The best restaurants serving British food in Lisburn South Eastern NI

I can’t thank the manager and staff in Hedley’s, enough. About two weeks ago my sister and I called into the restaurant. She was not feeling well, and the manager and in particular, a very kind and caring Lithuanian waitress, did everything possible to make her comfortable. Such kindness and care. They were amazing. My sister recovered quickly- and it was due to the care of the staff. Thank you again.

When we arrived we were asked if we had booked but as we hadn't we were given a table in the kids corner.(We were a group of 4 adults , 13 and a 10 year old) The waitress taking the drinks order did not wait for everyone on to order had to order again when she brought the kids drink. The cutlery had to be changed at one setting as it dirty with dry food on it. I had roast beef which was tender but the vegetables were boiled beyond the point of no return. I certainly won't be back.

Used to go some years back when the place was under the previous owner. The food was then average, but the owner a bit curmudgeonly. The new owners have made the place more friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent and the service good. Staff friendly. Perhaps a bit on the expensive side, but not easy to run a restaurant these days. Plenty of people coming and going which is always a good sign.

Really couldn't fault it, a warm welcome, great food and a roaring fire .... perfect.

We had a selection of food between us, rotisserie chicken, Chipotle wings, Buffalo chicken burgers and fries, and all of it was cooked to order and lovely, it wasn't our first visit but we always go when we're in Belfast and it's highly recommended The only slight criticism is that the beer selection is lacking (upstairs in the restaurant) and if you're a first time visitor Yardbird isn't the easiest place to find in the Dirty Onion complex for a first time visitor, but they are minor criticisms and don't detract from the food at all.

I have used this chip shop for many years and have no hesitation in recommending it for a takeaway. I would also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to one of the members of staff called Yasmin for finding my wallet and made sure it was safe until I got it.

We went in for a Sunday breakfast, no reservation but was seated with no issue . The hostess was on the sour side and it took an age to take our order. I can only eat small amounts so I asked for a half portion or a child portion of porridge which she initially refused as I was an adult ! I should not have to give my medical history to get some simpatetic hosting from a waitress ! Either way food was delish - a bit pricey for a breakfast . Beautiful decor and beautiful surroundings, that is what the height score is for The one star loss is due to hostess skills :(

Good food, good portion and a reasonable price. I got a fish supper and the wife got the salted chilli chicken. I found the shop a bit cold due to the ventilation (on a cold January day) but staff were friendly and the shop was clean. Would try again.
