Great roast dinners! Warm and friendly.

Visited today (Sunday) for lunch at 2.30, orders taken at 2.45 it took over 35 mins for one starter and a kids meal. The server said the kitchen was busy but there was 5/6 free tables free around us. There was another 25 min wait on 2 mains which when arrived the potatoes and veg were cold, they were taken away and returned to us in 2/3 mins roasting so I would guess it was just put into the microwave and another reason I think that is the roast potato was crispy before lifted then soft when brought back. Carrots were also raw, I like a bite to my veg but the carrots were raw. Food was under seasoned if seasoned at all. I have visited here 3 times before on a Sunday and loved it but really can't see myself going back

Great food at very good price. Bar tender was excellent, no margarita on drinks menu but made 1 for my wife.

I normally visit for Sunday lunch, on those occasions it's give stars across the board, but my recent experience was on a Friday night. Place was reasonably busy, table booked for early evening, got there early and shown to my table, ordered drinks and food. When ordering the server talked over my kid when ordering his food and didn't take down his specific dietary requirements.... Starters arrived quickly and were fantastic, went to order more drinks and was met by an unnecessarily cheeky younger waitress who got very pedantic about a water jug or water bottle when we asked for more of what we already had. On reflection it was just cheeky and rude and somewhat soured the night. Sadly food took about an hour to arrive after starters and sadly my sons food was incorrect, the talking over him had ignored the 'no mayo' request he was trying to convey. When asked if everything was OK I asked for it to be fixed and they did, but got a distinct displeasure from the original server who had not listened. Otherwise, food was good but when spending £130 for pub grub you don't really expect the long wait and rude staff. We'll probably go to the other pub in the village now and only visit pm's on a Sunday in quiet times.

Lovely food and Service was great but it was so noisy you couldn't hear your companion talking, glad to leave once we had finished our food 😨

Fantastic place to eat and hang out. Had a late lunch after a long walk. Greeted with a smile and lots of help. Ordered the Salt and chilli chicken wrap with fries and a pint. The food was delivered quickly and was delicious. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Would recommend this to anyone. Also very reasonably priced.

Had dinner here last night for our anniversary Whilst no complaints about food waitress service was poor Not once were we asked if everything was ok - even when our empty plates were collected We sat for over 15 mins after finishing our food to try and get the attention of a waitress to order cocktails Eventually I had to go up to the bar to order these Given we spent over £100 this was not the service one would expect

Recently went here for a treat and, as always, had a lovely meal with great friendly service. I chatted with Ian on arrival and always feel welcome. The staff and service are 1st class. Nothing is too much bother. I had the steak which was cooked to perfection. I have also had the Sunday roast lunch which l love. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pretty Mary's as a great place for a lovely meal. I will be back!

Family of 7 went for a meal on Saturday night, very limited menu. Four people asked for the fillet medallions, had to tell the waitress what way we wanted them cooked then she had to go and ask the chef was this ok. Every time we ordered a drink it was just slapped down on the table, guests just looked at each other, wondering what was that all about. Took about 20mins to get a desert menu after the mains. Asked for the bill and we all agreed to leave a tip but someone checked the bill and there was a service charge on it, very cheeky doing that we thought, so they got nothing. (£34 service charge) what food there was on the menu was very good but as I said very limited.

Door staff have changed. Not for the better. Doors closed early on Saturdays. No explanation and wouldn't let queueing regulars in when other patrons left.

Dog friendly, nice atmosphere enjoyed the light meal we had and the service was good with friendly staff.

Cosy bar and reasonably priced, food was ok, Guinness drinkable but but below standards of a lot of places.

First visit to Pretty Marys a few weeks ago. Really tasty food. Service could have been better but the food definitely made up for it. Looking forward to eating here again soon.

8 of us in for a meal. Very slow service for drinks. When the food eventually arrived it was overcooked and not warm. We all reluctantly ate what we could because we were hungry but the food that was left said it all. To crown it all they had the audacity to put on a service charge. Needless to say none of us will be back.

Lovely atmosphere enhanced by the superb coal fire. Great service, good attention to our needs without being a pain. Lovely food, ticked the boxes for flavour and quantity, looking forward to our next visit.

Went here midweek for a family birthday, had a few deals on, all of which were great value. Food and atmosphere both excellent with attentive staff. Will definitely recommend

Called in with friends and we all had lovely meals, but got to say the sausage and mash is the best we have ever had. Very friendly staff. Wish I lived nearby.

