The best restaurants serving British food in Ilkley Bradford Yorkshire and The Humber

Service and coffee fine. Ice cream sundae already very soft when it arrived, just about melted. I would expect better from Betty's and the price paid. I mentioned it when paying as you do ask if everything was OK. Just got blank looks , no apology . Paid and left. Disappointed.

Lovely Sunday lunch, with an uncomplicated and very appealing menu. Great staff who were friendly and supportive. Special thanks to Jessica and Hannah but to the whole team, who made it a wonderful Easter Sunday lunch.

Parked the car and fancied some lunch before shopping. Literally fell into this gem 3 metres away and it was lovely. My partner was on crutches and doesn't like the sun so, when it was too hot inside, Jane seated us around the side in the shaded terrace. Food was great and service spot on. Thanks to Jane, Amy and all the staff who were so kind.

An amazing location. Staff were very welcoming. Will definitely be back soon. I also enjoyed the man on the guitar playing some cool music. We should see more of that.

We had a wonderful experience at the Box Tree last night, we are new to the area having moved from Leicestershire, and have eaten at Sat Bains (**) and John’s House (*) regularly over many years as they were local to us. This restaurant is 100% Michelin standard food and service without question. The food was absolutely beautiful, we couldn’t agree which were our favourite courses as they were all outstanding (and that barbecued bread!). The food all has both Yorkshire and Australian elements which is fabulous, presentation exquisite, and the service from the staff was impeccable. The decor is quirky but classy - we absolutely LOVED it and will definitely be returning!

A charming, small venue - ideal for the two of to grab some lunch. Good food, reasonably priced, pleasant and prompt service. Would definitely call again.

Centrally located and amazing staff supporting both the hotel and restaurant. Haven't had this good of service in years while travelling. Delicious breakfast in the morning as part of your room rate and you can order anything on the menu! Portions were huge so we ordered halves after the first day. Eggs benedict were the best I have ever had.

It is a few years since I have had the opportunity of visiting this establishment, set in the heart of Ilkley and once a regular destination of mine. I am glad to say that the food offering is still superb., the soup was delicious and the cake and tea were both just as good as in the days when Claire ran the business. A pleasure to visit.

Came to Ilkley for a family wedding and wrote a few of us stayed at The Wheatley. It was wonderful and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were spectacular and the breakfast was delicious and just the thing after a night of dancing and a bit of over indulging

Came for a drink earlier in the day and the bar staff were so lovely we came back for food. Excellent choice of drinks. Really good well priced food for a touristy trap. Enjoyed every minute of it all. Toilets are lovely and clean too for those who like to know these things 😊 would definitely come back. Excellent all round

What a great place , food was very nice and the French fries mmm , and what nice staff , def go again , was driving but would have loved a pint

Although we live in Ilkley, we have only just started frequenting Costa. We always went to Caffe Nero but it is becoming dirty and overwhelmed by dogs. Costa is is not dog friendly and is much cleaner which suits us. The staff are friendly, the coffee good and the snacks very nice.

I visit this store about once a fortnight - with my elderly mother as it’s easy to park and her mobility isn’t great . The food and service are below average but I am limited in Ilkley as to where I can take her. I just have to suffer the poor service and often terrible food) and my mother ( who has dementia is unaware of the majority of what is going on ) - I do not wish to discuss this matter further ( please don’t give me the e mail details when responding to this review). If management cannot see they have very serious issues in the way this cafe operates from the amount of terrible reviews they have received then that says it all ! I would like to thank the staff member who works on the door entrance for helping my mum across the very icy and slippery car park - the staff have done an amazing job to clear the whole car park of snow , making it so much safer for customers.

Impromptu lunch , steak and Guinness pie , really tasty , great crust ! Super friendly service , really enjoyed with a great hand pulled pint in a glorious setting .
