Never felt so welcome ever !! The guys go above and beyond ...Food is up there aswell.

Fantastic, friendly staff. Inexpensive drink prices and incredible entertainment at the weekends. A lovely big garden, which is great in the summer when they put on a bbq. Highly recommended for a fab night out!

Great pub with reasonable prices, friendly staff and a great live music scene. Brilliant events on every week, a rarity these days. Also has nice Greek food at very reasonable prices.

Music was good. Nice food on offer although we didn't eat there. Too many drunk crazy people there.

A small unassuming pub from the outside but the have this great monthly big bad night that is just unique with 17 musicians doing jazz from all ages and having fun. Recommended to go.

You'd think after the trials and tribulations of lockdown, landlords would be interested in any opportunity to increase footfall. Not so the landlord of the Oak. Went to a gig there on Saturday night, which was great, it is a great space for live music, so you'd think he would be interested in using the space midweek, with my proposal to have Open Mic there. His response was a bit curt, just saying he didn't want open mic. I asked him why not and he said"Its my decision", which of course it is, but you'd think he would have at least done me the courtesy of telling me why! So... I've gone down the road to The Grey Horse, which is a much better place. better venue, more choice of beer, with a very friendly landlord!

A large bar with live music, sport on large TV screens & food. The reason there weren’t more stars awarded because the toilets are disgusting and there doesn’t seem to be any heating on. This seems exaggerated by the owner walking around in a massive jacket.

i was looking for a place to watch Eng vs Fra, and was told by my local pub to go to The Oak, further down the road. Two gents stood at the door and blocked me, demanding 20pounds entry fee. When asked what I would get for that entry fee, the answer was a condescending "YOU GET NOTHING!" Needless to say I was disappointed and walked to the next place...

John Bird Big Band night is a great night out at The Oak

Lovely pub to visit. My friend and I had an amazing time. Staff are super friendly and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this pub for families, couples, friends or whatever the event may be. The fresh flowers were lovely. It's really clean music just at the right level. And the beer on tap also amazing whatever you choose from larger to Guinness staff knew how to pour a pint or 2. I would highly recommend.

Worked with 5Day Weekend (a local covers band) on their first gig back at The Oak in nearly 2 years, tonight, great crowd, great staff, a great local music venue.

I hadn't realised what a nice pub this. There's a good sized seating area outside, some open air and some covered. Great grub, fun& friendly staff.

Nice staff and good outside area. There is always someone about to take your order. This is my experience from going to the pub on a busy Saturday when the football was on.

The new decor since lockdown brings a new welcoming ambiance to the pub, I especially like the fresh flowers on the bar, nice touch. Recently the pub has had a complete kitchen refurb and subsequently started a food service once more. They call it Greek street food which as it turns out is absolutely delicious and plentiful. Prices are more than reasonable so full marks to Klajdi the owner. They deliver free too which is a bonus these days. Finally I would like to acknowledge Klajdi’s participation in the Rashford free food for school kids scheme. Well done !

We tried the Souvlaki Corner at The Oak for the first time last night and it was amazing. You could tell it was freshly preperd and it took me back to my greek holidays, such a great addition to the area. Thanks for the quick delivery!

A no frills pub, good bands, attentive staff not a bad choice of drinks, at least it had a reasonable cider. Plenty of room to dance if your so inclined. Personally would only visit to see bands.

They have live bands several nights a week. Food is pizza (not tried as yet) beer is unfortunately ruined by poor cellar management. Otherwise they are trying hard to please!

I need to return here to try the menu, but on a brief visit both the staff and customers were welcoming and friendly. Drink and bar snacks reasonably priced and the team are more than happy to host a special occassion. Live comedy nights here are also worth exploring.

Pretty basic pub, but with a good selection of drinks. Staff were friendly and served us late, after initial misunderstanding. Reasonable prices. There are certainly other more fancy places nearby, but if you want a good old fashioned pub this is a decent place to go.

People this is an awesome pub. I've been in a lot of of pubs and music venues all over the world and these guys welcome you with great music and great acoustics. Tues big band rehearsal and Thurs open mic are both special staples and the rest is just a bonus :0)))))))

Good music venue great service good beers not to costly good food bit shabby

The owners are really friendly helpful guys. Always happy to help out if you have any problems for example needing your phone charged or anything that might make your experience better. Deff a pub to try out even if it doesnt look it when you come inside. It's not a fancy pub by all means but has a nice outdoor area to drink/smoke and the atmosphere is chilled. Even were aloud to bring our own food in as they wernt serving any. Give it a go if your looking for a pub which isn't central kingston and not as busy as the main pubs. But a good vibe and good beer.

Very nice pints and friendly bar staff. What seemed to be, the only pub in the area showing sports. I visited midweek to watch the champions league football, it was quiet, just a few men at the bar.

I have been here a few times over the years and it really is terrible, poor choice of ale (which never tastes as it should), poor food, the tables are often sticky or dirty and last time I went there were broken bottles all over the beer garden. The one redeeming feature is that some of the bands that play here are quite good although the sound quality can be very bad sometimes.

Have just left The Oak. What an absolutely amazing night non-stop dancing with the soul and funk band GROOVE MANOOVA. You are missing something awesome if you don’t take a night out to see this band. Check out the pub for the next time they’re on.

Friendly place. Decent selection of beers and spirits. Live music most nights. Good atmosphere. Hot food served. Friendly bar staff, garden, veranda behind the pub. Easy for public transport as 65 stops right outside. Live music till 11PM. Close to Kingston train station for South Western Railways.

Excellent country pub good grub,good atmosphere thoroughly enjoyable

Thoroughly enjoyed the funky night with the guest band. Really good fun! The place was alive and buzzing with all ages enjoying the music. It's easy to park as there's free parking in the evening at the local Sainsbury's opposite. If there was to be any criticism about the pub, I'd say their choice of beer was a bit limited and not many seats. However, I guess there's a need for dancing space when the bands play.
