The North Star in Kingston upon Thames

mixed bag really, potatoes were dry small and tough and few, carrots and gravy good, Beef nice portion and tender but tbh I didn't enjoy the flavours personally. wouldn't order that again unfortunately.

Lovely staff. Chairs falling apart. Great for a drink, not for food. Food was awful, waited ages, despite it not being busy, for the wrong food, food that did arrive was grim. Old brown lettuce leaves on the salad, carrots for the roast were rubbery and not roasted - they were a second thought as were forgotten on the plate, burgers that were wrong were clearly re-presented on the same plate due to the mess, not ideal for those with allergies, garlic bread was clearly left out under hot plate as was solid as a rock when put on table, all of us had waited too long so ate what he could but was not worth the money. Table next to us left as they were so appalled by our food. We were offered a round of drinks given the mess around with continuously bringing our the wrong food which did soften the blow.

Lovely evening, enjoyed the quiz every week and the food is always excellent!

Good beer, nice atmosphere & staff

The Korth Star sorted my mums wake for me and my brother, booking and arranging was very easy at a diffucult time. Food was great and plenty of it and the venue was outstanding. We were very well and professionally looked after by the staff.

Disappointing meal they must be frozen then heated on the plate carrots had turned to mush but had been burned in the heat up process the gammon had dried out and started to curl up it to was burnt . Don't recommend for a Sunday lunch

Absolutely phenomenal service from Tom an exsquisite pint, perfectly crisp. Also had a fantastic tandoori chicken skewer, succulent and flavoursome.

Everything was great, from the food, service and atmosphere.

When you walk in you will be hit by the overwhelming stench of oniony body odor. I have been coming here on and off for the last 17 years. I can confidently say the quality of the clientele has definitely declined, the decline correlates to the closing of the Cap in Hand. It has gone through many changes in management (thankfully there are no maggots in the beer with the current lot!), one thing stays the same. The atmosphere in the last 10 years is weird. Something is off about the place. Beer selection is okay, service is okay, decor is okay. Great garden (apart from the tables and floors being caked in bird poop). I would say it is easily the number one pub in Chessington though, but that's because there isn't much competition.

This shabby, unclean pub left us feeling sorry for a local,once well loved pub. Food on the floor by the bar was ignored by the staff & they allowed 2 customers to vape indoors, making me feel ill & not wanting to stay for a meal.

Decent locals pub in chessington. The pale ale was in very good condition and decent atmosphere for a Weekday afternoon.

Food twice as good as you can expect from the Chessington hotel for around half the price and only 10 minutes up the road.

I've liked and enjoyed this pub for over 30 years. Good service. Good beer. Good food. Pleasant atmosphere. Well managed. I'll be back. However, recently (31.08.24) we went to get brunch at 11:00 and were informed by phone that they wouldn't open for 30 minutes. It was frustrating and unkind.

Tom and the team at the North Star are always very helpful and polite. Special mentions to Jake and Paige who often go the extra mile. Nice to still have a decent pub in Chessington.

We've often eaten here and found the food varied and good value. Our group of friends are regular weekly visitors, greeted warmly and treated well. We'e slso been to several function and leaving parties which are always well catered for and a good atmosphere provided.

The manager Tom runs a really welcoming pub, friendly atmosphere and knows exactly what myself and 3 friends drink every Friday lunchtime.

Had a birthday party there 1st class well done.

Having booked a table at least a month ago, was upset to find that although one had been reserved for us, it was placed in an area that was already designated for use by a club!!! So we would not have had room to eat or hear ourselves talk.After much thought a space was created for us as we were a party of 6.The pub was very busy last night. This is not the first time that we have had problems after booking tables. But a big shout out to the acting manager Jackie who sorted the problem and looked after us. She is always very good.This pub is the only one in our immediate area serving food and it is a shame that they have these issues. Staff are very nice though.

decent quality overall although there was none of the expected mushrooms and only one peice of tomato! some kind of sauce or gravy would have been good. delivery driver was useless, made me wait outside my house for 10 mins while he wandered off round the corner.

Nice local pub with friendly and helpful staff. Paige behind the bar is a diamond. Affordable with good beer selections. Hope you keep the IPA on draught! Toilets could do with some replacing but to be honest after a few pints I didn't mind that much. Little garden out back is a sun trap on a nice day. I nearly fell through one of the tables but to be fair I think someone else had probably damaged it before. Clear for all to see that it is a beloved local regardless of anything else. Great pub to drop into for a drink and some food. Lovely staff, the landlord is a very friendly guy, his dogs much cooler than he is though.

I always enjoy my visits to The North Star Pub in Chessington!!! Great food at reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Really nice beer garden too which is perfect for a beer in the sun. Highly recommend.
