Enjoyed our night out here , lovely atmosphere, and the food was amazing highly recommend this place to anyone nice little gem

This was our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last! Looks just like any country pub from outside and not that big.. but upon entering it’s a beautiful setting with full bar , warm smiles from staff,we place our drinks order at the bar and then showed to our booked table. I was impressed so had a look round and there were a bar, restaurant, barista area and a room for private dinners.. Menu had a good choice of food, we were asked if we had any aliagies, I had fish & chips, peas, rest of us had liver!! Now the came out and it was a plateful. Hubby said the liver was amazing and so tasty.. I couldn’t managed all mine, again it was huge. Lots of side vey to go with the liver. We had a break but then managed to have deserts.. rice pudding and meringue with fruits and ice cream.. All made with good quality ingredients, you can just taste the difference. Can’t wait to return. Great place and chef, to staff were lovely.

We booked here for dinner to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Booking could be easier, you can’t book online and if they are closed it can prove tricky. That said, when I did get through, they were very helpful and we were happy with our booking time. We had only been for Sunday Lunch previously, but the Dinner Menu had good choices, leaving me undecided for a while before I went for the 10oz Sirloin with cep & black garlic butter, rocket & Parmesan salad and handcut chips. My wife had Korean Spiced Chicken with Jasmine rice. There was plenty to eat. My appetite isn’t massive so I couldn’t polish it off, but the staff boxed it up and I had a repeat the following day!!! Service was attentive, but not in-your-face, just the right level of service. The food was exceptional. And hot!!! Often when dining from an intricate menu, the food sits under lights while the plate is being prepared, and sometimes food is only warm when it arrives, but not in this case. And that rates highly for me!! I would have loved to be able to demolish the obligatory STP, but I really had no room for dessert. Well worth a visit for a special occasion, or if your bank balance allows for your regular evening meal!!! We enjoyed it very much and won’t hesitate to go back.

Absolutely beautiful food, Excellent service and a menu that you just can’t decide on what to have because it all superb. It was my birthday so they brought pudding with a candle then cake & sang happy birthday twice.

We come to ‘the Welly’ quite regularly, sometimes as a family, sometimes just me and my 80-something Dad, and this time as a couple. It never fails. Consistently excellent food and service, and lovely wine, great ambience. Sit in the restaurant for a bit more of a special ambience, or in the bar at lunch time for a more cosy pub feel.

Very efficient and pleasant staff plus the pub has a nice decor. Very overpriced food with a limited menu which tries too hard to be upmarket. Average sirloin steak for £33 and a glass of wine £9. We really don’t mind paying for a 5* meal ,and often do, but we were left feeling ripped off.

We have been here a few times and it's always brilliant. The food the staff and the ambience are second to none. We brought our 2 grandsons here for a meal to celebrate their 18th birthdays They really enjoyed everything. The staff sang happy Birthday to them which they thought was lovely and when they got their desserts it said happy 18th on their plate such a lovely touch .this place is always first class .

Was really looking forward to this Anniversary meal after reading the reviews and having a friend recommend. All I can say is - disappointed . The Service was good and efficient but not over friendly . The food was average at best unfortunately. The beef was very very rare to the point where neither of us could eat it . We had opted out of starters as we usually prefer sweets but we decided not to have them as didn’t really like the choices even though we had looked at them before our visit. We just expected more . Will not be returning

This charming pub really stands out from the rest locally with its wonderful ambience, friendly and prompt service, and thoroughly delicious food, complimented by quality ales and fine wines. Spacious tables and classy surroundings also ensure the dining experience is always first class.

Went for Sunday Lunch in a party of 9. We got given the private room which was wonderful. Had to pre-order, but that's not a problem to make sure that no-one misses out. Had 3 courses of excellent food. The scallops and beef were 1st class and the Rhubarb compote was a brilliant end to the meal. It's not cheap and the car park is a bit of a nightmare , but the meal itself was the best Sunday lunch I've had in a long time. Special shout to the service staff who were friendly as helpful as they could possibly have been.

Went for my great-aunt’s belated 90th birthday and was blown away by the quality of the food and reception. Food was absolutely delicious. We had a number of dietary requirements and the staff were fantastic at accommodating us with alternatives. Lovely, friendly atmosphere. I will definitely go again.

