The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

We recently organised a company event over two days at the Wheatly Arms. We were really impressed with the level of service we received, from the initial booking of the venue to the helpful service over the course of two days, ensuring everything ran smoothly. We were also very happy with the choice and standard of food and rooms too. We wouldn’t hesitate to use the hotel again for corporate events and meetings and thank all management and staff for their attentiveness.

Had a lovely lunch here with family. Excellent service and very friendly.

Just a pint, which was good, can't say much about the place

The Blue Bell looks so welcoming now, with lots of twinkly lights and beautiful planting outside. It’s a really spacious pub, yet feels very cosy inside, great atmosphere for Christmas parties. Our Sunday lunches were excellent. Really interesting starters, usual selection of roasts cooked well, with beautifully cooked veg. It was great to have the choice of market fish of the day for the non meat eater in our party. The staff were all very friendly and were working hard to look after everyone. Would highly recommend . Our only comment is the kitchen doorbell was a bit loud 😆

Fab place to eat, carvery, drink and meet up with friends and family. Great value.

Do a really good breakfast. Usually very busy but food comes quite quickly.

It is a decent pub but takes forever to get served. It took around 20 minutes to get one pint. They made everyone line up around one side of the bar which made no sense at all. If they had of served people from all sides of the bar it wouldn't be an issue.

Drinks are cheaper than anywhere that I know off. Food on the other hand I think is over priced for what you get. Seems busy even during the week days which is good.

Food o.k, drinks fairly priced...decent all round. Budweiser on draught...bonus!

Haven't had gammon that good in a while. It was cooked to perfection. The ladies behind the bar were lovely and made me feel very welcome. Looking forward to my next visit

Wow popped in today with a friend for a light lunch and we were both very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It was delicious! I had salt and pepper chicken with a side of chips and it was the best salt and pepper chicken I have ever had!! And I am one fussy food eater! The chap who brought the food to our table was friendly, polite and professional. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Lovely place to relax with the dogs going to take mum in there for Christmas lunch

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Very family friendly environment. The food is amazing and they have great gluten free options. They have a great kids menu and they kids food is great portions sizes.
