The best restaurants serving British food in England

We stayed here over the weekend. We have had food here on previous visits, and it has always been good quality. Add good service, friendly staff, and pub ambience, and it made for a good weekend.

Pretty nice place to go to on a weekend morning. My friends and I enjoyed browsing through the records in the basement, not bad coffee

Long wait for food but it was busy. Thin chips were tepid and tasteless. Breaded chicken was ok. Lovely cafe and shop but food today let it down.

One of our favourite restaurants which is why we have to visit whenever we're in Kingston. Great food and lovely staff.

Amazing grilled cod with garlic & parsley butter with sweet potato fries, and sharing platter for starter. Highly recommended!

The staff are great. They accommodated our new baby and made sure we had room for the pram. The food is the best quality whenever we come. Every time we come it makes me think why we didn't eat there before this year!.

We've been staying in Hinderwell for the week and have been three times now, as a family with grandparents, as a couple and as a family just with the child. The beer is good, the staff are friendly and the food is lovely. Not sure you could ask for more in a village pub experience. Well definitely back if we're in the area again.

We are regulars here. You can’t get a better breakfast or brunch for miles. There’s always a queue - be prepared to wait, but it’s definitely worth it!

We had a fantastic meal with lovely freshly cooked food. The Panfried Lambs Rump was absolutely delicious. The Fish and Chips amazing The sticky toffee pudding is not to be missed We will be back!!

Visiting Chester for the weekend and The Faulkner was one of the first pubs we noticed. The menu sounded great so we decided to give it a try. Staff were all very friendly on arrrival and service was very good. We shared some starter dishes and were all very impressed. Would definitely recommend

Had the best Sunday roast we have had for years. What a lovely friendly pub. Even our dog was welcome in the bar area.

Went for lunch, my wife had the fish butty and I had the roast beef with onions and gravy. They were brilliant, a lot of fish and beef, and very tasty. Great ale on tap, what more could you want?

Visité el restaurante Bath Priory para el almuerzo del domingo con algunas novias y qué experiencia fue! El servicio era impecable - el personal era increíblemente atento y profesional. We booked a family birthday celebration for 8 people and when I rang to confirm booking they had no record of my booking it will be the last time I visit this pub been coming here for years Manager very unhelpful and the way the previous person spoke to me they are not worth my custom
