Costa in Bradford

Awful coffe at just under £20 with 2 toasties We left our drinks We won't be going back. Nor had this experience in other costa cafes.

Out of all the Costas in the areas- yeadon, Harrogate, Otley- Ilkley has to be at the bottom of the ratings I personally don’t think it’s very clean and when we last went it the staff were very childish. Don’t rush to go back into this one even though it’s the one closest to my home

We waited behind 2 customers to be served. For more than 5 minutes we had to look at the backs of the two staff chat as one of them made drinks, while the other was cleaning. No acknowledgement that we were present and being really patient. No idea how much longer it could have taken until we would have been served. Basically they were struggling with whatever the two men ordered in front of us and couldn't care who was in the queue behind them. We walked out.

We ordered 2 caramel lattes and they came as 2 vanilla frappe’s! They weren’t great, as they were a bit sickly, but was made up for by the cakes! The cakes were fab, I had a banana cake which was so nice (a lot better than my own!) thank you so much to Costa, will go there again! x 😀

frappé took so long to come even though I only orded two of them. service is mediocre and frappe itself just tastes like milk even though costs £4 for a small

I am a regular visitor to Costa outlets up and down the country, both managed and franchised stores. This deceptively large cafe (it has a very narrow street footprint) is situated just on the edge of town centre amidst a plethora of other coffee shops and eateries (Greggs, Nero, Avanti, etc..) yet always seems busy and genuinely welcoming., clean and well maintained. The fabric generally is sound, but a refresh would do no harm, but it is the friendliness and attitude of the staff which marks it out from other local alternatives and even other Costa stores in the area. I was served by Harriet, she could not have been more helpful in explaining alternative milk choices, explaining where I couid find a Post Office and even offering to carry my drink to my table as I was struggling with two large bags! Great service.

Popped in with a friend for a snack and coffee whilst cycling. It was busy but had plenty of staff on and all very helpful and in great spirits. The coffee was great and a new Christmas Vegan Turkey sandwich was nice too. The only thing I would change is take down the massive screens so the people serving and the customers don't have to shout at each other. How is having to shout 'rona safe?

The staff are good with customer service and are good with Covid wearing masks٫ the quality street latte was nice and the chocolate orange muffin was nice the price wasn't bad٫ only negative was that they were no toilets as they were closed.

As much as food and drinks are always great, service was brilliant today. Team were all over COVID, from walking in the door, encouraging track and trace. Other team member checking no if free tables, clearing up really quickly and communicating to rest of team, so they knew how many tables for clients were free. Well done!

Good attentive service, nice and clean space. Noticed the staff using gel between doing the coffees and using the till. The only issue was the staff having a somewhat heated discussion about work related changes whilst we were the only ones in the store, which is not very professional, but to be expected in these ever changing times

Went in just after reopening due to Covid. Good precautions and signage in please. Coffees were nice and the cakes too. Staff were very friendly and all the tables nice and clean. Keep it up.

Ordered two coffees. Both served cold. Asked for a granola bar got granola cereal. Girl has no idea what I was talking about. Had to show her.in cabinet. 45p difference. No apology. No refund. Costa is rxpensivevenough without being cheated too. And then I had to go back for teaspoons. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER ILKLEY THIS ISNT THE FIRDT TIME YOU HAVE MADE MUSTAKES

I love coming into this store because every day when I arrive I'm greeted by happy smiley faces who get my day off to a great start! I feel like I've grown to build a great connection with all the staff especially the store manager George. The place is clean and tidy and the drinks are always made to perfection. I would definitely recommend it if you're ever in need of a quick coffee or catch up with friends in Ilkley.

As far as Costa’s go, this one’s fairly average. The coffee’s nothing to shout about, but that’s not this particular branch’s fault... all drinks seem to be in line with other branches in terms of taste. Toilets are generally in an okay condition, tables aren’t usually filthy, service fairly average. The card machine seems to be permanently broken, though

With so many good options in Ilkley it's surprising that people gravitate to the Costa: the coffee is mediocre, the staff appear stressed and not particularly friendly, and the place appears scruffy and bordering on dirty. Find somewhere nicer, folks!

The coffee is good, the service rather slow. The place needs a bit of TLC! Such good location. Must improve. Will I go back? Yes I would...

