¡Gracias!

Called in for Breakfast with family, we haven't been for a while as we live out of the area. Staff were welcoming, ordered 3 breakfasts all I managed to eat on kine was the scrambled egg and bacon.. The sausage was warm and possibly been cooked and just reheated, th mushrooms looked like they hadn't been cooked at all the black pudding was raw, for £43 I expected better only 1 out of our group of 3 ate it all.. Always pop in when we are visiting but I won't be having food if we come again I'll stick with the coffee and cake.

A friend and I arrived for a light lunch. We ordered two tuna mayo and cheese paninis. We didn’t have to wait long to order, it is reasonably priced, and the food arrived fairly quickly. Unfortunately, they had got our order wrong and served us ham and cheese paninis instead (accompanied by a lovely fresh side salad). We politely notified them of the error and were happy to wait for it to be rectified… we understand that mistakes happen and we weren’t in a rush. Shortly after another customer approached us to say that she hoped we weren’t vegetarian because they were just picking out the ham from the paninis with their fingers (which we saw with our own eyes all whilst not wearing gloves). The tuna filling was then loaded into the already toasted paninis and put back in the grill! These would have been served to us again! My friend and I felt a bit awkward at this point and decided to ask for our money back and go somewhere else. We approached the counter and after explaining what we’d seen, politely asked them to cancel our order. The lady said she’d make us some fresh ones, so not wanting to make an even bigger fuss, we decided to stay. When the fresh paninis arrived, they were cold in the middle and the cheese hadn’t melted. I’d never been here before but after this disappointing experience I won’t be going back.

Called in for a meal. Server was a bit abrupt and edging on rude as she tutted about customers coming in. Not very professional. Ordered cheeseburger and chips, can't go wrong, classic pub grub we thought. The portion was generous. Dived straight in as was hungry. Unfortunately the chips were skinny fries, and tasted very greasy. Needed extra salt and vinegar to kill the taste. The burger wasn't much better, the cheese had melted to the bread bun and was congealed.... quite disgusting. No salad in the bun itself but a 'side salad' consisting of scabby lettuce, cherry tomato and a few squares of pepper and onion. Needless to say, we didn't finish our meals. This pub could be so much better if it had an atmosphere, polite happy server and thought ' quality over quantity ' with regards their food.

A warm and clean pub that was a delight to visit. Myself and wife met some friends for breakfast and coffee and after 2 years we WILL be returning…. We were greeted by a warm, friendly and helpful young bartender who explained how the new coffee machines worked and nothing seemed too much trouble. Once seated we were greeted by a very polite young server who brought our breakfasts and even returned to ask was everything ok with our food ( this doesn’t happen in many places nowadays). I made a note of both girls names and thank you Abby & Sasha as I’ll be emailing head office with praise for you both. Thank you for welcoming us into the white horse!!

What a shock! We have been to the garden centre restaurant a few times, mainly for cake and coffee. Today we unfortunately ordered scampi. When delivered to our table we were informed they hadn't had any tartare sauce for a week. Seemed odd as I'm sure someone in Brigg would sell it. The food was frozen chips, frozen scampi and frozen peas. No salad garnish. It looked as unappetising as it tasted. It was too dry to eat. Barely fit for digestion. I will never go back as this awful plate of food was over priced too. I do hope they get their act together as this place is heaving most of the time during summer, and around the run up to Christmas. I will not be eating here again. I doubt if they care though as the bus loads will keep turning up no matter what, while they keep taking the money.
