I’m full from the Halal breakfast and I even asked to remove the beans from it which gos to show how much you get while also being flexible and adaptive for the customers, we only spent £5-£10 each

Just wanted a traditional bit of grub, this delivered. First time ever ordered here and is now my new favourite. It was warm, fresh and delicious. Might be cause I was starving but best cafe I have ever had; thanks

Updated 2/3/2024 A delightful cafe just off the shopping centre serving all day brakefast and a lot more beside. The guys who run Spuds have always given each customer a friendly welcome. and get to know your likes ,if like me you keep coming back as I have done for years It is so nice to have whole button mushrooms and real fried tomatoes with your meal and not that diced offering or tined muck you get. Even my fried eggs are hard cooked just the way I like it . An oasis to chill out and to enjoy the food Long way it be so . Searing round 50 Only disadvantage is that a wheelchair user would have difficulty using the toilet.

Clean, kind and great food, halal option available. Have been going here for years never been disappointed.

I fairly regularly have lunch there when I'm in Kingston. The food is always good and often have a chat with the friendly and regular staff there.

The spuds here are HUGE and really tasty and come with a huge amount of toppings. The fried brekkie are yum too. I wish there were more places like this that sell jacket pots

We both had a jacket potatoes 1 tuna mayo and 1 cheese no salud garnish nice cooked and only 5 40 for 1 filling and tea was fine.

good breakfast in here big portion fairly priced the only thing I did not enjoy was the mushrooms and bacon thought they were poor quality and mushrooms tastes a bit stale but still despite that the rest of the breakfast was brilliant great eggs good sausages black pudding was delicious and it was all hot big portion too for the price

I was going to get some Asian food, but as I was walking past Spuds I suddenly fancied a jacket potato. Really glad I stopped by. I had a tasty spud, cheese and beans and a really good coleslaw and salad with it. Also got a bottle of water and it was under 9 quid total. The guy serving was really friendly and the place was really chill. Nothing fancy but then you don't always fancy fancy if you know what I mean!

My first visit today. Lovely traditional breakfast hit the spot and all for a really good price.

Absolutely amazing breakfast! Toast reminded me of my childhood and the sausages (halal) were juicy, scrumptious and definitely worth travelling from Birmingham for this!

My food was open in the bag when it arrived and all slid to one side and cold, no cutlery and no salt and pepper

My 1st visit here yesterday, was a great portion size, reasonably priced fancied a nice jacket potato, nice and clean. Will definitely go back again now I know they are here. Quick service.

Way more food than I expected and all really yummy. Would love the option to change fried eggs to scrambled though. But otherwise wonderful! Defo will go again

Usually delicious n good but I was given mushrooms that were definitely off, tomatoes were like overcooked sludge and black pudding so burnt it was like a dry breakable biscuit , so I'm afraid they've lost us as regular customers.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal of cheese&ham omelette, chips & beans. Very very tasty! Well packaged, delivered so fast. Will definitely be ordering again.

Proper old school caff, a big cooked breakfast is a few pounds, and you get big portions

My wife and I ate here recently for the first time. A number of items were overcooked, including the bacon, veggie sausage and mushrooms. Also, the microwave was in constant use and was even used to cook the scrambled eggs. The teas were nice and the staff were friendly.

Great selection of food and price is very reasonable. Between the 5 of us we tried the jacket potatoes, baguettes, sandwiches and fresh coffee. All good size meals with a great service. We will be back!

Loved it! Food was simply delicious, staff were absolutely brilliant, and there was no hurry to leave. Would definitely return again. Sorry I didn't take photos this time, but will do so with permission next visit.

A great little cafe the owner was friendly a good alternative to the fast food chains that are usually found in high streets.

All dried out and cold, bacon was so tough it asked me for a fight outside, Delivery was late, and they promised it would be re done, clearly wasn't. Was all reheated. Disappointed

Great full english, all clean and oil free, presented in large container, with condiments, sauces and cutlery. Fresh mushrooms and tomatoes, decent back bacon, perfectly cooked fried eggs and although not a Cumberland, sausages were tasty. Couldn’t ask for more.

They have the tastiest Omelets I've ever tried. You should also try their jacketed potatoes.

Enormous portions of really well cooked food and so many condiments! Really nice, punctual delivery driver. A tad expensive compared with some other cafés but I have no regrets.

Great traditional English breakfast with tea and bread and butter for only £6.50. Has a real old feel to it which gives the place a bit of atmosphere. Treasure a place like this because a lot of them have disappeared now.

Looking for a decent no-frills plateful of calories. You've found it. Spuds is Kingston town centre's premier greasy spoon - a no-nonsense eatery with value for money stamped into its DNA. It's superb value. Although the prices have sneaked up a tiny bit in the past couple of years, this is still remarkable. You could try for the omelette breakfast (mysteriously misspelt omellette on their board), which dishes you up cheese omelette, beans, chips and tomato for under a fiver. Add a tea and it's only another £1.20, add toast, add anything, and it's still cheap as chips. The heart-stopper (two bangers, two bacon, chips, mushrooms, two eggs, toast, tomato, onion rings, black pud and a cuppa) is under eight quid. You don't get value like that anywhere else in this market town. Other options include chicken, fish n chips and pie and chips. Bargain prices, and as English as it comes.

I was on the search for a good proper British greasy spoon (im a brit who lives abroad) and this fit the bill! I hate hate hate hipster cafes, chains and anything that affects an air of pretentiousness so this place attracted me as it was humble, had proper normal food like jackets, apple pie and full englishes. I think the man who served me was Italian explaining why my coffee was so good (no nescafe here) and the apple pie and custard was just what I needed- why arent there more caffs like this? why did they die out? Ill def recommend to my colleagues who live in the south and on my next working trip to Heathrow ill make the journey here.

I eat here all the time. It is great if you was a filling meal. I have never had a bad meal there and I have been going for over 15 years. It is fantastic value for money with decent quality food at a very affordable price. I gave it 5 stars because it does what is is designed to do very well. If you want to eat gourmet food, then this is not the place for you. This is just a very good caffe.
