Awful meal and expensive. Staff just okay . Coffee cold . No organisation of how to order and get a table . Staff abrupt and we were rushed out for deep cleaning

Vastly over priced when you have to stand in a ten minute queue like school dinners. Then to be charged £32 for two plates of lukewarm food. No wonder it was quiet during lunch. Won’t be back and have been going for the last few years. Staff always pleasant but not what it was.

Recently organised a hen party lunch hosted at cafe vic-ryn. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was delicious. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Also, I was particularly impressed by the service, as earlier in the day I had dropped the cake damaging the side. The staff went out of their way to make fresh buttercream so that I could rectify the damage. I was very thankful for their help!

Food was nice , good clean restaurant!

Met a friend for coffee and enjoyed a white chocolate and raspberry scone it was delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It has plenty of parking too.

Very good range of traditional food from breakfast to lunch and brunch options. Great staff with a polite and helpful approach. We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Best scones can be found here along with some amazing desserts. Highly recommended as very good for all ages.

Called in here for dinner for my husband 's birthday.food always good. One of my favourite places.

Food is always excellent. I had two perfect poached eggs and my husband had a huge cherry scone. All the staff are just lovely.

Simply the best scones about. 👍🏻 Whether you like a sweet or savoury scone Vic-Ryn has it covered. Personally I love their cheese & bacon scone and have not found one to better it on any of our travels.

Lovely place to be in. Housed within, also is a conference/events centre, also Faith Mission Bookshop, and furniture sales. Its downsized a bit, compared to what is used to be, but still great. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Had a bible seminar and had our breakfast here too .

Visited yesterday with my cousin, my first time in ten years, I regularly came before, first time for cousin. Parking situation probably helps make this place popular as it's free and plentiful, although few spaces left in our visit. We ordered a slice of pie each and two sides, two cans of San Pellegrino orange. I was shocked the card reader showed £31+, my cousin paid cash as I carried food to table. I thought £31 was extortionate. She was actually charged £37+! I looked at receipt and despite giving our table number several times she'd been charged for the table behind. On complaint at till the man behind said he wondered why his bill was so cheap, he was a table if four. The staff member gave her £3 for tip jar and said there you go! That still wasn't correct so I complained, being a man might have helped them take it more seriously. The manager came to our table we had a chat and he said it should have been £31ish. He gave us the difference plus a chocolate fudge cake which we swapped to apple tart. This was a lovely gesture. Tart was the most expensive I've seen £8! Even fancy bakeries don't charge this much. By comparison I had lunch then day before in the old Fulton's at Harvey Norman's, think Synge n Byrne run it, very slow but was £21 for effectively same meals. I'd sooner go to a proper bar or restaurant for lunch next time with table service, hot food and lower prices.

Cafe Vic Ryn never disappoints. The food is top quality and fresh. We went with our parents for lunch. A lot of older people frequent the cafe as the seats are comfortable and the service is great. They really look after you. The food is amazing.

The restaurant provides lovely food and is very popular, but the prices are high. Ordering a main course is fine but adding a price for every choice of salad is a bit much and gives the final meal an unreasonably high price. For coffee and scones though it's pretty much in the ballpark!

Had breakfast this morning, busy at that time but it wasn't a problem for the staff, got us a lovely little spot and hadn't long to wait for our food 😀

I had the French toast with bacon and maple syrup. It was lovely, but very pricey. The tea with free top-ups was good value though! I didn't like that you had to queue for so long to order the food, surely it would be more efficient and customer friendly to have table service?!

Spacious cafe with a modern stylish diner table plan layout. Chose a meal from menu or queue at the hot food counter, this latter option sadly often leads to a lukewarm offering! Nice relaxed atmosphere, family friendly, very clean toilets and ample carparking.

Lovely place, actually had a muffin that tasted stale, I informed the staff who apologised and attempted to rectify it, I honestly didn't mind I just wanted to let them know, they where great. The rest of the food and drinks where very tasty.

Variety of food plenty, but as usual it is so lukewarm!!!!! It's such a pity because their food and desserts are lovely and staff are so helpful. They need to get this right. I hate a lukewarm meal. Prices are v high too!!