Its our first visit since lockdown ended and the starter and main courses were delightful. Fresh ingredients, well prepared and served and all at reasonable prices. Its not cheap but you get real value with all the high quality ingredients and excellent preparation

We LOVE this place, never enough time to visit in normal circumstances, so whilst we had the chance to eat and enjoy ...... We grabbed it!!! Xmas eve take away was our first treat and OMG blown away!!! We missed the ambiance of the restaurant, but on the upper hand no arguments who had to drive! All 4 of us enjoyed the most delicious cuisine! Everything tasted amazing and I have to admit when it came to New Years eve and selecting more dishes, so hard to choose.Russ and Sarah have worked so hard, they deserve amazing feedback! Despite been so busy they pulled together our order and delivered on time and to an amazing standard! I cannot suggest a dish to try as everything is gorgeous! We cannot thank you enough for brightening our days whilst experiencing another episode of lockdown!!! We are looking forward to another weekend treat very soon! THANK YOU

Looking for an indulgent night in with five star food? Then look no further than this great pub in an idyllic Yorkshire village... The choice of chilled to heat mains are generous in size, good value for money and delicious! If you are really hungry you could choose one of the fabulous range of starters and ....still hungry?? Why not take away a sumptuous desert.. Covid safe collection...ready on time and absolutely delicious. All you need to do is call and collect

Popped in for lunch with my folks, not been here in years and it’s still as great as always, good covid measures, great selection of beers, floored to see Beavertown on tap, knew it was going to be a great time seeing that, menu had a great selection, girlfriend and dad had the belly pork, said it was lovely, mother had the Beef Bourguignon, wolfed it down and I had the stroganoff, hands down the best I ever had, pudding selection was good, gin cheesecake is the future, Dad got the cheese selection, loved the fact that they were all numbered to match the sheet so you knew what you were eating, overall a great lunch and I really wish I lived in the village

First outing since lockdown and what a treat. All very safe, lots of sanitisers, foot pull doors and all staff wearing masks. Food excellent as always, three generations and something to suit everyone, puddings amazing as usual. Can not recommend highly enough.

A long awaited return to this excellent restaurant, arriving to find exemplary protocols followed by a familiar, well sourced menu.The scallop & black pudding starter was outstanding followed by the Thermidor and Beef. Rounded with a Peach Melba and Sticky Toffee pudding we left reflecting on a superb meal. Pleasing to see the restaurant full, and clearly thriving in an adapted environment

It was good to return to this lovely old characterful inn after the closure enforced by covid 19. The staff were well prepared and welcoming. The food as usual was of a high standard and offered local produce. This was a birthday dinner on September 3rd with my husband.

The menu does not change very much but what they offer is to a consistently high standard. They have adapted the new restrictions in a way that makes you feel confident

Absolutely brilliant - we have experienced Wellington Inn at home - Self isolating - the choices and “How to cook” couldn’t be easier ! We have enjoyed a Welly at Home - made the last 12 weeks a very special experience we would never have had ! Been wonderful to arrange meals as gifts for the family Birthdays - when we couldn’t be together ! The fish cakes , Confit Duck / Seafood Thermidor and Gin and tonic cheesecake / rice pudding are Incredible !

We have just experienced the Best Ever Dinner from the Welly Inn - incredible .... our third meal in 3 weeks - we thought it couldn’t get better - but it did !!!! Heaven on a plate ! Thankyou for making our evenings so special - in our own Home !!!!! John and Jayne

The Wellington staff have scored full marks again! Just collected a range of delicious dishes and been so impressed by the menu, the instructions which are simple and easy and the quality and quantity of each dish. Collecting couldn't be simpler and safer. Quality and value first class. We'll be ordering again soon.

I was brought to the Wellington as a treat by a couple of friends who come fairly regularly. They'd mentioned a few dishes on the menu , the haddock scotch egg was the biggest surprise which was a taste sensation , truly delicious. I also sampled my friends liver dish which was beautiful and cooked perfectly . The fish n chips ordered by the rest of us was was equally delicious . We were too full for dessert. Service was good from a plethora of delightful , if slighlty dippy young ladies , and even the owner showed his face , who came over as a trifle brusk , but the food made up for it !

Just taken delivery of new car, modest celebration, what better than break our journey.Not busy, but self ordering at the bar made drinks and, menu choices easy. Both decided on Liver with bacon and mash, both agreed excellent. Never enough room for the mouth watering “puds” on the board, nice end to a very pleasant day.

