairs which was a lot cleaner. Food was lovely, latee was hot and very nice. They would just need to employ a cleaner for a really good deep clean, especially up stairs .
