Visited for Sunday lunch as we were staying nearby , the food was carvery style served to us at our table.Really good value for money , friendly staff we felt safe and comfortable. The restaurant was separate to the actual pub and quite busy think a lot of regulars were there which I think is a really good sign for good food. We Would return if ever in the area.

As said, we wanted a bit of a special treat after being shut down for so long. We couldn't have chosen better. Very welcoming staff, exciting choice of food which turned out to be superb. The chef introduced himself at the end of the meal, he was very enthusiastic about his food and so he should be. A meal to truly savour

Live locally but never been so thought wed give the pub a go as always looked warm and inviting from the outside. Far from it. Once inside the pub lacked any atmosphere and looked scruffy with black striped warning tape stuck all over seating, which had seen better days. Although lady behind bar seemed nice, the other visitors to the pub were loud and rude. One group of adults muttering comments and making assumption about us between themselves, but loud enough for us to hear. All we wanted was a quiet drink. If thats the type of clientele the pub attracts, we wont be going back. Perhaps the restaurant is better. Cannot vouch for the food as we didnt eat.

It's a warm friendly atmosphere when you walk into the Restaurant. We had Sunday Lunch here and it has got to be the best Carvery around this area. With choice of what joint of meat sliced with a home made Yorkshire pudding and vegetable that you help yourself to and the gravy is the tastiest gravy you could wish for. The staff are friendly and accommodating.I would certainly recommend this Restaurant to my family and friends

I have visited this restaurant with a group of 10 at lunchtime. The restaurant is lovely, like a wooden cabin. The staff were all very welcoming & friendly, probably the nicest I’ve come across in our local area. All of our meals came out together, nobody was left waiting for food, which was good. The meals ranged from lasagne, steak pie, fish & chips (the fish was huge!), carbonara & curry (but there was none available at the time we visited). Two of our group were vegetarian & unfortunately there were no veggie meals. We were told that the chef could make veg pasta or veg sausage & chips! This is the main reason I can’t give 4 stars. In this day & age restaurants should have a good choice of vegetarian meals. I don’t like pasta, so had quorn sausage, chips, beans & egg. Not exactly the type of meal I had expected to have in a nice restaurant. More imaginative veggie meals need to be on the menu. I had caramel profiterole cheesecake for dessert & it was gorgeous. I would recommend this place, but probably won’t go back myself until proper vegetarian meals are available. Vegetarians do not live in tomato pasta or quorn sausages. Even so it’s a lovely restaurant, with plenty of parking & also a park for kids. The staff definitely make this place enjoyable to visit.

Have eaten here before awhile ago,and chose to call for Saturday lunch when in the area again. Lovely barn setting and warm welcome and prompt drinks service. Had looked at website and seen the '2 pasta meals for £15, with small glass of wine included' Saturday 12-2pm. Perhaps this is no longer available as not an option presented to us. Menu presented on clipboard with about 10 choices but sadly not one vegetarian option, not even a salad. I asked the server and he said he would go see chef! He returned and offered vegetarian lasagne. I settled on pasta with vegetables with creamy sauce. Pleasant enough but not exciting. My companion opted for chicken curry. Good portion and served with rice but no naan or poppadoms or mango chutney. Disappointing as like to support independent restaurants. Hope they relook at the menu for the autumn.

Good size portion of meat, and the potato and veg was cleared and fresh was replaced before we were asked to get up to get it. Everything was brilliant. If I had to have one tiny grumble, it would be that there wasn’t any stuffing on offer, would have gone down well had there been some. We all had desserts, all well presented and lovely. The staff were friendly and polite, and took the time to address the children with us as well as the adults. It’s the first time I’ve been, but on today’s visit I will definitely be returning. It tasted and felt like glorified ketchup. My sister ordered sea bass which came in a generous portion but again without veggies and with overcooked noodles. Just noodles and fish on a plate. Obviously the 5 a day concept is meaningless here. The staff were polite, efficient and friendly but the food was very disappointing. It lacked flair and balance and we would not visit again. We used to frequent the Jolly Miller a few years ago before they built the new restaurant. The food was usually good, occasionally let down by poor service. This was our first visit to the new restaurant.Paying £4.20 on arrival for pint of Peroni at the bar, set the expectation that this was going to be more than a 'budget' affair. Sure enough the restaurant prices were up with the likes of the New Inn at Limber.Unfortunately, the food was not in the same class as the New Inn.The service was generally ok (better than the New Inn in my opinion), but it was as if there was a stand-in chef trying to cook the meals last night. Both the Beef stroganoff and the sea bream with noodles main dishes were disappointing. The beef a bit scrappy with a tasteless sauce, the fish also tasteless and a small fillet for the £12 plus price. Perhaps to compensate, they'd laid it on top of a huge pile of noodles, that were too dry and 'solid'.The place seems to be getting mixed reviews at the moment, maybe it depends 'who is on' at the time of your visit?