Arrived here on Friday evening, all 10 booked in. I ordered the wide open prawn sandwich which arrived down. I never seen a more miserable lonely looking Sandwich. 2 pieces of small cut wheaten bread, half a dozen prawns on each slice, spoonful of cheese, spoon full of Coleslaw, 1 marble sized tomato and a handful of salad which had 3 thin slices of peppers in it. All for the amazing price of £15. Most diffinately not value for money. Then the music came on as we where still eating our food. It was so loud we couldn't talk to each other, we then moved outside to escape the loudness and finish our drinks and promptly left. A tip, please make the portions bigger, and do not put on music until people have finished their meals.

Despite being really busy the staff still fitted our party of six in outside without a reservation. All the food was really good and arrived quickly. Several of us had the sausages and the vegan options were good too.

Pretty Mary's has been local for the last 4 years having moved to the area, staff are lovely and very accomodating to our needs with a now 2 year old who loves to explore and chat with anyone who pays them attention, food is lovely on some occasions there has been a bit of a delay on it coming out but only of bar/restaurant is busy which is to be expected and understandable. Garden area is lovely since refurb taken park away, nice in summer weather. Will continue to visit!!!

I ordered from their mother's day menu and it was absolutely delicious 😋 I got the roasted cod, my dad got the roast beef and my mum got the turkey and ham. Also we had to get some of the chocolate fudge cake for afters...

Such a great deal for steak and all the trimmings! The steaks were cooked perfectly. Everything was still warm when plated at home. Packaging was minimal and service was efficient and contactless at the door! Would highly recommend! Well done PM's staff!!

Had a great meal from Joe and the team Saturday night. Garlic prawns as a starter (there were plenty of prawns!) and then roast duck as a mains. This was a great meal served hot and on time for collection. Great local food and service.

Had another really lovely takeaway meal for the 3 of us tonight with a wee bit of liquid refreshment thrown in. Just incase we forgot what Guinness tasted like. Midway through the current lockdown< I heard good reports of Pretty Mary's takeaway meals. This Saturday evening, I was not disappointed. The chicken stack was really good and very filling. The big chicken goujons were sat on a bed of champ with tobacco onion rings & pepper sauce gravy - delicious! And for £10, it's pretty (Mary's) good value.

Called in with the family for Sunday Dinner, The best Turkey and Ham dinner I’ve had in a while, the Apple crumble was also good, well pleased with the grub. We got overcharged by £11 but I think it was a genuine mistake, we got charged individual prices instead of the “2 course for £16” ect, but this was quickly rectified.Was slightly surprised that only one of about 5 or 6 staff had a mask/ visor on in the busy restaurant, plenty of hand sanitizers and contact tracing details taken, folk just drinking were kept separate from the restaurant bar area, staff were helpful and friendly, I’d definitely recommend.

We waited to be seated at the door to the restaurant and we were then taken through a busy bar area by a young man with no mask or visor (none of the staff have). The waitresses were pleasant and quick to attend us and our starters arrived quickly enough however we then had to wait over an hour after our starters with no reason for the delay. When I asked our waitress what the delay was she went to get her manager (a young man who was out of his depth), he told us that the delay was due to the busyness of the restaurant but we pointed out that two lots of diners had come in after us and had been served and finished their meals. He then said he would go to find out the reason and get back to us, after another twenty minutes when he hadn't came back to us and we still hadn't received our food I asked our waitress to get this 'manager' for us again. He eventually came over to us and said that the kitchen staff had misplaced our order but they had found it again and the food would be with us shortly. No apology from him so I asked to speak to someone senior to him and he said he would speak to his manager. Once again he disappeared off and didn't get back to us. When the waitress brought our food she was very apologetic even though it wasn't her fault.The food was OK, not the best we have had but not the worst either, the waitresses were very good. We realise that mistakes do happen in the kitchen however the poor rating which we have given is purely down to the fact that the young 'manager' was ineffective, uncaring and not willing to deal with our complaint.We won't be back.

On entry to the establishment we were taken upstairs to a separate area to wait on our table. The waiter who took our drinks order was very abrupt and borderline rude. Not a great first impression. When we got to the table. Through a packed bar. No sign of social distancing measures . The staff were not wearing face masks. The whole eating experience was very disjointed. The time between ordering and the food arriving was long. The cutlery always seemed to be a few minutes behind the food. In these pandemic times it was very uncomfortable with the number of people in the bar. Table service was out the window. On the plus side the food was good when it arrived and the beer was nice.

