Called in for a quick brunch to share. Ham and cheese ciabatta. Cut in two. Halves placed on large dinner plates. No garnish of small salad or chips. Was told I would have to pay for packet crisps if I wanted chips!!! coffee and 1 juice. £11 what a expensive lunch. Total embarrassment for a restaurant who had many visitors in that day from other countries coming in for lunch. Will never be back.

Have to say as a Social Enterprise I was amazed at how expensive the menu was at The Bobbin . My friend and I went for a snack around 11am . We decided to have a Cup of tea each and a sausage roll . When I went to pay the bill by card I queried the amount that was displayed on the machine . The amount was a unbelievable £15.80 that was £ 7.90 each for what I could say was a very small sausage roll and an ordinary cup of tea. I may add that the girl who served me was very courteous and explained that she not make the prices that it was her head office . I realised now why the place was empty . Should have went to Greggs .

What a find this was on our trip to Belfast! We stopped for a cuppa and a lovely cake during our visit to City Hall ( this was also so worth it…free entry, great exhibition of Belfast and its history). We returned for lunch and had a bowl of beef stew with bread and butter…. It was absolutely delicious. This is a social enterprise so please support it - food and service first class!

Saw the banner for The Bobbin on the City Hall railings & decided to visit. Walking to the cafe through City Hall certainly enhanced the experience but overall our visit was a little disappointing. The greeting was unfriendly & were treated as if we had been to The Bobbin before, which we hadn’t. Perhaps the lady was coming to the end of a long shift but it doesn’t cost anything to be friendly. The tea & coffee, plus cake - we were told in no uncertain terms we were too late for hot food - were fine but we came away disappointed by the experience. A very worthy enterprise deserves better.

Had a fantastic lunch in here following a walking tour of Belfast (Troubles tour: walls & bridges) the pot of tea hit the spot & hubby enjoyed his mocha. The coronation chicken sandwich was delicious, a generous size with crisps & salad garnish. Hubby had cheese & ham toasted sandwich, some lovely cakes on offer but we were full. The staff are lovely, it’s spotlessly clean and a really calm space to relax in the city.

In Belfast for the day following a family funeral, and whilst bimbling around spotted sign for a cafe within the City Hall. A hidden gem as others have said, in beautiful Victorian surroundings. Cafe is a Social Enterprise worth supporting, my irish Stew was delicious and perfect on a cold day, and proper pot of tea; oh oh, showing my age. Also discovered a fascinating exhibition on Belfast past to present, which I'll do properly when I have more time.

This little tea room is situated within Belfast City hall and unlike the vast majority of attraction catering outlets, is run by a social enterprise organisation rather than a large faceless catering company. It really shows. The place is spotless, tables cleared immediately, pleasant surroundings and perhaps best of all, staff who actually want to speak to their customers and help them out.The food was top quality and when we were there, we settled on a selection of sandwiches a smashing coffee and some really nice biscuits. The cakes were tempting but we were good and bypassed these.A range of other items were available and we bought some of their locally produced chocolate bars which have since been devoured and these too were excellent.Perhaps the main plus point for the Bobbin, is the fact that all their profits are used to provide opportunities for people with barriers to employment and learning and this does help to make your visit seem all the more enjoyable.A nice chat with some of the staff before we left made this a venue which more folks should know about - perhaps even using it rather than some of the bigger outlets in Belfast city centre. Certainly one I will be going back to when next in the City.

Located in a relatively remote corner of the City Hall building, it's not the easiest place for a visitor to find without a guide, but it's worth locating. This is a lovely place to stop for coffee and is on ground level for those with mobility problems. There is an interesting display on the Belfast Linen Industry with old photos of the "Millies" who worked there. I had a toasted sandwich and my friend had a home baked scone. The cafe is in the beautiful and historical surroundings of the City Hall and there are also good toilet facilities.

Very impressed on first visit to Bobbin restaurant in Belfast City Hall. They have managed to create an intimate casual space in very grand surroundings. Lovely menu with light bites or more substantial choices and lots of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and ensured a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I was also impressed with the display on the rise of Belfast which was very interesting and extensive. Also liked the frieze around the room which was a timeline charting the history of Belfast as well. All and all a very nice spot to relax and recharge.

I called here while at the Christmas a Market, it was after lunch time & the soup & stew were finished. I opted for a sausage roll which you choose wrapped already, then the waitress heated it up, was quite surprised at how tasty it actually was. A lovely pot of Suki tea & a tray bake made a lovely little lunch. Very clean with a nice atmosphere. Also took the opportunity to gave a look around the displays in several of the rooms. Well worth a visit.

This gem is located at the left hand side of Belfast City Hall. Once inside, it's spacious with plenty of tables. The serving area is long meaning you are not cramped by others queuing. Prices are reasonable and there is plenty of variety in teas (offer Suki!) and coffees as well as good, both prepared and grab & go. Also sells local produce and has an interesting exhibition. I really like that this venture is run by Social Enterprise- NOW Project. Give it a try and you'll be impressed!

Maybe it's better that so few people seem to know about this little lunch-time gem! We have eaten here at least three times and never yet been disappointed. And I'm sure is it just as good at times other than lunch. The location couldn't be more central for any city centre visit. And the surroundings of the City Hall are truly magnificent. The welcome is warm and the food first class. I have a gluten-free diet and have been very pleased to discover that this presents no difficulty. It seems that tourists are the most likely folk to eat here but the locals are really missing out if they think City Hall is just for bureaucracy; it isn't - it's also for good food!
