Took my young daughter for a meal. Food was perfect and fab service. Atmosphere was building for England Netherlands. It was really friendly and prices sensible.

Im a regular & im always more happy when i visit when im served by young Val he is a great character behind the bar making drinks & on hand to help his colleagues... many times has handled difficult situations impressively acting way above his pay grade. The food top class for the price & the loyalty scheme is a great thing to be using! Happy days all round

I came in yesterday for a meal with 2 friends. Was told a wait time of 45 mins for food.. bit long but was happy to wait. I’d asked for 3 drinks & the bartender had to get the supervisor from delivering food to make the drinks. He whipped up 3 killer cocktails & appreciated our patience explaining as the bar staff are new… Food came out a bit later than 45 mins but we were offered a free side or drink for waiting.. instead we asked for a takeaway box as we had places to be after… good food, nice drinks but you could see this was service was a 1 man show & could do with an extra pair of hands. Nice vibe in the bar area / pool table where we sat.. will be back again.

We celebrated a birthday there, and I must say, the service was truly exceptional. Despite the bustling atmosphere and the fact that one staff member (Val) was managing the floor alongside two new starters, he went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. He frequently checked in on us, making sure we were enjoying ourselves and asking if we needed anything. The cocktails he crafted were nothing short of amazing, and his friendly banter kept us laughing throughout the evening. We left with smiles on our faces, grateful for such a memorable night.

Attended the Chessington Oak for a 60th birthday party also had great entertainment with the ub40 night on Saturday 3rd August 2024 - the staff were professional and pub was kept up to clean standards, the birthday girl had a fab night also. The buffet food was very good selection - Will be returning for day to day food and drinks on a normal day/evening😊

I just flew back to the uk yesterday, popped in with my son for a bite to eat and a drink or two. There was one bar staff member young guy in his early 20s who actually knew what he was doing. I saw he had to be dragged back from serving tables because the other two bar staff members were swimming in orders and we wasn’t getting served I think he was a supervisor as he was all over the bar and flirt handling orders taking food to tables making sure everyone was served and got their food. My question is to management and owners why would you only have 1 person who actually knows what their doing in front of house? I presume a lack of care by the owners but service was good my son ordered a burger came out well.

Great if you want to take turns watching each other eat or pick 4 different meals because there wasn't much in stock. Followed by 2hr wait for food, the couple behind us were waiting 45mins for ice cream! On the upside, I learnt a few new swear words from the guy stomping around delivering food. The bar maid was nice and polite, and the other staff were friendly enough just a shame the other fella had the customer service skills of spitting cobra. Better off at beefeater

Food was absolutely fine but having a server swearing, in front of my kids ain't on. Young lad, early 20's. Wasn't our fault they were low on staff but to be swearing when delivering drinks to the table and at the bar is disgusting. We spent a lot of money, with 10 people dining and was shocked at the service. As we are staying around here for two days we came back the next day because the food was good, hoping it was just an off day, the same server was in a better mood, still not great but certainly better but the wait on food was over 1 1/2hrs!

We had dinner here last weekend as a large group (9 adults, 5 kids and a baby) after a day at Chessington World of Adventures. I appreciate that they were able to accommodate us on a Saturday night as nowhere else near the theme park was able to. The service was excellent - our server Jack was rushed off his feet attending to us and the chef Carlos did a good job keeping up with so many different dishes. Food was decent, standard family pub fare and hit the spot after a long day. I think everyone was happy.

Abit busy on arrival and lots of regulars at the bar abit intimidating to start on first entry but overall happy environment and once it was quieter it was much better . Food amazing. Big up Jack Jon and Carlos. Yessss!!

Very nice lunch. My dog was made to feel welcome too and given a bowl of water. Quick service and very nice food, served hot. Laura was really friendly and helpful too.

Came here for lunch in the sun. Beer garden is wonderful. Laura served us she was so polite and friendly. Would highly recommend for a nice affordable meal and drinks

First time visit for this lovely pub Went with wife and her sister and brother Order two fish and chips, one scampi and chips and I had medium rare steak We all could not fault the well presented dishes and they all very much enjoyed For dessert we had chocolate fudge cake and ice cream and also my brother-in-law and sister-in-law had the chocolate sundae They were all fabulous and could not be faulted Will definitely return to this well run establishment

Went for drinks on Saturday night. They had karaoke on. Was a right laugh for me and my friends, everyone got stuck in. Very nice pub and staff.

I came in on the 27th of June with some friends and family. The service was quick and a lovely supervisor Jess served us she was very polite and make sure everything went smoothly. The food wasn’t amazing but Jess make sure we where taken care of

The burger... oh my God... an hour wait in a deserted pub for a burnt bun charred and disgusting. Yet the chips stone cold. No check back. No one could care less. A table of 9 people adds 1 to 1.5 hour delay to a simple chicken burger. Told the guy it was burnt and hideous - but he laughed and walked off saying "yeah I'll let the chef know"!! Place is empty as can see in photos, imagine the delay if 2 or 3 tables turned up! No one checked if food was good, but even if complain are dismissive. Recommendation: Save your money, do not visit. Not worth it.