The food was well presented and looked delicious. However it was cold as was the gravy that came separate with it. After having it heated the turkey was moist .the ham was scarce to say the least.overall good enough but not amazing like it used to be and somewhat more expensive. Don't know that I'd return.

Very disappointing visit. On placing order was told it was unavailable, second choice was unavailable and third choice unbelievably was also unavailable. Reluctantly ordered something else but was disappointed. It was Caesar salad, which had very little salad and what could have been 2 full chicken breasts, way too much and not enjoyable. My husbands meal was lasagne which was dry and unappealing. Both dishes where left half uneaten. We paid £31 for a very expensive disappointing Saturday afternoon. Staff were pleasant but based on this experience a return visit will be unlikely.

Great selection of cakes and buns. Coffee and hot chocolate tasted great. Slightly more expensive than normal coffee shops but was worth it. Coconut and lime cake was superb and a, large portion

My wife had the Lasagne which was dried out, lacked any flavour and no bechamel sauce. I had the chicken stack which was dry and the bacon on top could not be cut using a knife and fork. From time ordered until food received took 15 minutes and I noticed that the food was being reheated in a microwave. Very disappointing for the price charged. Also coffee only luke warm.

My daughter brought us for lunch as she has been here many times before. It was so clean, spacious and the food was delicious

I just wanted to comment on how very helpful the staff were here . My aunt and I visited and she is recovering after a hospital admission . She became tired and a little short of breath when we were leaving . We got so much help with a lovely young gentleman staff member who couldn’t have done more for her . All of the staff and the lady who served us were excellent . Thank you Vic-Ryn for your exceptional customer service your staff are an absolute credit to you .

Used to visit regularly before Covid, came back today, was supposed to go somewhere else but another family member joined us and I thought she’d have more choice here, I was wrong!!! The portion sizes and menu options have shrunk by at least 50% but the prices have raised! My decaf coffee may as well have just been a cup of hot milk. Lots of seating available but everyone was escorted to a higher level where stairs are, I noticed several elderly people struggle with these stairs - including a man on a mobility walker 😵 I’m not elderly but have arthritis and I struggled with the stairs, at no point was anyone asked if they were ok or if they wanted to sit elsewhere. Overall we could’ve got a much nicer breakfast, and been full after, somewhere else, for a fraction of price - not somewhere I’d be keen to return to 😵

Called here today for something for my grandson, my wife got stack potato bread my grandson got potato and leek soup, I asked for a small fry but instead of soda and beans, can I have 2 rounds of white bread, when I got it there was soda bread and beans the young lad apologized and got me the toast, my grandson said his soup did not taste right I tasted it and it was discussing so I ended up giving my grandson my toast by this time the rest of the fry and coffee was cold. This cost £34.00 and was definitely not worth the money, I would never recommend this place to anyone there didn't seem to be anyone about that I could have complained to.

Good coffee, if a little small 6 years ago but since has had a super redevelopment. Some very tasty courses on offer in a comfortable setting.

This message is to all of the very clever, friendly and talented cafe vic-ryn team. We’ve had family staying over and the first gathering I purchased your super sized pink pavlova, the second gathering I purchased your large chocolate cake. Firstly thank you for helping me out at such short notice on both occasions. Your on-line ordering and collection worked a treat. Secondly this saved me so much work, not having to chase round for ingredients then having to spend ages in the kitchen and let’s face it, I couldn’t make anything to match your high standards. Lastly, both items were totally delicious and well received. When picking up the chocolate cake we called in for scone/coffee and staff were so friendly with one gentleman going out of his way to go upstairs to lift our cake & keep it behind the counter until we were ready leave. Thank you so very much for helping me out with the best ever desserts and allowing me to spend more time with family.

Late decision to eat out, lovely restaurant and no queue, good food and excellent service. Still good food, plenty of tables.

Had brunch food- fry and French toast. Food was nicely presented. Staff were friendly. Got served in good time. It is clean. Plenty of choices on the menu. Food was tasty and warm. Best to go early as they are so popular at lunch. Wish they opened on a Monday

Called in for the first time in quite a while for breakfast with my two young sons. I remembered why when I got the bill, £46!! Ridiculously over priced for average food, even had to send the scrambled eggs back for being undercooked. The only good point was the very friendly lady who greeted us and took us to our table. 80% of the clientele were OAP’s, I can see why.