Seemingly all pubs should be closed. This establishment still open to public and having events on as normal.

We called in on way back from Belfast rang ahead to see if we could be accommodated. Got booked in for 4pm which was great. We got seated got our drinks order and menus. We sat until 4:30 then decided to go and ask waitress could she take our order. One of are kids didn’t like much on the kids menu so we asked could we get have sausage to which they only had pork and leek. Then asked about cod bites that would normally be in the menu during the week. Which was fine . Then the waitress then came back and said there wasn’t any but offered to cut bits of a fish and serve this instead. Which was fine. So after waiting another while now. 5:10 the food arrived and our daughter was served a full fish. I thought that was good but no chance she would eat it all. Rest of the food was pretty good. We then got the kids desert which we waited another 15 mins. When went to square up the bill I’d forgot my glasses so couldn’t read the details of the bill but thought it was a little expensive. Turns out for one of the kids meals we were charged for an open meal of £10. I should also mention where we where sitting it was fairly cold so much we sat in our coats. And a family beside us asked to be moved because of the heat. To which they then turned the heat on. Think we prob just got abit unlucky with the position we sat and poor service. Wouldn’t be put off going again but will be checking the bill the next time.

Really buzzing atmosphere, good food options and a decent selection of beers and wine. Visited on a Saturday afternoon when there was Rugby on the TV and the place was packed. Friendly staff and well worth popping in to for a pint or two

A big thank you for a really lovely night. Our works party of 17 visited last night for our annual Christmas Party. Wanted some veggie food - overdone the meat over last few days, so feta fritters followed by veggie Thai Curry was perfect. the Thai curry especially was great

Popped in for an evening meal without booking and they managed to fit us in. The restaurant was busy as there was a bring your steak and the chef will cook it to your liking. This seemed very popular. We had catch of the day but also scampi and a burger. The food was tasty and filling. The staff were accommodating and friendly, worth their weight in gold.

Reasonable place, nothing to write home about, food is usually pretty good, service is fine, not always a great atmosphere, could do with some background music.

Hubby and I called into Pretty Mary's on our way to catch the Liverpool Ferry. Like other reviewers we found the place quite dated and, because Royal Ascot was on, there was some serious betting going on. Don't let that put you off, because we both had one of the tastiest meals, well cooked food and with good service and reasonably priced.We'd definitely return again if we were passing. We both visited the toilets on our way out and, again, they were both spotlessly clean.

called in for lunch with my wife and her mother. the place was very dated inside but clean. we ordered burgers,my wife ordered scampi the burgers were ok,the scampi overdone typical pub grub. service was good and not long to wait

Now the food we had was amazing, very filling and tasty but the place had the feeling of people there to drink their life away or gamble their life away as the lady on the next table with all her betting cards for horses. Shame as the food was so good.

Been here many times - always a buzz of excitement - always "you've just got the last table". Excellent menu at good prices and I've never had a bad bite yet. Waiters and waitresses couldn't be more attentive. All in all, my wife and I will be back soon.

When you're wanting wings and good beer. Come to pretty Mary's. Long standing bar. It was here the last time we visited 6 years ago. The town of Moira has become a lot crowded since then. Great selection of beer. They also have rotating craft beer every 6 months. I wanted wings. They're we're very good. My wife had a roast beef sandwich with horseradish mayonnaise. She enjoyed as well. The temperature in the bar is a little too warm to my liking but I guess it's ok for the locals. There's a reason why pretty Mary's still exists after so many years.

This is a very warm and friendly bar with superb service and delicious food. It’s a fantastic place for music and the craic is always mighty! Don’t hesitate to pop in and enjoy their hospitality.

After my experience today in pretty marys I am more than happy to say the food and the service was excellent. The food was lovely and they let us order something that wasn't on the menu today. The 3 members off staff Beth, Jordan & Carlie service to us was outstanding & they doted over my friends son. Will deffinatly be back.

This was a Saturday evening meal with the family. The food was good but we did have to wait over an hour between starters and main course. This was not a big deal to us as we enjoyed the live music and atmosphere which is really why we came to Pretty Mary’s but I know some other couples were not happy with the wait. That aside we had a very enjoyable meal and evening.
