Lovely spot with a view over the Lagan. I went on a Friday evening. Table service was v slow and the music in a confined space is far too loud. However, there are places to move to including a covered heated area outdoors. Excellent for people trying to avoid crowded spaces. Highly recommend it. Xxd

Had the steak ciabatta, however very little steak in the sandwich. The bald headed short guy was also very rude and made us feel that everything was a chore to him. Didn't create a pleasant atmosphere. We spent a lot of money for a huge disappointment. We won't be back and we will be telling our friends not to go anymore.

We both had soup to start but I had the salt & chilli chicken starter as a main. It tasted almost fishy and had a really chewy texture. I thought I was just tired so boxed the rest to go home. Before I managed to get there I was violently sick in the bathroom at the nearby spar. I had inquired with staff what they’d used to coat the chicken with wondering if it was something that had been used to coat fish with. I was advised that the chicken was the Diggers brand. It would explain the fishy chewy qualities as it’s cheap imported chicken from China. It retails in the supermarkets for around £3.50 a bag. I like to support local businesses that use local produce. £9 for a plate of cheap processed meat from China is not value for money, I know hospitality is a difficult game but not that long ago the same dish here was delicious. For around the same price you can freshly made salt & chilli chicken, at a nearby hotel. They pride themselves on supporting local suppliers. I don’t think I’ll return here.

Very nice setting overlooking the Lagan. Didn't have any food, just a glass of pinot grigio and my husband had a pint of Guinness.......no complaints about our drinks but the most expensive bar I've been in recently! London prices in Belfast is crazy. Good service and staff. Would go back for one again but not to stay as just too expensive unfortunately.

We went to Cutters Wharf after attending the Lyric theatre nearby. It was a lovely day which is very usual for Belfast and we sat outside to enjoy the weather. It wasn’t a busy evening so it was perfect for what we needed. The decor is lovely and location is very handy however, the service is terrible. I have been to Cutters Wharf for various occasions for many years and recently have seen an unfortunate change. The service from staff was very blunt and unhelpful, we arrived at 5pm and were told there was no food allowed outside and then told to carry our own drinks which was more for one person to carry. We then seen other customers with cocktails and fancied some ourselves again upon entering the bar and asking for espresso martinis we were told no were serving them and were not offered another option. I was later told that this was due to the managers request which I don’t think benefits the bar at all especially on the weekends. Outside of location and decor that’s all it has going for it as everything else is diabolical.

We arrived last night about 7 o’clock for dinner. It’s been a while since I’ve been but good food before. Last night was awful to say the least. Food was grand, lovely to sit outside and good music but the service….awful. By far the worst service I have had. Drinks and food were practically thrown down, dirty glass which we asked to be replaced. We had to ask for the table to be cleaned after our meals and before dessert - it was obviously needing cleaned. Then my coffee arrived with most of it on the saucer . We went up the bar to pay our bill and was asked how it was. We explained the food was fine but the service was awful. He wasn’t too pleased and took our payment and walked off. No acknowledgment, apology or would pass on our comments. £52 - won’t be back. So many other eateries are opening up in Belfast and the Cutters Wharf need to train their staff and up to their standards.

My husband and I decided to call in for a quick drink after a walk on the tow path with our little dog. When we entered the outside terrace we were quite surprised how empty it was considering it was 4pm on a dry Saturday afternoon in July. I remember a time this place used to be packed! We hadn’t even taken our seats when an older man, possibly management, was straight out to tell us that dogs weren’t allowed on the terrace. I wonder is this why your terrace was near empty?? In a time when hospitality is struggling how on earth can you afford to turn away customers? I understand that maybe not everyone likes dogs, but you certainly have enough space to segregate an area as dog friendly. Have you had a look at other bars and coffee shops that are dog friendly? They are making a killing. Also as we were leaving with our tail between our legs, the same man was telling someone who was eating a meal on the terrace (obviously purchased from Cutters) that there was no food on the terrace? Unbelievable!! You seems to be on a self destruct mission going my your recent reviews. I most certainly won’t be back.

Eternally awful food, certainly the food served in the bar is. Dead as dead can be now, and deservedly so. This is potentially the only riverside pub in Belfast with decent facilities and parking. It should be rammed, serving good food, and with good service. It simply doesn't do any of those. Could be a great gastropub harking back to the time of the wharf/wharfs.

I'm glad they're here - the location is fantastic on a summer's day next to the river. However, this is absolutely not everyone's cup of tea, and always feels rather flashy and not particularly genuine in what it offers. Cutters could also do with a better selection of beers, particularly on draft. They also denied my young child access once as she had a football shirt on (English team, not that it should matter) so we had to go elsewhere. Usually they are family friendly and the food is decent enough for that purpose. Post covid there are a lot of different sections, though again it's probably best in the summer as much of the benefits are outdoor.

