Disgusting.. possibly the worst portion of chips and gravy I’ve ever eaten.. the chips were warmed up Dry and vile The way over priced gravy was basically a lump of brown stuff. The guy frying the food looks like he needs a good shower Please don’t waste your hard earned cash in here it’s disgusting

Friday 21st June '24 Whilst in Tolworth for my Covid vac. decided to have a meal out. I remembered this restaurant from years back AND was not disappointed. I had cod and chips followed by apple pie and ice cream. The food and service was excellent, I found the whole experience very pleasant and will definitely return if in the area again. Thank you to all the staff

We had dinner here on Thursday night as a family of six. We found the restaurant to be very welcoming. Our waitress was absolutely lovely (sorry I didn’t catch your name)and was happy to chat to my children who were rather excited after a day at Chessington! She encouraged my daughter to try a shrimp and showed her how to peel it. She really helped us to have a lovely relaxed meal. The food was beautiful, lovely fresh fish and nice crispy batter. I had a portion of their curry sauce, which was actually the best I have ever had, followed by a fabulous homemade butterscotch tart. Accompanied by a decently brewed tea which was lovely and strong! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return if we are ever back in the area.

The service is appalling so slow. Nobody acknowledges you when you waiting and on a few occasions food was missing. I don’t know what’s happened they i=used to be so good

The whole experience was 2nd to none. Another level in food quality, friendly and prompt yet unhurried service. The staff are so attentive, polite and caring. We were made to feel very welcome. Friendly staff always reasobably priced. But every cod we have ordered tastes good but always tooo oily. Superfish should look at the mixture for the batter . But other than the oily fish , good service and tasty fish.

Very bland food, Batter on chips very soggy and tasteless, prices are a complete rip off! Coke served in a small glass which is smaller than a normal can. My friend who was visiting me was very disappointed. Even Sunshine cafe across the road is more tasty, and that’s saying something.

Great to find a fish shop selling Huss. A good meal. Waiter and waitress very friendly and up for a laugh. We're going back in a few days.

Get a chief who can cook chips properly a disgrace to British fish and chip , change of oil needed never returning 😤 and chips half raw

Really good quality fish, freshly prepared, in nice crispy batter with good chips. The mushy peas were excellent too, with a hint of bacon. I had the “fruits de mer”, which is a mix of cod, Huss and haddock; very generous portions, and very tasty. There’s a nice selection of reasonably priced wines. And the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

We went to Superfish Tolworth for a Friday F&C lunch. We hadn't been for over a decade. We used to go regularly to this one and the others too with my Uncle when he lived in Chessington. The decor had certainly been refreshed but the food was just as good as we remembered and they still did the lovely on the house treat of prawns, crusty baguette and butter as an appetiser. Excellent service too. Didn't have room to try the lovely selection of deserts...we'll save that for next time but sooner rather than later! ☺️

Went with my Mum, Sister, sit in at lunch time. The Cod was really nice, as was the Cod Roe my Sister had, very nice to get it straight out of the fryer. The Chips, they are the best chips I have had for years from a Fish & Chip Shop, golden brown and crispy, they were just so nice. The service was excellent, I even got a tub of prawns for my Cat, it was not busy at that time, a nice time to go. I will definitely be going there again.

This is a first class fish and chip restaurant and take away cooked in beef dripping the taste is amazing and whenever I'm in and around London i try to pay a visit

Good food and lovely service but a bit pricey for what it is, they do give you small appetizer like fresh prawns and bread to help pad the meal tho which was a nice suprise

Lovely food. Great to see that there are still fish and chip shops that don't use toxic seed oils (they use beef dripping which is both healthier despite what mainstream and incorrect health advice states plus makes the food tastier). I've been to the Cheam Village branch a few times and usually have cod or haddock but this time I tried the huss and it was so delicious and flavoursome. Thoroughly recommend for anyone who likes fish and chips cooked the correct way.

Last Friday got large cod and chips but fish not freshly cooked got home batter soggy really disappointed will go elsewhere

Usually really good but ordered 6 cod and chips the other day for some foreign guests and it was clear that the food had been hanging around a while. Stale chips and the fish was dry and chewy. Shame now I’ll have to find another fish and chip place and we’ve been going here for ages. Very disappointed.

The best Fish and Chips in the area, great portions

Ordered on line 16 orders for dad birthday I can honestly say best fish chips in ages, the super bites were full of lovely flaky fish unlike other chippys where it’s all batter. The cod was amazing. Oh and the chips were fantastic. We will be back

"2 large Takeaway fish and chips" cooked by a friendly polite kind man and served to take away @£7.50 in cardboard boxes were large satisfying portions of nicely cooked chips and fish for a cold and grey January Saturday lunch. The door to the restaurant was kept closed, and sanitiser bottles and dispenser were prominently available and visible for customer use in the takeaway area as well as the restaurant entrance. The takeaway area was spotlessly clean. The kind and friendly staff encourages us to return and recommend. Orders can be phoned in for collection.

