Rockmount Golf Club in Lisburn

Arrived here with a party of eighteen for our evening meal. Great selection of food that catered for all our needs. Well looked after by all the staff, especially Sanjay.

Fantastic course & lovely clubhouse

It's the best restaurant for eating in, the staff are A1 and for the food it's an A⭐ but really the Owners of Rockmount are 1 in a million for their kindness and honesty towards everything they do. All staff in the club from the Manager to the brilliant greenkeepers it's such a friendly place to visit.

we attended the restaurant not having been in a few years. our previous experiences were all positive. this one today was terrible. To start the waiter struggled to grasp the concept of plain burger with cheese. when the meals came out it was no surprise that the order was wrong and our drinks hadn't arrived yet. We were charged for ordering beans that didn't initially come out with the food and by the time they came out it was about 10 mins after the children's food had initially came out. We were also over charged by 1 drink and the food was not nice at all and got cold very quickly. The food seemed to be frozen and the bill was way too expensive. A horrible experience. Poor all round.

We hadn’t been to Rockmount for years but decided to have Sunday lunch today. We were very impressed by the staff who were all excellent and friendly and were very accommodating to my husband who has a severe garlic allergy. It is amazing that in so many “so called good restaurants that chefs cannot make a sauce without garlic if needed”. The chef even came out after our meal to check that everything was ok! The food was beautiful we had brie, roast beef and warm chocolate cake all delicious. We will be back, thank you all!

My wife and I had Sunday lunch here today. I have a garlic allergy and the chef accommodated me. Staff were excellent and efficient. The food was lovely and portion sizes just right. The setting was good on a wet Sunday afternoon! We will be back!

Food and service were excellent,went with a large party from the Multiple Sclerosis society, and nothing was too much trouble.

It’s about time I wrote a review as we have been coming here more and more as of late. The service is constantly great, just the right balance of friendly and professional. We hosted my mother in law’s 90th birthday party here which was amazing. Great food, so attentive and just made her day! We have had steak here and I love that there is a smaller option which suits me perfect - the quality of the steak was really good. We have had the open prawn, burgers and the fish and chips all in the last couple of months. They have a lovely wine selection and sitting in those grounds really just makes the experience complete. Can’t wait to be back!

Great golf course, kept in good condition, with a few testing holes. The restaurant has a varied menu which should suit all tastes. Meals served warm by attentive staff. Pay a visit here for golf or food or both, well worth it. 22/7/24. Another visit to Rockmount. Course in excellent condition, greens good and had just been fertilised. Lovely curry afterwards...thanks to all the staff..

Having ate here many times before myself and a friend booked in for lunch over the weekend. I had heard mixed reviews about it lately. Fish and chips and scampi and chips ordered. Service was excellent and food arrived promptly. Plenty of chips on both but I counted six pieces of scampi on the plate. A couple were bigger than most but for I believe £17.50 the portion given is not good value. Pudding was warmed chocolate fudge cake with Chantilly cream I believe the fudge cake was very nice and very light can't really comment on the cream as the tiny dollop was so small it was almost invisible. All in all I wouldn't go back which is unfortunate as the restaurant is such a lovely setting and all the staff were so lovely but too many other places in the area offering better value for money.

Rockmount was the perfect venue for my surprise birthday party. Thank you to the restaurant for the delicious food, to the staff for looking after us so well and to Clyde for providing the entertainment which had everyone up on the dance floor. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Absolutely fantastic service, beautiful food and helpful friendly staff . Hired a room for my dad’s 80th bday party and genuinely couldn’t fault anything from start to finish. Amazing 🤩

I would give the steak deal a miss. £25 per person for a tiny steak with no flavour and a few unpleasant chips. A lacklustre onion and tomato on top and mediocre pepper corn sauce. It really should not be so difficult to get right?

Can i just say how good the service of the restaurant is. As a family we had Sunday lunch yesterday and one of our party was a vegan. The chef was exceedingly helpful and cooked a meal especially for the person. It really did make the meal very special that she was able to have something along with us - so thank you very much

Rockmount - wow what a golf course and set up, the course was in fantastic condition, greens were excellent, staff were great and good to talk to, the whole experience was 5 star in my opinion, the price was the best part £33 pounds, we have played more expensive courses on our trip to Northern Ireland and Belfast at over double the price, they should visit Rockmount to see how a golf course should be.

Great food,great locationa a tad more expensive for lunch but worth it,I had salmon and veg and chips,excellent meal.

The service was terrible tonight. Twice we were given menus and then forgotten about. I had to go up and ask for the kids drinks when they never came. We gave up on dessert even though they looked good and left. There's many staff on but most are just chatting amongst themselves or doing very little.

Great golf course, looked after well over winter, only two temp greens and all 18 open.

Tough enough course with a bit of everything for all handicaps. Considering the time of year and the weather that has been had, the course is in fantastic condition. Yes it is wet in places but it is to be expected. What I thought was fantastic was that the greens were in great nick and the bunkers had a good layering of sand. The club house is very homely and the atmosphere very welcoming. If I get the chance will have no qualms of visiting again.

Had my 12th hole-in-one here on the 12th hole . I've played the course multiple times from its creation, an excellent course 20 minutes from Belfast center.