Really nice pub not far from Chessington Park with reasonably priced food and very quick service. Jack the server made us feel so welcome and Dale the chef prepared the food within 10 mins. Would recommend coming here if your staying in the area

Wow, the Oak have improved so much over the last couple of months. Food have really improved and we love the entertainment nights with the DJ, bingo nights and darts. James you have really turned the place around. Top customer service from Stacy the assistant manager who is always full of smiles and top banter. Roll on the next Dj night.

This is clearly a local pub serving food in a rather tired grey building with similarly tired decor. But see beyond that, and it is friendly and clean...and has really good food from a wide menu that will please all tastes. Plus the prices are very reasonable. Service was pleasant, but meal was slow to arrive. Perhaps it was the time of day midweek. There is a small car park for patrons. I will be going back.

Took the family for a meal, done the food and drink order through the QR code on the table waited nearly 3/4 hour for food to arrive didn't even get our drinks until I approached staff food came and big disappointment rice over done from the microwave I suppose another plate cold food my steak well done not medium rare, and hunters chicken make your own mind up 😠

Due to some bad experiences around 8 months ago we stopped coming. We thought that we would give it another go and was absolutely blown away by the whole experience!! We met the new Manager Carlos who is so pleasant and friendly and advised us on what to eat. The food was amazing and cooked beautifully so much so, we told the chef of this who was also so friendly! They have introduced special events throughout the week that has never been done before which is nice to see. Overall, really happy that Carlos has made it great again and cannot wait to return!

This pub was great for our group of 8! Very kid friendly and perfect for our four little ones. The food was good but most importantly the hospitality was outstanding! The kids got colouring masks and balloons and though they were a bit noisy and messy everyone was extremely kind to us. We had a great time and the pub was perfect for our kids. Prices were great too! Recommended if you need to grab lunch with kids in the area!

Our family were staying at chessington and we needed some dinner and this is the only place that had availability. This soon be ame clear why. We waited at the bar for around 5 mins to let them know we had a reservation and to be shown to our table. We were then seated and ordered at the bar. Whilst waiting for our food it became aparrant it was bingo night ad a lady shouted "SHUTUP" "I WONT STARR TILL YOUR ALL QUIET". Very odd. We then waited a little under 90 mins for 2 basic meals and 2 sides. Unfortunately the pizza was a £1 Chicago town pizza. No one came to ask of our food was ok. We left rather quickly as I felt like I was in an episode of shamless

On the 27th of April 2024 in the evening we came to this pub to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a group of friends and family. We ordered cocktails called sex on the beach and the supervisor that day did not know how to do drinks at all and cocktails I think it’s appalling and when you tell them about it and email the pub they respond to you and it’s all complete lies from the pub side what they said and I have pictures to prove it. This is what you call sex on the beach cocktail and not even using cocktail glasses, this is how they make their money people but not using the right glasses

I went there for lunch on Saturday with my friend for her birthday and what can I say? The food was absolutely delicious (compliments to the chef) and we received outstanding service from a member of staff called Lauren! She was very friendly and went out of her way and gave table service for me and my friend! She was incredibly hospitable and was always there if we needed her! 5* overall

Laura and the team, have turned the place around. This has made me forget my last visit under the previous management. Where i vowed never to return. Since I heard the establishment was under new management I thought I’d give it another try. I’m pleased I did, The food was excellent the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Especially Laura who made sure that all was well & her customer service was second to none. I will be coming back for sure. Food was also very nice.

Just had some delicious food off the new menu was amazing and tasted so good! We had Gyro chicken wraps with chips. Then made the most of the new deal puddings… chose mini profiteroles with a hot chocolate… these were also amazing as expected! Lovely presentation and the new style chips were perfect! Great new menu can’t wait to try more! Service was prompt with a smile and very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere will definitely be back soon! Recommend to all to come try this lovely friendly pub and it’s amazing food.

Came yesterday evening to have a quick dinner because of horrible weather but we stayed longer, much longer :D Food was delicious, sirloin steak was tender and my son ate whole grilled chicken but mostly reason was Kira. She looked after as very well- gave us a sofa, recommended stakes, checked us few times and we had a lovely, friendly conversation. For sure we will back but this time with friends to have an amazing time. Thank You Kira.

Good honest pub food. Clean & tidy. Quick service & staff polite

There are just two other tables in this venue’s pub “dining room”which have a few customers sitting at them. This solo inspector ordered a basic pub scampi and chips at 2:26pm. It was served at 3:52pm. Neither scampi nor chips were even remotely warm let alone at the right temperature. And the few peas served were sparse and dried out, as if cooked yesterday, which they clearly were. The food was mostly left on the late. First and last time visiting. CheckReportUk won’t be returning to this place.

Good atmosphere friendly staff Food good value for money

Having been a regular at the chessington oak for some time now. I can honestly say this is the best management team to date. The staff are brilliant, the food is great, always hot and always in good timing. We came with our family today (8 of us) and although the restaurant was very busy, nothing was too much and Laura took very good care of us during our visit.

Decent food, good value for money, what really stood out however was customer service. The staff was very welcoming and understanding of the behaviour of two toddlers that we had with us. Very patient, and even gave us couple balloons to entertain the kids. Would definitely come by again next time we're around!

Lovely food and evening in Chessington Oak with delicious Double Beef Burger and side of smashing onion rings our kids enjoyed time and meal as well. Best service provided Kira for us. She is professional ,helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere and quick service.
