The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Been eating at Haworth Old Hall over the last 5 years when we visit Haworth. Why? The olde world feel of the place . The friendly and professional staff . The quality and variety of meals, excellent service and finally its value for money . Looking forward to our next visit .

Sarah was very attentive. The rest of the staff need to be trained by her. On booking to see if we could have a table the man wasn't, quite in the room

Really good place. Cheap drinks and great service from Daniels! Had a great night with friends. Definitely will be back soon!

Family meal. More bar staff needed and some did appear somewhat stressed. I ordered the rack of ribs, they tasted lovely but were no where near hot enough. Good JD sauce. The corn on the cobs were inedible, boiled within in an inch! My husband enjoyed his beef burger, but overall, for the price of food, it’s nothing special. Most of the party were just ‘erm, it was okay’. Good price on a bottle of red wine and the food came out as we ordered, we they wanted us to pay at the bar due to party size. Main male staff member greeting as we walked in was friendly.

Decent food, reasonably priced. Pleasant and friendly staff.Nice vegetarian options. My husband and I opted for the carvery. Our son had a burger. Would have visited again same week but we opted for a dog friendly establishment instead.

The beef and ale pie was burnt and really hard to cut worst pie I have ever eaten ,the mixed grill was very good chicken really dry ,fizzy coke was flat got a replacement but that wasn't any better then the pudding syrup sponge didn't taste of anything was horrible left it worse experience I have had will not be going back waste of my money

Great customer service great view and an all round great family pub cannot fault anything at all would definitely recommend to everyone I know

We recently had our wedding reception & meal at the fox and can’t praise this place enough. From the minute of booking the communication and service was beyond excellent, nothing was too much trouble! On the actual day the staff present upstairs in the function room were incredible, they were so friendly and happy and made sure everything ran so smooth. The food (we requested a Sunday dinner menu) was served in great portions and we had nothing but empty plates and amazing feedback from all our family members and the quality was just as good as it has been every time we have visited the fox. I honestly cannot praise the fox and each staff member enough, from multiple visits and especially the wedding reception from day one they made everything run so smooth, have been so helpful and so nice. Everyone felt immediately comfortable and at ease, the food and atmosphere was amazing and intimate, the servers were brilliant and again we have had nothing but great feedback from all our guests. Thankyou so much to the fox and all the staff from chefs to the managers and if you are looking for a place to hold any events - I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Quality service by harry, a great young man with a brilliant sense of humour! The Meat portions was amazing aswell considering most carvery places now a days have scrappy portions. Thank You Toby Oulton!

Recently visited the pear tree for a family meal. Had an excellent time, great service and the food was gorgeous. We all felt very attended to, and George was especially great with our children, who are usually very shy in these settings.

I have visited this Toby Carvery several times, on a recent visit, the serving area was disgusting food everywhere, remains of a Yorkshire Pudding in the queueing area no attempt by the kitchen staff to clean it up or straighten the serving area. The food and the service was good. Don't know why the Duty Manager did not details someone to clean the area, it does not look good. I know they were busy but that is no excuse.

This Toby carvery was spectacular the best one yet.We went here as a family and this is the most carvery I've ate magnificent.The staff wore polite and welcoming especially "Rachel"thank you for this 🍽dinner!

Breakfast - bacon, sausage, egg cold and hash brown was so greasy. Staff miserable and slow. Food sat on counter for ages.

What a shame. This place is clearly run down. Hygiene and housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. Food - edible but disappointing and certainly not as the pictures in the menu promise. We've been coming here for 15 years but this was the last time. A sign of this times i guess. This place needs serious investment to bring it to its former glory.