We decided to eat here after reading positive reviews about it. We didn't book and got a table with ease. We were fetched menus, informed that kids ate for free and we both ordered a diet coke. Both adults opted for quiche with wedges and the kids ordered chicken nuggets & fish fingers. Then a side of onion rings. The food arrived quickly and was well presented. The chicken nuggets were battered chunks of chicken. They were very over cooked and cutting them was a chore. My son couldn't chew them. We sent them back and swapped them for fish fingers. At this point, we were told they would knock it off our bill... (kids eat free?). The quiche looked okay, but tasted very bland and had the texture of Yorkshire pudding. Very strange. And the onion rings were greasy and soggy. We were then approached by a different member of staff. I spoke to him about our issues, only to be told that kids don't eat free after all! We were given the wrong offer. The price of the kids meals were knocked off our bill in the end, but we were charged for pints of coke, when we didn't have pints. All a complete shambles really. After we complained we felt awkward and out of place. We eat our frequently and this was one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Was suppose to have a lovely birthday meal as treat... After being told the kids could eat for free if we ate off a certain menu, myself and my friend picked the quiche, salad and wedges.... Then chicken nuggets, cups and peas, and fish fingers, chips and peas for the little ones, a side of onion rings... The quiche was so soggy and tasted odd.. Like a soft Yorkshire pudding! We had strawberries on our salad??? Random maybe the chef thought these were tomatoes God knows! The kids meals were greasy, the onion rings were just grease in batter am sure! The chicken nuggets were the size of tennis balls! How can a little kid eat that... The chicken was dry, the fish fingers were crispy and chewy... And then we were told the kids meals were only free after a certain time... So our original choice of food (instead of soggy quiche) we could have picked anyway...Won't be going back here again, such a waste of a beautiful pub... #getarealchef!

This is a village pub with a restaurant built on the rear. The food is excellent but a little pricey. However if you're not tight then you will enjoy a night in this pub. They have quiz nights and occasionally live music but primarily it is the food that is the big attraction.

I arranged a hen meal at the Jolly Miller for 14 and from start to finish the service here has been fantastic. There was a slight delay on the table being available but I was called in advance to be advised of this, and the delay had only been minimal and had no impact on the enjoyment of the evening. On the night itself the meals were served very quickly and with very generous servings. I'd even missed someone off the pre-order and immediately the staff there resolved this embarrassing situation for me, quickly arranging and serving the extra meal. Therefore I would just like to say a big thankyou to all the staff involved and would highly recommend the Jolly Miller for both service and food.

Attended for a Sunday lunch, extremely quick service, food was nice but average and a little cold. Good portion sizes, was a very quiet period when we went, only another table of four around.

The Irish stew was absolutely gorgeous. Lamb so tender and the mash with a twist well you just have to try it. There was a live music band playing Irish music which was excellent. The staff where very efficient. Well worth a visit.

Called in the Jolly Miller at tea time today for a meal for my Husband's birthday. Lovely meal, my husband had the mixed grill and all the meat was good quality butcher's meat.I had steak and again this was a lovely cut of meat and cooked exactly like I asked for. All the staff were friendly, will definitely be returning

My wife and I have just had lunch here and it was excellent. The restaurant was almost full to the brim but the staff were just as helpful and friendly as they ever are, balancing the needs of several customers at the same time. We both had the steak pie - home made - and it too was excellent. I had trouble eating it so had to take the top off the pie, so as to attempt top and bottom separately, only to find as much meat as there usually is in a pie like this stuck to the underside of the top crust and yet more meat still sitting on the bottom crust. Pie + ice cream + coffee for two + pint of beer + glass of wine and it all came to £31. What a feast and what good value. Well done to all concerned.

