This Review relates to the Portstewart location only - canāt find a separate listing for it on TA Experience as follows: Entered - smoky/ poor ventilation - coming from kitchen area Noisy - lots of noise (plates etc) from open kitchen area competing with the music and people trying to talk over both Cold (arrived 9:30 am - would have expected to be warmer by then) Expensive - but then most things on North Coast are Scones - limited variety. Not fresh. Covered in a sugar glaze. Excuses - sorry we have run out of jam. Went back to kitchen area to ask if had any marmalade instead? No. āBut you are serving scones and toastā? Response - Itās very busy this time of year. My response - thatās why you plan for it. It should have been a single star. But itās Christmas

The food here is really awful, they use cheap cuts of meat but charge the same as other restaurants that provide good quality meat. Returned sirloin steak as it was substandard, it resembled frying steak rather that sirloin- thin, chewy and tough- definitely could not justify Ā£18.95. I chose the burger as a replacement for the āsirloinā unfortunately the quality was also poor, have had much better burgers from chip shops- thin, over processed, cheap meat & really bland. My partner had the rump streak, marginally better than the āsirloinā but to be honest Iāve purchased more substantial steaks from Tesco at Ā£3.50 each. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but because of the unacceptable standard of the food we definitely wonāt be returning.

We were visiting north coast for a family occasion with members having flown in from different locations and we were all so looking forward to our Ulster Fry or 'Culture Fry' as they call it on their menu. We were so disappointed - our plates were cold and the food only lukewarm. In particular the soda was tasteless and really bland and stodgy. Sourdough toast wasn't great either and no marmalade on offer at all. On a plus point the flat white coffee and French toast were good but I'd definitely try somewhere else on the main street if you are looking for your fry up !

We ate here as the place we had intended to eat at was closed. There was a specials menu ranging from expensive roast dinners to cajun wraps. Nothing suitable for vegetarians. I asked if they had anything veggie and was met with a blank stare. I opted for a scone (a whole scone for lunch) which was rock hard. The server swapped it for another one, which was less hard as it had been semi heated. The other diners had paninis which seemed to be OK. Disappointing visit however the server was probably the friendliest person you'll ever meet.

A brief visit for a coffee and apple pie, both of which were delicious. I've visited here on a number of occasions, usually for breakfast or lunch and always found the food and the staff to be excellent. Today was no exception. The apple pie was offered with cream or custard, hot or cold. The latte was first class as was the service. Welcoming, polite and friendly. Thank you.

So so sorry to hear you are closing - your soups, your fresh sandwiches were amazing! I hope that circumstances change and you find a way to open again. You will be missed from the town.

Disgusting..... Last time I was here I made a large order for my family as I wanted to treat them to a takeaway. After I ordered I could see into their back storage room. There was a tiered cart on wheels with chips in each tray. To my absolute shock and dismay I could see someone with a mop and bucket right beside this. When I watched the person PLUNGE HARD into the bucket, they splashed the chemicals from the bucket all over the chips. Obviously this is disturbing to anyone about to eat the chips out of here. I don't want myself to get sick. Told the girl at the counter and she seemed very disinterested. I therefore felt I would just cancel the order and leave as I don't want to be at risk or my family.