We booked for our silver anniversary meal to be told we would receive a “call back in 10 minutes”. They did not call us back so we phoned them to ensure we were booked in only to be told “we tried to call you but there was no answer”. Mobile phones indicate a missed call so that excuse is void these days darlings. Then they told us we couldn’t be accommodated? As I say we do fine here and usually it’s good but on this occasion we are let down unfortunately.

We’ve been to The Wellington Inn a few times before, having travelled from Twickenham to visit family and once again, it was superb food in a lovely warm pub. Great service by friendly staff and a great new gin variety, thank goodness dry January was over! Great value and huge portions, the halibut was excellent. Only downside was the ‘bloke’ who thought that laughing very loudly at his own unfunny jokes was a real pain - but probably a regular! No further comment.

We were fortunate to secure a Saturday evening booking at short notice due to a cancellation.Very much a repeat visit but earlier ones have often been for Sunday lunches. We were welcomed with customary warmth before taking a loveky cosy and private table opposite the log burner at the rear of the bar. Perfect for what we wanted. Our food choice proved perfect. Starters were smoked haddock scotch egg with black pudding, and aged beef in Asian sauce with a delicious salad. Both were excellent. Mains included calves liver ~ beautifully tender - and a mouthwatering mixed fish dish with basmati rice.We shared an interesting and widely varied 5 cheese board before finishing with loveky straightforward coffee.A perfect evening!

Very good food and an excellent wine list. We were a party of 5. Both the starter and the main course were very nice, and the portion size was very generous, so nobody felt able to have a desert. We have been here for dinner a number of times, and if anything this place keeps improving. A destination worth travelling to.

I thought I was playing safe by ordering a 10oz sirloin steak. I know my steak, and that one was way less than 10oz. It wasn't very tender. Too thin as well. I ordered it blue, so arguing that it lost significant weight in the cooking wont wash. As the title says, not impressed at the price.

We popped in last night the 4 of us for a meal, having not been here before we didn’t know what to expect. The pub is very warm and welcoming, we where shown to our table BONUS next to the fire! We ordered and the food came promptly and wow was it good! The food was absolutely amazing halibut cooked to perfection, liver cooked nicely so as not gone tough and the chicken was succulent and tasty. The cheeses for deserts where Out if this world and the presentation on the plate with the numbers and descriptions where very ingenious! Kara or Carla our waitress was lovely, helpful and attentive to our needs even helping us sort out which character was which on game of thrones! All in all a really lovely night to be had i would definitely recommend to anyone! Thank you Team wellington

Been many times for lunch and dinner as a couple and with family. Food and service always good. Can be pricey for a quick lunch - but soup and sandwiches very good value.

We went for lunch today at the wellington inn, at Lund.. Can not recommend it more. The staff was very obliging and the meal was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely and we was made to feel welcome. We all had a sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection. all ready planning our next visit.

A new venue for us, lovely friendly reception, obviously a busy place. The food was really well presented and very enjoyable. Would certainly visit again.

I had seafood in Thermidor sauce. Daughter had fish and chips. All good. Beer very good. Food tasty and hot. Would highly recommend.

Arrived on a busy Saturday and were met by a friendly landlord who managed to fit us in for lunch and I'm glad he did. Food superb with the deserts being the highlight. They even swapped out the brioche bun for proper brown bread on the fish finger butty.

We went with friends who live locally. It was excellent from arrival to leaving. Friendly atmosphere and service at the table was very good. Good choices on menu and everyone’s meal was excellent. Good wine list too. Nice atmosphere and despite being busy we could all hear each other. I would advise booking a table. Nice place we will request to go again next time we visit Yorkshire

Not booked, but friendly staff soon found a table. Skipped starters on this occasion, order for small and, large fish and chips soon produced. Crispy fish and, nicely browned chips cooked to perfection. No room for puds, but coffee with amereto cookies,rounded off, yet another pleasent visit.

I visited the Wellington Inn on a balmy Friday evening with my parents and sisters - a long overdue family get together! We loved our evening. Great service, delicious food, lovely dining room - we’ll be back!

We took a friend out to the Wellington to celebrate his birthday. What is remarkable is that every time we have visited, the cooking here really seems to have moved up a gear. All the dishes were very well designed and executed, with ingredients that combined together very coherently. (This latter aspect being actually unlike our experience of certain other gastropubs we have sampled with more pretentious accolades, but no names, no pack drill.) So a very warm recommendation.

This is a pub but the food is so much better than the usual pub food. Imaginative menu with seasonal food. Worth going out of your way to eat here. Try the haddock scotch eggs, delicious and the rice pudding is to die for. Sadly we live 150 miles away but did manage to eat two out of the three evenings we were in Yorkshire.