We went after work for some food and we're pleasantly surprised to find a converted barn with a nice fire and very modern decor, however the seats were canvas and dipped in the middle, they didn't feel very sturdy but they held for the duration of the meal- I guess they are probably more robust than the feel. The food was lovely, home cooked, big sizes, reasonably priced, we will definitely he coming back x

Having recently moved to the village of Wrawby, we decided to visit the Jolly Miller one evening between Christmas and New Year and really enjoyed our experience. The dishes were plenty large enough and didn't need to be followed by pudding unfortunately lol. Will certainly be returning now and then

The restaurant was not very warm and seemed soulless. The meal was alright, nothing special. The service was poor, not because the young man dealing with us was poor but he was doing everything so it was certainly understaffed. The wait between courses was not acceptable.

The food and service were excellent and the atmosphere was quiet and homely! The new restaurant is very well laid out and they are very accomodating for larger groups! There is also a pool room. I have been twice in the last few weeks; once for a Xmas meal with a large group and the other with another couple. Both were excellent meals with excellent service! The staff were very friendly.

Had broccoli and stilton soup last year and it was thick and lovely so I thought I would have it again. Mmm mistake, it was thin and watery, bread was nice though.Main course of Turkey was ok with nice gravy and Yorkshire pud. Plenty of vegetables all cooked well except the very Al dente broccoli which I couldn't chew. The lemon cheesecake was interesting, looked like chunks of lemon curd tart sunk into it and was too tart for me to eat, the plate being garnished with golden syrup! All in all at £17.95 plus two quid for coffee n mince pie, we shan't be back.

I visited last week with a group of friends. The restaurant appears to be a recent addition, built on at the back. It was modern, and spacious. Personally, I would have liked it to be warmer, and my feet were in a draught. The fire was ornamental only. And did not give off heat. However, the food was excellent. I had beef stroganoff, with rice, and it was one of the best I have had. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely to be repeated.

A group of us go out for a monthly dinner and like to try a new venue each time. We have not been to the Jolly Miller before and were pleasantly surprised what a nice restaurant it was.The restaurant is at the back of the pub and detached from the pub itself which meant you had to go outside to get too it but that did keep the noise levels down. The restaurant was spacious and had a wood panel ceiling which lent warm to the room on a cold November evening. Great feature fire place which runs partly along one side of the room Staff were very welcoming. They had a curry night on when we visited on Wednesday and although none of us ordered this the food looked great.Varied menu with lots of choices and we all tried something different which we all enjoyed. I had Hunters Chicken which was one of the best I have ever had.We are definitely going again and perhaps on a theme night next time.

We had a couple of hours to spare on a Friday so walked in here hoping for a table. I haven't been since it was completely renovated and the dining area was a surprise to me. I like steak well done and this place can do it without it becoming dry and tasteless. Interesting range of starters and puddings. They have a good deal on steak on a Friday, sadly no use to us as we're both driving so can't take advantage of the two steaks and wine offer.

We booked into the restaurant attached to the pub. If you enter via the pub don't be put off. The restaurant is very good. The service friendly, food excellent and well presented. Four meals, drinks and two desserts for £64 is good value. Portions where good, that's why we only had two desserts. I know our family will use the Jolly Miller again.

The last time that I visited this place was quite a few years ago before it was refurbished and at that time the food was just about OK,After reading some good reviews we decided to give it another go, after a couple of visits I though it was about time that I gave it a review,At this point in time, I rate it 5 stars,On both occasions the staff have been quick, efficient and pleasant,I do hope that it doesn't change too much as it will probably become our favourite place to go when we don't have a lot of time available, mainly on a Friday night when we only have an hour or so free between dropping off and picking our daughter up from one of her many activities,On both occasions, we have had time to have a 3 course meal in less than an hour, that is reasonably priced for the quality of the food, The dessert menu changed from the first visit to the second visit which is fine by us as we like to try different things, the lime and ginger cheesecake was something I had never tried before,On both occasions my wife had sirloin steak "well done", At many restaurants a "well done" steak often means overcooked and dry, no such problems here, it seems to be quite an art to cooking a steak well done but still keeping it tender, so well done to the chef for that,I have had home made pie which on both occasions contained good quality meat and the right amount of veg and chips to leave you full but not too full so that you have room for dessert,Very happy with this place so far.
