Great atmosphere all ages and great bands management outstanding staff excellent recommend to all

Definitely a sports pub and I can see that it would work well, but I just had a pint of Harveys Best that was sour (i.e. very old) and warm so I actually just poured it away. If The Oak is not getting enough trade for cask beer to support even the one hand pump that they had then they just need to drop cask and stick to keg. Cask doesn’t need this bad customer experience.

I've been visiting this Pub frequently lately, especially to watch all the matches of the European Championship. The atmosphere has been absolutely perfect. The pub offers an incredibly friendly environment for all fans, making it the ideal spot to catch the games. The food is outstanding, consistently delicious, and the service is impressively fast, even with around 400 people present during the game broadcasts. It's clear that the staff are well-organized and dedicated to providing a great experience for everyone. Overall, has exceeded my expectations. The combination of a lively atmosphere, excellent food, and top-notch service makes it a fantastic place to watch sports and enjoy a night out. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return. Five stars all the way!

Kingston's little gem, great food and atmosphere. We watched the games recently and what an electrifying energy. The host was great and very accommodating, we showed up more people then we reserve for and he sorted us immediately. Will be coming back soon

If you wanna try the best food in area it is a MUST, very friendly and nice atmosphere & best service experienced. Well, would defenitly recomand not to loss the weekends with live music.👌

The Oak ,one of these few traditional pubs standing nowadays unfortunately Good decent food at reasonable prices me, lovely atmosphere especially on this Euro cup where the pub is designated as English fan pubs Unless there's other matches where England doesn't partake. Come on England make us proud this Sunday

I’ve been here before and actually enjoyed my time, but on my recent visit I was denied entry for wearing a Serbian football shirt. The man at the door and who I presume to be the owner stated “no, you are not allowed in. Only 1 team today. I don’t want you in my pub.” Clearly racist agenda, it’s utterly disgraceful. Never felt so unwelcome.

Have been spending few amazing days over the years at The Oak , and every time has been amazing. The place has a beautiful set up for all the football fans enjoying the European championship, and it’s amazing BBQ . I would recommend this place to everyone that would like to spend summer days in their beautiful garden .

Fantastic, friendly staff. Inexpensive drink prices and incredible entertainment at the weekends. A lovely big garden, which is great in the summer when they put on a bbq. Highly recommended for a fab night out!

A small unassuming pub from the outside but the have this great monthly big bad night that is just unique with 17 musicians doing jazz from all ages and having fun. Recommended to go.

You'd think after the trials and tribulations of lockdown, landlords would be interested in any opportunity to increase footfall. Not so the landlord of the Oak. Went to a gig there on Saturday night, which was great, it is a great space for live music, so you'd think he would be interested in using the space midweek, with my proposal to have Open Mic there. His response was a bit curt, just saying he didn't want open mic. I asked him why not and he said"Its my decision", which of course it is, but you'd think he would have at least done me the courtesy of telling me why! So... I've gone down the road to The Grey Horse, which is a much better place. better venue, more choice of beer, with a very friendly landlord!

A large bar with live music, sport on large TV screens & food. The reason there weren’t more stars awarded because the toilets are disgusting and there doesn’t seem to be any heating on. This seems exaggerated by the owner walking around in a massive jacket.

i was looking for a place to watch Eng vs Fra, and was told by my local pub to go to The Oak, further down the road. Two gents stood at the door and blocked me, demanding 20pounds entry fee. When asked what I would get for that entry fee, the answer was a condescending "YOU GET NOTHING!" Needless to say I was disappointed and walked to the next place...

John Bird Big Band night is a great night out at The Oak

Lovely pub to visit. My friend and I had an amazing time. Staff are super friendly and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this pub for families, couples, friends or whatever the event may be. The fresh flowers were lovely. It's really clean music just at the right level. And the beer on tap also amazing whatever you choose from larger to Guinness staff knew how to pour a pint or 2. I would highly recommend.

Worked with 5Day Weekend (a local covers band) on their first gig back at The Oak in nearly 2 years, tonight, great crowd, great staff, a great local music venue.

Nice staff and good outside area. There is always someone about to take your order. This is my experience from going to the pub on a busy Saturday when the football was on.

The new decor since lockdown brings a new welcoming ambiance to the pub, I especially like the fresh flowers on the bar, nice touch. Recently the pub has had a complete kitchen refurb and subsequently started a food service once more. They call it Greek street food which as it turns out is absolutely delicious and plentiful. Prices are more than reasonable so full marks to Klajdi the owner. They deliver free too which is a bonus these days. Finally I would like to acknowledge Klajdi’s participation in the Rashford free food for school kids scheme. Well done !

A no frills pub, good bands, attentive staff not a bad choice of drinks, at least it had a reasonable cider. Plenty of room to dance if your so inclined. Personally would only visit to see bands.

They have live bands several nights a week. Food is pizza (not tried as yet) beer is unfortunately ruined by poor cellar management. Otherwise they are trying hard to please!

I need to return here to try the menu, but on a brief visit both the staff and customers were welcoming and friendly. Drink and bar snacks reasonably priced and the team are more than happy to host a special occassion. Live comedy nights here are also worth exploring.