Called in for a coffee. I ordered a cappuccino which was actually served in what looked like a small teacup. At £3.25 I felt ripped off.

My wife and I ate here on a Friday after a country walk. We made it just before they stopped serving food at 2pm. We both ordered a sandwich and chips and both our orders were really tasty. We chose from a an extensive and imaginative (my roast beef sandwich had dill pickle, sauerkraut and Russian dressing) menu on a large blackboard. Service was quick and the chips were hot.

We booked a table for our anniversary meal. Didn't expect any extras, however nice touch would be if someone would mention it, at least. Was bit confused , when walk in as there is no reception and if you dine a first time, you don't know where to go and have to wait till be seated , as a bartender priorities bar guests. Very lovely interior designs and a cosy atmosphere. Clean and looked after dining hall. Food was good quality, but nothing exceptional . My partner had chicken and said it was bit on a raw side. I had pasta and really enjoyed it. Deserts are quite average. Overall experience is good, but always feel rushed, however it states on the website you have all time you need to enjoy. We been asked do we want anything else after we finished desert and despite we still had a glass of wine each ( quite expensive though) waitress brought us a bill not even asked for ! I found it extremely rude. I know , it's a restaurant business and our table was given straight away after we left, but 40minutes for a three course meal, sounds more like a fast food.

The starters were good. The main course of steak served with half a tomato, 2 onion rings and a bucket of brown soggy chips which were raw in the middle was disappointing. Did not think it was very good value for money. Good service.

Met here for my aunties birthday. I found the atmosphere to be great, full of families. We had the Sunday lunch, it was lovely and hot, something which you dont find often with Sunday lunch anymore. Will defiantly be back

This place just gets better. A Friday night was busy, but the waiting staffs' timing was impeccable and the food spot on. I started with moules mariniere supplied with a foil wrapped damp napkin - just the job for sticky fingers, and carried on the fishy theme with a melange of salmon, haddock and other delights served in the most delicious creamy sauce and accompanied by a portion of beautifully judged rice. No room for puds alas but they looked good. A lovely cosy friendly evening and food to swoon over.

Having been to the Wellington Inn a few weeks earlier with friends for the first time and having really enjoyed the food I decided to take the family for a treat.

A lovely,friendly country pub with a homely atmosphere and exceptional food. The staff are welcoming and efficient, and the menu suits all tastes. It's not the cheapest place to eat ,but it's certainly value for money because the quality is always memorable and excellent.

Went here today with friends for Sunday lunch and it was very very good. I was a bit apprehensive that the prices were high but for the service and quality of food I was well prepared to pay their prices. I had previously phoned up the pub as I wanted salmon for my dinner but not what they had on the menu (it came with a mild curry infused rice with prawns, I hate curry) she said it was not a problem how would I like it prepared? I asked for a simple salmon with hollandaise sauce and veg, “no problem she said” that scored points straight away before we even got there. When we arrived we got a warm welcome from the staff and after getting drinks were shown straight away to our table which was in a lovely cosy separate room at the side, we were a party of 9 and the pub had asked us to preorder when we rang to book the table so we got our starters straight away after being greeted by a very nice lady who was enquiring about one of our party that wanted a vegetarian option meal, nothing was too much for them to make her a great meal. The whole meal was a lovely eating experience and we were impressed with the excellent service that we got from all the staff every plate was clean when people had finished so that speaks for itself.

We booked a table at the Wellington Inn for Sunday lunch. Strange that we had to order our food at the bar yet our drinks order was taken at the table. Three out of four of us had haddock goujon starter, which really is a foot long strip of battered haddock. I had poached pear, pecan and blue cheese salad; a lot of leaves but I was slightly disappointed that I had to look around the dish for the pear and pecans. Two of us had generously portioned roast dinners. We also enjoyed the salmon and curried prawn risotto and the seafood thermidor. Both very tasty. For dessert we had rhubarb tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding.

The Welly is my mums favourite place to go so we treated her for her birthday. I had never been before but had heard some great things so was really looking forwards to it.

What a fabulous evening we had last night at The Wellington. A warm welcome to a cosy bar, attentive but unintrusive service, delicious food in the lovely restaurant, I couldn’t fault it at all, would highly recommend.