Christmas menu tonight but still good choice of items. Service was excellent and entertainment started around 9pm was great. My go to place for a family night out.

This as a great little restaurant. However, the menu has changed recently and most of the old favourites have been replaced. In my opinion (and most people at the table) customers come here to order their favourites. With such consistent and regular patrons, it's a good idea the check first, or trial additional dishes before removing/replacing the favourites. Location is great. Atmosphere spot on. Staff fab. Shout out to Lauren who really worked hard to accommodate all requests.

We had a lovely lunch last Saturday the staff were exceptional Richard and anoch .?? And the wonderful new chef made it a lovely dining experience. It iscertain a full house from us we will definitely be back.nothing was too much trouble Love Food and superstaff

Great food + service + excellent surroundings 👍

We recently had a family meal here to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. There was 46 of us including 8 kids. The pre order menu we had was excellent, choice of something for everyone and good kids menu. On the afternoon of the dinner I was able to go in and put up some decorations. All the meals served were excellent, delicious and clean plates all round. A big thank you to Kerry and her team for making the evening a great celebration. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rockmount for a family celebration.

Great venue with good food and pleasant staff.

Played in the Thursday Open with another 7 friends. Rockmount usually a favourite & an excellent layout. Currently the course is playing long & is quite wet, not unheard of at this time of the year. However, the Open experience was spoiled by playing of White tees right at the back of every tee box. I imagine the mid week participants are mostly senior, a bit of a slog to say the least & missing the mark with this constituency. Course is probably playing close to 7,000 yards with current ground conditions. A little pragmatism could put Rockmount back on the enjoyable list.

Nice entrance of the road with good car parking spaces. Nice clean building and toilets. Ordered 3 pints of Guinness and had to return them as they were sour. The next three pints came from a different barrel so I was told, they weren't a great deal better. I couldn't believe my eyes when the next 3 pints came from the original tap which had been covered up, they were quickly rejected so we left.

Food is wonderful, service amazing.

Not a huge menu but enough options. Lovely staff and nice quiet atmosphere. Restaurant open to non members. Pretty quiet on a Saturday evening. Lovely view

Went for dinner with the family, great service and brilliant staff would definitely return , this was my first visit also, car park at front and side of building with loads of space , shop also inside for golfers

WE DONT VISIT HERE THAT OFTEN, BUT AM CONSISTENTLY IMPRESSED WITH THE CLEANLINESS AND THE ATTENTIVENESS OF STAFF. WELL ABLE TO ADVISE ON GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS TO SUIT ONE OF OUR PARTY. VERY GOOD PRICING AND THE FOOD IS VERY TASTY, WELL PRESENTED AND GOOD QUALITY WITH DECENT NUMBER OF OPTIONS ON THE MENU. ALSO FOR ONE OF OUR PARTY USING A MECHNICAL AID FOR MOBILITY, THIS VENUE IS VERY ACCESSIBLE.

Fantastic, beautifully maintained golf course. Suitable for all levels of players. We had a brilliant time! The Pro shop probably has the biggest selection of ladies golfing apparel in Northern Ireland, well worth a visit for that alone if you're a lady! Food was good, although service a bit slow, but there was a large group of us!

Five of us today for Boxing Day meal and food was fantastic. Staff are delightful and make sure customers are well catered for. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. I think it would be hard to improve on anything at Rockmount Golf Club. We enjoyed a relaxed meal and were able to catch up with relatives. Thanks to all at Rockmount for a Grand Day Out and best wishes for the coming year.

Myself and ladies from our Church had our Christmas dinner on Wednesday 08/12 22. From we arrived until we left the service and staff were very helpful and attentive. I recommend the restaurant to all. Many thanks to everybody Marion Thompson

We have been going to Rockmount for a long time, usually Sunday lunch. It is always warm and welcoming with pleasant, helpful staff. I have to give a special shout out to Shirley who is just great and she will go the extra mile for a birthday celebration. Food always good quality, perfectly cooked and just the right portion size. A real treat, especially at holiday times!

Had Sunday lunch today in Rockmount.We were delighted with fabulous food &very impressed with wonderful staff.Every team member was well trained very polite & pleasant.Particularly the female restaurant manager. Will definitely be back. extremely well trained

Excellent course. Well worth a visit. Good food.

Unfriendly atmosphere on the course. 4 ball in front of us wouldn't let us play through and then a fully grown adult in the two ball behind shouted at us from the tee "come on boys" while waving his arms. Nothing we could do and the play was ruined. Asked by a man on a cart if the play was slow which we said it was hoping he'd tell the 4 ball to let us through but he just drove away. Won't be back and won't be recommending.

Excellent golf course and excellent food

I'm not a golfer, but the food and service here is excellent, very friendly. Quite well hidden off the main road, but well worth a visit, I recommend the Hole in One dessert.

Played the course today for the first time and had a great experience. Really friendly welcome. Beautiful surroundings and what a great course. Excellent condition and some really beautiful holes. Would come back tomorrow. Two thumbs up!

Fantastic golf club, lovely course with tough greens and of course the 19th is superb, fantastic food and drink in a nice warm relaxed atmosphere. Worth every penny.
