The Pottery in Kingston upon Thames

One of our favourite restaurants which is why we have to visit whenever we're in Kingston. Great food and lovely staff.

We dropped by the Pottery spontaneously at an awkward time of day for a meal (3pm) and were warmly welcomed. The service was extremely friendly and all the dishes we ordered were so good! Even the bread was warm and fresh. An extra surprise was kombucha that was brewed in house rather than from a can. Looking forward to our next visit.

Ashamed to say this was our first visit having lived close by for a long time. Instantly felt at home, the staff were super friendly and relaxed. The atmosphere was great and the food was exactly what we wanted, loads of different dishes for our party of eight. A couple of interesting Mexican inspired dishes was a nice surprise, nachos and quesadillas both delicious. The Spanish tortilla was a huge hit. We will definitely be back again soon.

My two daughters and I visited this lovely Tapas Bar last Friday evening and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the bar had a real buzz about it. We were served quickly and each of us had three tapas dishes, all delicious and more than enough. The cocktails to accompany them were also excellent. Definitely worth a visit and you won’t be disappointed.

Great food, friendly staff, had a fab evening. Pork Belly and Beef Ribs a favourite for the meat eaters. Veggies loved the Goats Cheese and Padron Peppers. Patatas Bravas all round winner with everyone.

Staff were so incredibly friendly and welcoming, will be recommending this restaurant and bar to everyone I know! What an amazing experience, I had the Sangria and that was beautiful

Finally managed to go to The Pottery and it didn’t disappoint! Really cosy and quirky, lovely attentive staff (knowledgable too) and the food was delicious! Just be aware that the nachos and feta/apple salad are huge and not regular sized tapas plates. Delicious, will definitely be back. Thanks all :)

We visited for a birthday meal and just loved this place with the lovely garden. Beautiful atmosphere ,every corner. Wonderful service from every member of the staff. Especially the owner lady went the extra mile for our birthday cake. Super friendly and welcoming. (Thank you for your genuine and warm-hearted hospitality!) Seafood paella, padron pepper, whitebait were delicious with generous portion. Definitely going back👍

Many of the dishes were too spicy for our liking (lots of chilli). It would have been great if there had been an indication of this on the menu (spice rating). Having said that the food was well prepared, well presented and tasted good

Super tapas bar in Kingston-upon-Thames. The service was a bit muddled, but everybody was friendly.

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere! Food never disappoints and the service is unbelievable! Very excited to try their other venue out in Mortlake as have had such great experiences here!

Had a lovely time with my partner, when we came in we were welcomed so nicely. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, I am personally a very big fan of tapas and I have to say I was not disappointed, the food was amazing and the desserts were amazing, they really put detail in the presentation. Would definitely come back again. Best part was the garden, i did not realise how much the restaurant extended until I got there. Perfect place all year round!!!

I don't often write reviews but this place was outstanding. The decor is breathtaking - obviously someone skilled in interior design: from the colours to the butterflies on the ceiling. The food was also excellent - especially the fish cakes which had just the right amount of spicy kick and the meat skewers. I would have like to try the beef rib but would have been too much food. We went on a Monday night so it was quite quiet but I can imagine it is very busy through the weekend. Service was great but maybe flattered by it being quiet. Food arrived very fast. We will visit again.

Had a nice lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. The food was very good. My daughter especially liked the meat skewers and the potatas bravas. I liked the prawns and fish croquettes. The calimares was tasty too. The bread and Olive oil was a hit. The bread was fresh, warm and great for mopping up the remanence of anything with a sauce. Service as polite, friendly and efficient. It was quiet when I went but the decor is fine and the seating was comfortable. Overall it’s pretty good value. But I do think £9 for padron peppers is unusually high. It’s a good place

My daughters and I moved to live in Kingston upon Thames in 2017 and our first dinner took place at the Pottery. Since then this place became our perfect family gathering place where we celebrating our birthdays, achievements, bringing our family and friends for a night out, having date nights with my husband. The legendary vegetarian nachos is our “must have” at the Pottery. You can try nachos everywhere in the UK and will discover a simple truth - Pottery nachos are the best!

Can’t believe we have never been here before! Fantastic food and great service. Recommend the house paella. Certainly will come back soon.

Really like this place, I've been many times. It's my fave restaurant in the area. The outside garden is lovely, a nice place to spend a summers evening with friends. I’ve loved going to The Pottery for at least 20 years. Jackson is a delightful host, the venue and food atmospheric and delicious respectively. A brilliant neighborhood meeting place.

A family lunch at an old favourite where we’ve enjoyed many wonderful meals over many years. The food is great and we sat in the beautiful garden and it was as good as ever!