We came here with some of my family members to celebrate my birthday. It was a truly amazing night. Staff absolutely fantastic at the front of house very professional and helpful with my son. Couldn’t fault the food it was absolutely delicious we all loved it so much. We will be back to experience Sunday lunch. A bit of a drive for us but well worth it. Thank you for making my birthday a lovely night to remember.

This really is a lovely traditional country pub it got lots of individual dining areas so it never feels crowded - we arrived to lovely open fires and a warm welcome from Russ the landlord. The Timothy Taylors is always superb here and the menu is extensive. I chose Scallops served on Black Pudding, a really good combination, beautifully prepared and as always a generous portion. For main I chose the Mixed Fish Thermidor served with Basmati Rice - absolutely delicious - beautifully cooked and again a most generous portion. My wife had the Liver, which she said was cooked perfectly and again a most generous helping. I finished with the equally delicious Cherry View Milk Vanilla rice pudding with a Rhubarb and Ginger marmalade. Coffee was served with the most delicious, slightly squidgy home made Macaroons. This was an absolutely excellent meal, no wonder they are always so busy, the food and service are consistently top rate and Sarah and Ruiss and all the team must be congratulated on running one of the very best restaurants around a real Five Star Plus venue

A very enjoyable dinner on a Saturday night for us. The food really is very, very good and certainly worthy of mention in the Michelin Guide. The pub itself, and the dining room in particular, provided a great ambience for celebrating my wife's birthday.

We met some friends for lunch they were well booked up , so they could not book us in until 1,30pm. The meal was excellent, especially the calf liver and the haddock and home made chips. The sweets were excellent also. The only let down was the heating went off about 2.15pm and the place became cold. Some ladies on a table in the corner had to put their coats on . We had not been here for a meal for a couple of years but we will be back shortly

We enjoyed a fabulous meal here at the Welly last week, everyone’s meals were cooked to perfection. Our main courses were halibut, fish, chicken parcels and a rib eye steak.

A gorgeous little village pub set in the heart of Lund. Fabulously delicious food, friendly and welcoming service. Booking advisable as it does get busy.

We were looking forward to this meal as we had heard good stuff about it. We were given the menus by one of the waiters in a very surly manner, no greetings or welcome. He returned later to take our orders and again no friendly manner at all. My husband then quipped "can we have a smile?" . He then took great offence and leaned into my husband menacingly and said "Do you want to eat here?" Trust me all 4 of us were gobsmacked. My husband immediately apologized if he had upset him. We would have left if there was another pub in the vicinity. The meal was completely spoiled . The food was good but we were completely on edge in case this guy returned, heaven forbid if he was to serve us.Now I realize completely what a good maitre de is. This man made Basil Fawlty more like Walt Disney. Whatever you do don't expect any welcoming smile or friendliness. By the way our other guests had regularly ate here so were not strangers. No Michelin stars from us.

Attempted to have lunch yesterday after 1.5 hours drive only to be told after entering the bar, sorry no food available, lunch is advertised as serving until 2.00pm so sorry unable to give any rating

We were looking for somewhere that offered more than the usual pub food and we were not disappointed. Arriving for lunch we were warmly welcomed, and the service throughout was excellent . The Wellington has a good selection of beer and wine and a blackboard menu offering locally inspired dishes .We both opted for one of the specials.....scallops with black pudding and chorizo , which we greatly enjoyed. It will definitely be somewhere that we will revisit .

A friend who is local and knows this gorgeous pub well, took us for dinner here when we visited her. The interior is clean, cosy and comfortable- there are so many different rooms to find somewhere to settle in, it's a proper British pub!

This was our choice to entertain guests to our wedding earlier in the day! We booked the ante room which afforded privacy for our party of eight and was a perfect evening. I admit this is one of our favourite restaurants because the high quality and standards of this little gem can always be relied upon to deliver the very best. The Owner and his staff offer first class attention and deliver superbly. The menu varies but always offers an interesting choice of well cooked, freshly prepared dishes.

Went to the Wellie inn, to treat friends to a meal, and as usual we weren't disappointed, the food was of a really good standard, and everyone enjoyed their meals, service was quick and the atmosphere was really good. we will return.

This cosy friendly restaurant never fails to please. Armed with a large glass of crisp and delicious local rose wine I perused the menu, the only problem being I wanted it all. There was something to suit the 3 generations of family and they had similar difficulties. I opted for scallops with black pudding, followed by a second starter, knowing I had to have a pud. This was a cod goujon accompanied by a delicate potato salad infused with capers.The crowning glory: a light as a feather pistachio cheesecake accompanied by creamy pistachio icecream encased in white chocolate and a sprinkling of nuts. Yum yum! We all enjoyed our meal immensly and as ever the service was spot-on.

