Never been here before as it is very near where I live and hard to justify the expense when I could eat/drink at home. However, with my daughter working from home, we decided to walk down and get some lunch just for a change of scene in her lunch break. We waited in the cafe whilst it was made. Very nice atmosphere. Loved the crafty things on the walls that you could buy. Ordered some food to take out. However, after leaving, we discovered one of the orders was wrong. This didn't present a big issue was it was a melt rather than a baguette and although it wasn't my first choice, it was nice. The other items we had bought were correct and tasty. I would go again, although perhaps for coffee and cakes rather than the mains.

I am writing to contact the Millhouse to complain that I have a £100 voucher which I was advised we would be able to use but am now unable to contact anyone to confirm what we can do about a refund now that the restaurant cannot meet their obligation.

Beautiful sunny day , decided to walk around the amazing Drewton Estate . On return thought it would be nice to have brunch sat outside. Unfortunately unless you have booked the restaurant ...you can t sit in the lovely outside seated area (despite the fact we wanted to purchase our food from the farm shop). We requested a meal deal ...which was absolutely delicious, but had to take this outside to the pic-nic areas next to the car park!!!! Lovely views of other peoples cars!!!! I couldn t understand this as all the table & chairs near the restaurant were empty????? We also found the system to purchase rather disjointed, had to have stickers on all items, . that were then scanned at the till. I m sure there must be a better way of doing this? How do you cope when there is a rush on ?????

Went here with friends, 6 of us, what a wonderful night. Meal superb, starter, main, dessert, then plate of cheese and biscuits, and THEN fresh made hot mince pie. Tea of coffee for after. Two ladies, VENUS, provided entertainment singing songs from 70 to present. Lots of us got up and dance. Staff were wonderful, got up and danced, also the kitchen staff for the amazing meal. lets have more evening meals with entertainment.

Used to be a great place to eat. Placed our reservation on line approximately two weeks previously, arrived at the pub 25 minutes before our reservation and advised the the staff we had arrived and would have a drink until our table was ready. We were told our table is ready when we were. A few minutes before the reservation time we walked over and expected to be seated, a young male advised they couldn’t fit us in and food orders stop in 15 minutes, and would we eat on a poser table in the bar. When I asked what the problem was, he said there is now a table of 7 and he doesn’t want to ask them to move. As we returned to the bar, the young male said we can order in the bar and he would sit us down when the food is ready. Guess what, even after waiting 15 minutes no order was taken. The team were unorganised and no seemed taking charge! Staff attitude at best was poor and rude, we were definitely an inconvenience. Previously spent a lot of time and money in this place - never again and from other comments things are getting worse. One to avoid at all costs, we can recommend the Hotham Arms, great food and staff actually care.

Lovely coffee. Amazing bacon sarnie. Great service. Can’t fault and will certainly return if in the area.

Always a fan of the Triton. Nice to see they have made some lovely improvements to the garden at the front of the pub. Looks very smart. I have many lovely visits, but my last not so good. Ordered an Almond Milk Latte. Arrived curdled. Waitress placed the coffee down and couldn't get away quick enough... It quickly become apparent why. I politely called her over after realising it was no good. She expressed that it was hard to get right with Almond milk. I understand this, but the milk had definitely turned. And as someone who has made coffee professionally for the past 10 years i do know it is possible, with a little bit more care and attention and if not... then by someone who is more confident frothing the milk. Anyways i requested something else, but as i was trying to tell her what... she was walking away from me? It was very awkward... I said i am trying to tell you what I would like instead but you are walking away from me? It was very strange behaviour. I needed her to listen properly because i have dietary requirements that could be fatal for me if not heard. She was just really not that pleasant. And tbh rude and blunt. The drink was replaced. But with no pleasantries. The food as always was lovely. We order triple cooked chips, which arrived on a metal basket that was placed on the table. But would definitely have benefited from a plate. Strange presentation. But other than that v tasty. Will come again, and ordinarily have a lovely time. But not so much on this occasion, as we were just made to feel uncomfortable by a waitress with an attitude that was not welcome.

Pleasant restaurant area, although a little cold. Mixed bread starter was disappointing - two small breads that were very hot having been microwaved. No real flavour to the breads at all. Steaks were well cooked and bottle of wine deal for £12 was good value. Restaurant was very quiet so there was little atmosphere.