Tried Superfish (eat-in) on the strength of reviews because we were in the Tolworth area and looking for a place to lunch Generally pretty happy with the quality, with fish batter tasting light and crispy. The chips were okay (nice and hot) but a little over-fried in my opinion. Most disappointing was my Saveloy, which was lukewarm at best when the plate was served. Service was brilliant with a very friendly young lady greeting us warmly and being very attentive and helpful throughout our meal. The restaurant was clean and although a little dated in terms of decor, it was fairly neutral in appearance. All-in-all a great little chippy for the area. :)

Staff were very friendly, however I'm quite sure that my 'cod & chips' wasn't cod,, but some other white fish. I've had cod hundreds of times and it has its own texture,, but this fish I was served resembled more like the cheaper/tougher white fish that is available in some supermarkets. I didn't mention anything to the staff because I didn't want to make a scene as it's a very compact sitting area, but I didn't enjoy the fish at all.

We bought a fish and chips today and the chips were oily and hard not soft to eat. Also the chips had lots of black spots on the chips even the fish isn’t fresh so we ate the fish but threw the chips away. Please avoid this place.

I used to really like this place I frequently went but the last time I was disappointed to say the least. I arrived, there was only one couple, already eating, no other clients and after a while, when nobody attended me I put my head around to the kitchen and indicated I was still waiting. The two women obviously considered their conversation far more important than serving a customer so after about 5 minutes more I decided to leave. Pity, normally the service is good but what a terrible impression two uninterested employees gave

Cheap and cheerful. Lunch time special- fish and chips were great and nice to get a good strong pot of tea which made 3 cups. Nice touch was the unshelled prawns and warm crusty bread served whilst waiting for our meal.

Voted 10/10 by London Live viewers, according to the banner at the front, facing on to the traffic on the Broadway. Well, yes. But it was about a decade ago. Still, this cheap and cheerful place keeps churning out the fish and chips, with most customers opting to buy at the little counter to the right before you actually enter the den. It's a real old-fashioned chippy with beer batter, creamy white fish and all the accoutrements.

The best in the Kingston, Surbiton, Tolworth, Worcester Park etc area.

No problems with the delivery service. Kept well informed of progress and notified when on its way. However compared to what you purchase over the counter on in the restraunt, this was a disaster. I ordered 2 saveloy, 2 small cod and two small chips. If i was a child or pensioner the portion of the smaller piece of fish would have been about right, about half the size of the other. Needless to say there was a big fight over who had what. The chips were put in with the fish. Annoying as they were for not for the fish eaters. The portions really were small, much smaller than when i have collected. I had to go into surbiton to get more as my guests refused to eat them due to contamination. I certainly won't bother ordering a delivery from here again. I want to see what i get. This was poor value for the £32 it cost.

I often take my daughter here for an easy fun Friday dinner. Superfish is easily the best fish and chips in the area and the best I have had for a long time. Crispy battered fish, fried in beef dripping the old way. Veggie oil option is available. The best thing is they bring you a gravy boat of tartare sauce not those annoying little sachets! Simply the best.

My husband and I ate at the Super-fish restaurant which is also a take away fish shop last Friday and we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food for such a small amount of money, unfortunately there is not a huge amount of seating area so you need to get there early as you cant book its first come first serve, we enjoyed it that much we are going again this evening, If you are thinking of going yourself I would advise you get there before 6 pm to give yourself a chance of getting seated, if you have to wait there are a number of places in the area for you to get a glass of wine or beer while waiting.

Best fish and chips you can get, the fresh haddock is as always cooked to perfection. Good to see a real fish and chip shop that hasn't diversified into kebabs etc just a good old fashioned chippy!

Pros: we were given six complimentary prawns and bread and butter. Cons: fish fell away from the batter. Chips consisted of large, small and bits from the bottom so didnt seem fresh. Possibly from day before. Coke was flat. Last time we came fish was black inside so not impressed. No apologies from waitress, just not bothered. Took our sauces off table to give other people while we were still eating. I cant say you get what you pay for as it wasnt even good value for money.

Ordered a moby dick and large chips waited 15 mins for order didn’t mind they cook to order Got home could not believe it the fish was over cooked batter was burnt and tasted bitter chips had burnt black batter stuck to it and after paying over £10.00 it has to be the worst meal I’ve ever had served to me. But more important they did no justice to the fish What a waist of a good piece of cod. I think I’ll stick with the local Chinese who don’t boast fresh fish & chips but at least they can cook. Only other option is McDonald’s fillet of fish. How sad!!!!!!!

Spent £30 on fish/pie and chips to take away. The chips tasted old and some were gritty, the pies were dry as if they had been heated all day and even looked over cooked, so it seems we have been fobbed off with the "old food". Threw away most of the food and gave the pies to the dog. Have been to Superfish Ewell before and the food was good so expected the same quality, how wrong I was, for the sake of shifting some old food Superfish Tolworth have lost any future business or recommendation from me. My advice is either check the food before it is wrapped or better still go somewhere else.

We found grit inside one of the chips, which were old and chewey,we were un able to finish our pies because they were rock solid. Very badly done for a meal thats so simple. I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone, and Im never going back myself .
