Brewers Fayre Old Brickworks in Leeds

Visited Monday 17th June in a party of 7. Fantastic service from the man (sorry, I didn't see his name), food came quickly and was hot and delicious. Reasonably priced too. Children's menu was just £5.99 for 3 courses and they could have rump steak for main. One of the children with us had the steak which was perfectly cooked. Thank you.

The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my meal and had a very pleasant evening. Great venue.

Came here mainly to wear my twins out at the indoor play centre which they loved 😁 Abby was helpful and brilliant as always

Went here for lunch with friends and booked a table ahead. We were shown to a table in a dingy corner which had already been set. We asked if we could move to a table under a window - the waitress proceeded to remove the cutlery and serviettes from the table and plonked them down in the middle of the window table - so I had to set it myself. On a nearby table was a family with a young baby and all through our meal the waitress was chatting to this family and picking up the baby and walking about the restaurant with it - she was also joined by a male colleague who did the same. It distracted us from eating and I didn’t feel it acceptable behaviour by members of staff where other people were dining. The food however was acceptable for what it cost but it is unlikely we will return because of staff behaviour.

The service and ambience is excellent. Clean and accommodating, particularly of mention, Pushpa. Been coming for various meals and such for many years and will continue to use as excellent and convenient venue.

The service provided by Pushba is simply the best. Always smiling, friendly and happy to sort out any issues, she is simply the epitome of excellent customer service and the Old Brickworks are very fortunate to have her as an employee

One of a few places we like for an unplanned tea out. Friendly staff often still busy at tea time even after the meal deal has finished at 6pm. We often get a Shari g platter but discovered there are other meal deals on different days! It is suitable for families but imo in the bar area which we prefer conversations can get a bit leery for children - but that depends on your personal standards I suppose.

Visited today as a family of four with two kids, the food used to be good here but it’s massively gone down hill. The fajita burger looked like a child’s portion, the smallest soggy burger with a tiny bowl of chilli and about 8 nachos. I actually laughed when it arrived, £13 for that! The mixed grill wasn’t medium as requested and the kids pizza was the size of my palm. The tables and chairs are tatty and at £4.50 each on top for the play gym it made for a very expensive meal out for rubbish food. No one expects that much with a brewers fayre but come on at least lower your prices to reflect it. Oh and two of your waitresses collided knocking mayo on to the floor, one of them rolled her eyes. Said something sarcastic before flouncing off and leaving the other poor girl to scrape it off the carpet! Wont be returning.

Busy, short staffed, and amazing. Under the circumstances, it should have been a long wait grouchy staff, but it was completely the opposite. Well done guys you certainly put the customer 1st! Food was delicious!

I reviewed this place in the past and gave it 5 stars. Sadly, the level of care by staff and the quality of the food have deteriorated and it is now, in my view, better to avoid it. On entering the restaurant we were ignored by staff even though several were there. I had booked a table in the window; previously there had been two tables there but another able had been squeezed in so we were uncomfortably close to other diners. Ordering at the bar was not easy because the girl there could not understand basic English despite clearly being a local girl. We opted for the fish and chips, which were poor. The batter was wrinkly and the fish inside dry, while the chips were almost cold. The spoons for tea and coffee had not been properly cleaned and I had to go and ask for a clean spoon. One of the waitresses was very pleasant and it is because of her that my rating is 3 stars rather than the 2 stars which would have been well deserved. Sorry to see a place for which we had some affection go down like this. We won't be going again.

Quick service, nice kids play area we did not use this time. On the menu all pub classics and starters. Easy access, kind service.

From the moment we arrived there was issues. This was Christmas Day lunch and I would have guessed first sitting. We had been in before hand spoken to manager and explained that we had an autistic child with us who had severe melt downs and asked if it was possible to sit next to play area so if they got overwhelmed they could burn of energy. This was agreed, however she was not in and this information had not been passed over to staff on the day. Within 10 minutes the fire alarm went off without warning. One of the staff said it was a test, again would have been nice to have been warned, later they said it was not a test. Then they brought us an order for to redo our order as they had lost the one we sent into them. Then we’ll still eating our main course , they turned up with our desserts. Over all very bad experience, the food was not worth the cost we spent. There was a number of other customers who were not happy either. One of the managers said he would sort something out but vanished when we were leaving. Would have to say worse place for Christmas meal. Would not be going back here for any special event if ever go back. There lack of staff did not help. There was only two staff that seemed to help and one was the lady servicing the meats and the one manager. The other staff seemed to have not idea what was happening.

Friendly staff. Good service. Tasty pub food. Good value for money. It was very cold though, no heating on and we moved mid meal from an outside wall to a table further in. No time for a leisurely coffee needed the car to get warm again.

We’ve visited here twice this week. Breakfast and Sunday lunch for 9 of us. Breakfast I have to say was one of the worst I’ve had. I chose the all you can eat continental. The only problem was for £7.99 there was not much to eat at all. Some cold dry croissants , 2 pancakes, some bread and 2 muffins. No yoghurts and fruit salad was chopped apple and orange. No staff to help. No cutlery, really poor. Sunday was a 3 course festive menu. No pate left, Christmas dinner was turkey with hard or mushy veg depending on what u got and soft roast potatoes. Ordered sherry trifle Sunday which sounded lovely but was awful. Hard to decipher what was what as all mushed together. No taste if sherry and the fruits were obviously a frozen mixed fruit which were very very sour. Couldn’t eat it. All in all very disappointing for the 9 of us.