We came back here yesterday after a year away, the owner/manager was as friendly as ever and we immediately felt welcome. The food was as good as we remembered, we had a mix of six tapas, a couple of San Miguel lager shandies on what was a really hot day and ice cream sorbet and passion fruit mousse for dessert. All clean plates, service with a smile and satisfied customers. Would recommend if you are in the Kingston Richmond Park area and you like Spanish food.

Wonderful time at this restaurant. It was wonderful, the staff were amazing. Jackson was incredible greeting us with a wonderful smile and his warming presence. I would definitely revisit again. We went for a memorial lunch and party here the other week and the service was impeccable. Jackson and his team were great. Nothing was too much. They even made me something that wasn’t on rhe menu. Food is great, atmosphere fab and great staff. Will be coming back again!

The tapas were all delicious and reasonably priced and the desert blew us away. The best spanish dessert I’ve ever had!

It’s a local pub at the residential area which provides some special dishes e.g. paella. We ordered the chicken paella and calamari. It’s a bit spicy but I like it:) We came on weekday so it’s not that busy. Will definitely visit again!

After having driven past and commenting how lovely this place looked, we finally went in and we are so glad we did! The decor is really fun without it being overcrowded. The staff were really friendly and attentive straight away. We had a selection of tapas, all of which was delicious but the MVP for me was the vegan paella. I’ve had vegetarian paella in the past which has been just ok but this one was full of flavour and perfectly cooked. We ordered way more than we needed for two people because the portion sizes were bigger than expected, which was a great surprise. We ordered coffee to finish, and were pleased to find the coffee was also top notch. To round off an amazing dining experience, the staff came out with some ice cream for us on the house. We will 100000% be back, with friends in tow. We sat inside by the bar but next time we will go for a seat in the beautiful outdoor area.

Fantastic afternoon for my dad’s memorial celebration!! The staff were very attentive, making sure people glasses were full and the food which was tapas, was amazing. Beautifully presented and fabulous flavours!!

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. It’s my favourite place to go to for a delicious meal with a tasty drink and chilled atmosphere. Both - the inside and outside - are colourful, vibrant and spacious. I love the coziness and the decor of this place. The garden is simply beautiful - full of colours, lights, mirrors and greenery. You kind of feel like you’re on a holiday abroad. The drinks here are a delight, with the best Sangria and cocktails that are beautifully decorated with flowers. They also come in jugs which is great for sharing with friends. The food is outstanding. My favourite is the House Paella. It has the perfect mix of meats and seafood, and the portions are wonderfully generous. The deserts are also delicious - I will never forget this massive portion of Berry Crumble I had here. It was superb. This is the ideal place for a summer hang out or cozy winter evening. With its chilled vibes, this restaurant feels like home. The staff are super helpful and friendly. This place never disappoints and I love to come back. My go to for delicious dinner and drink in a beautiful garden (or indoors) with lovely, chilled atmosphere. Every visit feels special and I enjoy showing this wonderful place to my friends. Absolutely love it!

We had a wonderful evening on Tuesday 16th July with family and friends. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and Jackson and Rudi were AMAZING. Food was delicious- in fact some of the best Tapas we have ever had and the Paella was out of this world, both the chicken, chorizo and shellfish paella and the fish paella. I couldn't recommend highly enough. We will definitely be back. THANK YOU !!!

This is my go-to place whenever I come to visit Kingston. The atmosphere is so welcoming, and the food and drinks are superb. I definitely would recommend their sangrias - they’re really tasty and frankly beautiful to look at. The server, Rudy, was very attentive and polite. If you get the chance to meet the owner he’s really kind as well. Overall great place to go!

Great place found after we went for a walk on Richmond Park, they serve great cocktails, I recommend the sangria and we had the most delicious Paella, followed by a chocolate Pot!! If you are in the area o highly recommend! Their garden is a slice of paradise!

First time in. The place is the right size, cosy with a soothing open area inside. The staff was very kind and attentive, specially to our baby needs. We choose a variety of food and hit the 5star, including desert and the white wine sangria. I just wished I found this place sooner.

As a local pub, they are a nice place to meet friends or family. They make delicious food and drinks. The only pity is they don’t accept NHS blue light card as other local pubs would do.

Great place for food The owner was very friendly and helpful he made us feel so welcome The service was great fast and pleasant We had a roast dinner which was absolutely lovely real roast potatoes and plenty of meat and vegetables. My y husband had the ice cream for dessert and said it was the best vanilla ice cream he has had for years. We will certainly be going back as we want to try the seafood paella.

We've been going to The Tapesty for years. The food, atmosphere and service is always reliably fabulous. In the summer, the back garden is an oasis. Five stars!

Popped in for and extended lunch with family. Everyone loved it. Very unique experience in Kingston with a wonderful ambiance. Management and staff were excellent. All the dishes we sampled were delicious. I also enjoyed the local IPA on tap. We dined inside but finished off our drinks in the lovely sunny garden. Will be back soon. Highly recommended.