We visited this lovely village pub last Thursday as 2 couples and had a very pleasant evening. We had booked a table in the restaurant a week earlier. On arrival we had drinks in the bar and selected our meals from the menu before being taken to our table. We were brought very tasty warm bread which I'm guessing was home made. I had the haddock goujon for starter, the sea trout as main and a very tasty filling home made rice pudding. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive and the cost was very reasonable. My 3 course meal with a pint of beer in the bar, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc with my meal and a coffee to finish was about £40. The pub is easy to find and has its own car park. We shall certainly be returning and I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

My wife and I returned here for the first time in 5 years on a trip to the UK from Australia. The last time we went there I was with my Mother and my 88 year old Aunt and sadly this time my Mother is no longer with us but it was a thrill to take my 93 year old Aunt again.

We haven't been here for a good while so decided to have drive out and give it a try. I must admit i was a little concerned that when we arrived it was empty, then with some relief realised it had only opened up two minutes beforehand. They offer an excellent menu, with some really tasty looking offerings, however we both plumbed for the haddock and chips. The food was delicious and we will certainly be going back sooner rather than later!

This venue has long been a favourite of ours but on this repeat visit they simply knocked the ball out of the park! Every plate was cleared with each of our four diners full of praise for both the concept and execution of the dish.

Family meal last night. The only restaurant we regularly make the five hour round trip for and so worth it. Very tasty well cooked food. Creative menu. I had calves liver with an onion and blue cheese pancake. Beautiful, All meals well presented. Efficient and polite waitresses. Prompt but not rushed service. Homemade desserts to die for . Dreamy rice pudding. Very creamy huge portion. Looking forward to returning for a family celebration in a few weeks time.

Dropped in here for lunch on a Thursday on the way up North - should say that it was a pre-picked stop as this is well of any beaten path. Did wonder if there were any other patrons but once inside! not full but certainly well on the way. Beer well presented and a good range but the food selection was supreme. All on one chalkboard - would have preferred a menu as there was quite a queue to view the fare. We both elected to have soup and a half sandwich - yes, a half sandwich from the extensive list on offer. Such a good idea as a full sandwich with the soup would have been just too much.

Really had a lovely time here, meals were cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was lovely , we had the fish goujons and steaks and it has to be one of the best meals I’ve had, lovely

Had an excellent lunch here ,best risotto I have tasted,serves very good wine,staff friendly and efficient.A little more expensive than some places,but well worth it.

Great food, fantastic roast beef dinner ! Such a popular place that it’s essential that you book well in advance.

What can I say. Stayed in Beverley and travelled by taxi to the Wellington Ainsworth in Lund for a friends birthday meal. We had not been there before and so impressed, it is in a country location, but worth the visit. The meal menu was so extensive and with eight people on the table we all went for different choices, not disappointed. So worth a visit, but book so as not to be disappointed as really busy

I booked a 7 30 pm table several weeks ago, we eventually got some food about 8 45. Not happy, not good enough. Why bother to book? Food was good. is dark and no outside space so not great for eating in fine weather

My wife and I visited the Wellington for the first time with friends and it will not be the last time. Located in the beautiful village of Lund, the Wellington stands quietly modestly in the middle of the village but once you enter you immediately realise this could be special. A warm old world charm grips you and the small rooms emit a cosy feeling .The staff are more than friendly and very attentive and professional. The menu is varied and interesting, and the food excellent- we had a mix of steaks/ Liver/ Monkfish and Pasta -all the meals were excellent. We would recommend this establishment to everyone who values good food with good service in a pub that oozes quality and traditional ambience.

We’ve known about this place for a number of years but never managed to visit. Four of us visited one Friday evening and had three courses. Food was excellent and at a price we thought was reasonable. Certainly the quality of food was as good as we’ve eaten anywhere. Service was excellent. We will definitely come back.

We took visiting friends to eat atvthe Wellington last night. From the moment we walked in until we paid the bill and left the service was impeccable, the staff were well-trained, pleasant and courteous and the food was wonderful. Our friends were deeply impressed and we were proud that we have such a good establishment near at hand. Can't speak highly enough of the whole experience.

This place feels old-fashioned. But in a very good way.

nothing wrong with the meal (apart from the stuffing which was very overpowering) but we just be grudged paying £14.50/ £14.95 for Sunday roasts that are "OK".
