The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Usually I enjoy the peacock,the food had always been good.On this occasion it was a let down. I ordered the steak and ale pie with mash and peas which i have had before and was my favourite choice off the menu .The pie was hot on the outside but cold in the middle.I informed a member of staff who didn't even apologise ,she took my plate away and came back about 5 minutes later,same pie but now it was steaming hot.I presume they just popped it In the microwave.An apology would've been appreciated !

This cafe is always so busy, there were 3 customers before us, and we waited for half an hour. It is bank holiday, only two people were serving . Extremely slow service, and every time I come - it is same thing. Do something about it! Where is management? Waiting half an hour for a coffee ? It is not acceptable !

Went on mothers day so expecting a fairly mundane experience, however although the pub was very busy the service was excellent, there was a full menu as well . We all had different dishes and all were cooked to perfection. The added bonus was that the local beer was kept to perfection and unfortunately very drinkable . If we were in the area again we would definitely go back , there was lots on the menu I would love to try .

Had a great Sunday lunch after a long walk at Bridlington with our dog. Roast Lamb was excellent and Cooper enjoyed a little roast beef from my partner as well! Brilliant to see the same manager John after nearly ten years. Cassie our waitress was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Visitó el lunes 17 de junio en una fiesta de 7 . Fantástico servicio del hombre (lo siento, no vi su nombre) , la comida llegó rápido y estaba caliente y delicioso. A un precio razonable también. El menú infantil era de solo £ 5. 99 por 3 platos y podrían tener filete de rabadilla para principal. Uno de los niños con nosotros tenía el filete que estaba perfectamente cocinado. Gracias.

I have left a 5 star review as I don't want my review to affect your status. However, to the owner who sent out a member of his team to ask our kids not eat their ice creams whilst we were sat outside on the benches, this was incredibly mean spirited. As a group of 8 families, we spent over £400 in the couple of hours sat outside (on drinks and food). I could completely understand if we had turned up with sandwiches etc, but a couple of ice creams bought from the local ice cream parlour (the kids also had their own cokes etc)? As a regular visitors to Kettlewell, we will take our business elsewhere in future.

Llegó a La Vaca Marrón de camino a casa de una larga caminata encantadora! Estaba muy ocupado, pero tenemos una pequeña mesa y el perro era bienvenido! El personal era agradable y servicial! La comida era muy agradable y caliente, yo tenía la mitad de cada uno, así que sin duda recomendaría el pastel de carne para una comida de pub que era tan encantador! el pescado y patatas fritas también era genial, fresco y delicioso! pinta era bueno también! I got my grandparents a gift voucher for Christmas and they absolutely loved going to farmer copleys this is their review: “warm and friendly greeting by all staff, quick , personal and efficient service. Lovely food and hospitality!”. A big thank you to the lovely young lady who shows them both the bees and shared stories about the farm with them, it made their visit even more special and memorable:)

So pleased with our choice of where to stay. Went to a gig at the Grand Theatre and could literally have walked over and changed in the interval, it is that close! Discounted drinks if you show your theatre tickets too!!! Simon and the team were amazing, friendly and accommodating. They even serve the best Rums to name but 4 or 5!😂 The room was better than I had hoped, but I've reluctantly given 4 stars as some people would maybe expect more. The only other thing you'd need to consider would be where to park if driving, but not too far anyway. If I visit Leeds again, I already know where I'll be staying! For the price, it's a "no-brainer" well done again 👍

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, we both had the black and blue smashed burgers. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Wish we'd found this place in the first night of our visit to Skipton and not the last.

Booked last minute for four of us for Sunday lunch. One roast beef, one roast pork one chicken pie and one fish cakes. Followed by crème brûlée, key lime cheesecake and treacle sponge. Everything was delicious. The roast beef melted in your mouth and was all lean and plentiful. Pork was also lean and well cooked. We all said we will return.

Total random visit when myself and my partner was hungry on a cold and windy Sunday! The food was amazing value for the what you got and the two lovely ladies serving us were a delight! Would deffo go back when we in the area again! I had a cheese savoury and chips and my partner had a cheeseburger with chips! Food was lovely and so cheap!