Arrived for lunch recently on bikes with restaurant virtually empty. Cycled from other side of town with overseas visitor keen to show them good old Belfast hospitality and give this bar some custom especially seeing a lot of hospitality is still suffering so much after covid restrictions and given where this bar is situated well out of the city centre. Well my bad was literally ejected from the premises as no bikes allowed nor accommodated which is unbelievable esp given the place is advertised as a ‘rest stop’ being beside a main city centre connecting cycle path!!! Whoever this staff member was (he came across as management) was a complete and utter disgrace to the hospitality industry as apart from enforcing this crazy pc rule their manner was was both highly superior and ignorant. Was left completely embarrassed especially with overseas visitor. Some people have a short memory after covid restrictions but you know the type this guy would have had you queuing down the st 2m apart with mask and once you were privileged enuf to be granted entrance took great pleasure in repeatedly instructing you to sit down and wear a mask while trying to drink your beer while bikes not allowed due to covid virus being a keen cyclist. Thank you cutters for the lovely experience hope it was worth it 👍.

AVOID THIS PLACE! A friend an i were taking a popular cycle route from newtownabbey, trough belfast. Cutter's is a potential stop off point on the cycle route. But rather than embracing the frequent cyclist that pass by, we were conveniently "frog marched" off the premises by the manager, along with an elderly gentleman with a dog. Obviously the bar wants to keep an mage for the upper class "Rowers" and Rugby players WAGS! wont be back!

Food was substandard to say the least and disgracefully overpriced given the lack of quality. I've had better 6oz burgers from a chipper. Nor did the dish ordered fit the menu description - a fact I realised only afterwards (there were no 'pink pickled onions' with the burger, the side salad was inedible and was returned as the lettuce was wilted turning to mush🤮). The service, like the food, was sloppy - my daughter's ice cream arrived almost entirely melted and the alleged fresh cream quite obviously came from a canister - they really tried to insist it was fresh - which was laughable. Extremely disappointing experience. I've been dining here for the past 7 years on and off. We came on a Saturday at the end of last January and it was excellent. But after this most recent and most unpleasant experience I can avowedly say, I will never be back.

Having been here multiple times, it’s safe to say that when it gets busy the staff cannot cope. We managed to get the only available booth, we then proceeded to order drinks, only to be told there was no Aperol left for a spritz, not a great start but some things can’t be helped. After looking at the menu for about 10 minutes we ordered 2 x dirty fries and 1 x portion of onion rings @ 19:36, we waited and after several failed attempts to get the attention of the staff my partner managed to a staff members attention. After informing them that we had waited 45 minutes for food (actually 55 by this point) the assumed supervisor went into the kitchen and swiftly returned telling us that she was sorry to inform us that our order had not been put through to the kitchen. A bit of a nightmare, but to be fair to the staff member, she offered complimentary drinks if we wanted to wait, but having waited the guts of an hour with one drink each and no staff checking in we declined. The staff did there best to limit the damage done but I think it’s poor service all around they were not busy with food in the 70 minutes we were in there we saw 5 plates leave the kitchen. And having worked in the industry for 15 years I could not imagine any scenario where a table not drinking and not eating could sit for 50+ minutes without a staff member coming over once. Very poor show!

Last Sunday went to the fabulous Cutters Wharf for Sunday lunch. An absolute treat at the end of a hard week. New Chef, Shane excelled himself. We had the roast beef option and it was totally LUSH! The meat just fell apart, so tender and flavoursome. The gravy added another level to the dish as well. Incredibly well put together. The new chef and his team didn't put a foot wrong. For dessert, we opted for the sticky toffee pudding! We thoroughly recommend to readers! Although my advice (for what it's worth) is get rid of the pop corn with the pudding. I can't see what value it adds. It's perfect enough as it is! If you are ruminating about going to the Cutters, then desist and get down to venue ASAP! :) Said & Alan

When he walked back out with my drink within a second later a member of staff walked up to us who I'm assuming is their manager (blonde hair) rudely asked us to leave the seating area as apparently there was a party (could only see a table of 5 people sitting down) I found it quite strange that we were asked that within seconds of complaining about my drink and there were no signs that the area was closed off. Stayed for work for 4 days, bed was very comfortable and had a great nights sleep, my favourite part about the room was the walk in waterfall shower with a shower seat, I’ve not stopped thinking about how brilliant it was, I’ve searched everywhere for a shower as nice as that one and am yet to find one. I’d come back to Belfast just to stay here and experience the shower again. Unreal

Had a great breakfast here. Ulster fry and a sausage egg bap. The service is friendly and efficient. Great pot of tea for 2. Cost £18 so great value too.

Not being a big Abba fan I was not expecting to be fully entertained by this show but went along because some friends wanted to go. Firstly, the food was excellent and justified the price of the ticket on its own. The singers were really good and kept us laughing and singing along the whole time. High drinks prices inflated the final bill somewhat but it was on balance a great experience and one I'd repeat if I'm ever in bonny Belfast again.