I Order the chicken and ham pie definitely have tasted much better my son's filled wrap and chips weren't great either the chips needed cooked more they were so pale and had no crispness about them. The dessert was amazing if I returned it would definitely only be for dessert. I give a 3 star review as the dessert was so nice.

Absolutely insane prices for a cafe. £13 for loaded fries? What planet are they on? I've been coming here for years but the prices are insane now. £12 for a fry? Wise up.

We arrived around 3.15pm but kitchen closed at 3pm so tea/coffee and selection of pastries/desserts available. They were delish so we need to go back for food lol. It's at back.of furniture store but persevere and go through and it's worth it. Staff were very good. Worth visiting.

Clean, tasty food and great atmosphere

Lovely pleasant staff but not the place for a quick lunch. Prices have also risen. Can't compete with Table Table in Lisburn who offer two main courses for less than a tenner.

Went for breakfast this morning and was greeted and very well looked after by a blonde Polish girl. Sorry I didn't get her name, but she was so polite and friendly without being patronising. I have been here several times before, but she made this morning special. We'll be back more often.

Were looking forward to visiting Vic-ryn but, sad to say, not impressed. £6.60 for an indifferent/small piece of lemon Victoria sponge - now that is a total rip off. Definitely not worth the 10 mile drive.

Can't believe how slow the service is. From queueing at the door to be allocated a table to queueing at the counter to order our food took 20 mins and then a further 15 mins until our food arrived , which was delicious. Please please bring back the non queueing system !!!

Shockingly overpriced. £9 for potato bread and an egg! The church is making money hand over fist here. Very Christian

Today was a disappointment compared to our previous visits. Don't mind paying that little bit extra for quality but my meal today was anything but quality. Chips put into a bowl, curry poured over the chips and heated up in the microwave. Not good.

Attended a lunch gathering today here, and i must say Staff are a welcoming attentive bunch, well done! When assigned a table, you can take the menu and join the quewe to order, the menu is adaptable enough as I ordered the Goujon Chicken panini with a garnish of salad and slaw, my partner tried the chick n ham pie, with Chips and slaw, now, upon seeing the served dish, i had realised both these had amounted to £24. Then refreshments are 2.50 for bottomless tea, and the iced tap water is free. For what you get compared to monies paid, isn't great value. I think The over priced coffee shop, on the back of an overpriced furniture store is aimed at the elderly, whom have settled into the lifestyle, and have the expenditure to spare.

I went in today and bought a takeaway,two slices of cake, It cost with my discount £10.80 a total disgrace, no cake slices in the world would be this expensive ….never again, how can they justify their extortionate prices…

Enjoyable visit on this occasion to this well presented, bright large Cafe. Extensive and generous menu. Your welcomed and directed to a numbered table, choose your food and go up to the counter to order. Very popular venue and a regular for so many locals. Staffing levels coping well with level of busyness making visit very pleasant.

I do like Vic Ryn, was there today with 3 friends, only real complaint I have is the waiting time to order especially as we were only ordering coffee's, I had a 1/2 wait in the queue. Would be better if you could order at the table or a separate queue for drinks only. Food for thought.

We had heard about cafe vic-ryn and their excellent food so as soon as it reopened we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed the quality of the food and the service was second to none. We had the special of the day which was seafood chowder. It was excellent, plenty of fish and deliciously creamy and the free top ups of coffee were especially welcome. We intend to visit again and try another dish on their extensive menu.Compliments to the chef and the staff.

Terrible my parents went for lunch June 2021 & it was just totally unacceptable they won't be back & different friends have said the same when they shared their experiences.

A well established family buisness which has been satisfying our taste buds over many years. A large and very varied menu that will satisfy most appetites. Very airy large dining area, very friendly and accommodating staff.

Good service and food was lovely

Food is precooked then microwaved which ruins it. Average and pricey, service was slow, wont be rushing back any time soon.
