Nos gustaría agradecer a Rohit, Anjana y el personal del restaurante Azafrán por hacernos sentir tan bienvenidos el viernes por la noche. El ambiente era perfecto y tuvimos una mesa tranquila encantadora en el cálido y cómodo restaurante de la sala de jardín. Todos disfrutamos mucho de la comida y el servicio fue excelente, esperando volver a visitarlo.

Great choice for a family meal as part of a Dales mini-break. Superb welcome from Paul, fabulous food prepared by pam - all in a wonderfully designed restaurant. If you are staying in or near Hawes, this is a definitely a restaurant to experience...

Very enjoyable tour at the creamery factory, very informative teacher while showing the process of making cheese. Lots of cheese sampling and the onsite cafe has great choices of food and drinks.

Excellent takeaway haddock and chips, very fresh fish and cooked to order. Excellent dry and crispy chips and batter and a load of tasty scraps thrown in too. Friendly staff and fair value. Will certainly be back again if in the area.

Llamé con amigos durante su estancia en Hawes. En general estaba bien, aunque el café nos pareció un poco decepcionante. Tarta y queso OK, bollo OK pero nada destacó realmente para hacernos considerar una revisión de 4 estrellas. El personal amable pero el lugar no es dog friendly, lo que es decepcionante cuando hay zona soporta un gran número de turistas y paseantes que traen perros.

Para nuestra primera vez, este es un maravilloso salón de té con agradables anfitriones que son cálidos y acogedores. Trajo a nuestros 2 perros con nosotros que fueron recibidos y se les dieron golosinas de cortesía y un tazón de agua. La comida era excepcional, la sopa casera era la mejor que he probado y la baguette era suave y deliciosa. Los bollos estaban calientes y esponjosos. Desafiantemente será de vuelta la calidad y el precio que no puede fallar.

We booked and traveled across for food and for tour and experience. Little disappointed when they said the Yorkshire wrap was sold out at 12 in the afternoon and never said anything about a Sunday roast to see it being brought out after we ordered other stuff, kinda like a roast on a Sunday. Besides that it was okay.

We stayed at the B&B. Perfect stop before resuming our much (covid) delayed Pennine way walk. Friendly, welcoming host, comfortable room with great views, great breakfast, will stay again if we're back in Hawes.

Mi compañero y yo nos topamos con este café un frío lunes por la mañana y nos dejó boquiabiertos. Nuestros desayunos veganos estaban allí con lo mejor que hemos tenido. Porciones grandes y cocinadas a la perfección. Nuestros cafés eran excelentes, así como nuestras delicias dulces. Había un montón de veganos para elegir. El servicio fue cálido y amable. No podíamos fallar nada. Sin duda volveremos cuando estemos en la zona de nuevo.

After reading great reviews I called in here on Monday March 27 2023 looking for lunch. Very pleasant and polite member of staff informed me that the restaurant is no longer open to serve daytime meals since they shut at the the end of last season

Cheerful welcome on the evening we arrived in Hawes. Our lad had a full meal and we had two small plates which were very tasty and good value. I had an excellent pint of Wensleydale Gamekeeper. Sat in front of roaring fire.

We stayed one night and had dinner and breakfast. It's a lovely old inn, famous for the spectacular waterfall round the back. Very olde world atmosphere inside the pub, but the accommodation looks brand new with a huge TV screen in our room and a very good shower. There's an extensive menu, I think booking a table would be essential almost year-round because it's very popular. A few quibbles: the housekeeping was not great - dusty room and the stairs up to the rooms hadn't been hoovered all year by the look of it. The bar staff were battling valiantly but they were obviously understaffed with a few people trying to check in guests, serve bar, take food orders and serve food all at the same time. Not a great amount choice for vegetarians but the meat dishes were good and breakfast was fine.

Encantadora cafetería / restaurante, el personal era maravilloso y no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros. Hicieron un plato especial para mí, ya que tengo restricciones alimentarias y fueron muy amables y muy divertidos. Me encanta este lugar y no puedo recomendarlo lo suficientemente alto, la comida es realmente deliciosa. Gran café también, volveremos lo antes posible.

Ok for a coffee but the staff were terrified of any customers. Not allowed to use the toilet. Long wait for coffee. Shouted at to wear masks we were already wearing. Seemed paralysed by fear - I would avoid even trying to sit inside. They were happy for people to sit outside. Though it was raining hard. Such a shame as a delightful village and would have been a nice break from our walk.