Came in here to feed my daughter and a coffee and a cake for myself. I had a gingerbread latte - not sure if they ran out of gingerbread crumbs or just forgot but they were not included - it was fine otherwise. I had a slice of Yule log - very disappointing at just under £3. Was like something you would buy from Jack Fulton’s and defrost before slicing.

Wish we had never set foot in this Costa. Although there were about four members of staff the service was very poor. A long wait to be served, although queue not that long. Senior staff too much chatting not enough care to customers. So rude, talking to each other and not attending to customers who were having problems with their contactless machine. The ladies toilet needed attention. General cleanliness very poor. Try independents in the town or Nero.

This place is always filthy even when its practically empty, as many reviews seem to note. Also its the only costa I've been in that doesn't bring your food out, they just scream your order out when its ready until you come and collect it? Awkward. Worst Costa I've been in. Majorly letting the side down.

Stopped in for coffee before hitting the shops. Very good service and coffee, the only downside is the problem with most Costas, people use it as their private office. One person at a table for four with laptop and phone spread out should not be encouraged.

Stopped in here a few times during our stay in Ilkley and they do the best Chai latte. And the goodies in the counter are worth looking at.

This place never fails, beautiful place and to top it off , lemon cake and Americano , excellent never lets us down

Popped in here on New Years day for a nice warm drink. Hot chocolate was really nice and hot (which sometimes it isn't)

Me and the wife called in for a cheeky Americano on our way through ilkley , can’t fault the place, quick service clean and tidy keep it up

As part of our trip to the Cow and Calf pub outside Ilkley on the Monday morning we had a walk round Ilkley. We decided to have a coffee in Costa, partly because Pat had a voucher! It was busy, the staff were friendly and the coffee was nice. It was am enjoyable visit.

It is ok here and I had the toastie witch was so cheesy and I loved it but the bathrooms need a good scrub.

The manager asked me the order and then passed it on like Chinese whispers!! Luckily the guy on the coffee machine was listening to me! The place doesn’t appear to get much wiping around done either!

We call in here for a drink each time we visit Ilkley And today was no exception. Such a shame the place was so dirty, I had to clean our table and both seats even though looked like no one sat there in a while. The toilets too were in a pretty disgusting state. Not what you expect from this chain. I think next time we are here we will try one of the independent cafes.

Enjoyed a large Latte in this well run coffee shop. Coffee served in the usual expert manner one has become accustomed too at Costa Outlets. Staff were very friendly and service was speedy.

Located in main High Street of Ilkley this coffee shop is busy and well located. Standard Costa fayre, staff friendly. Good meeting place or stop off in this tourist town.

One of the best Costa Coffee shops I have been in. The place was spotlessly clean. To say the staff are all young they are extremely efficient and polite. The best caramel latte I have had for ages, plus my husband loves the lemon tarts. I would recommend anyone visiting Ilkley to visit Costa the staff are just outstanding nothing is too much trouble for them.

Visitamos aquí para atender un miembro de la familia. Sólo tuve un latte, este era bueno. Por desgracia, aunque me las arreglé para golpear casi la taza llena. El personal era tan servicial, inmediatamente hay que aclararlo, luego me dieron otro latte entregado a la mesa.

A pesar de no aparecer a ser cuatro miembros del personal de trabajo, varias mesas tenía tazas y platos en ellas por todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí. La persona que hizo que mi café no parece que se preocupan de cómo mi bebida fue presentada, salpicando sobre el café en el borde y al platillo. Muy pobre.

The cups weren't clean, and the replacement ones - although delivered politely - weren't any better. So we opted for paper cups, even though we were eating in. The rest of it was the usual consistent quality, which is always appreciated.

Staff always rushed off their feet but manage to stay cheerful. The coffee and hot chocolate (our favourite tipples) are consistently good. It is often crowded with schoolchildren so pick your times. The new makeover was long overdue and they still have those silly high seats in the window which only emphasise height differences between couples. We are Costa fans so would always recommend this chain coffee shop

As you would expect at Costa the coffe is consistently good. My only criticism is that because it is so bust it always looks a bit untidy and looks as if it could do with a makeover or a very least a clean and tidy

Most Friday and Saturday nights, one can see happy revellers spilling out onto Brook Street from Costa. The bar area is quite small but it already attracting the glitterati of West Yorkshire.

I've accrued (over a fairly lengthy period of time) £100 loyalty points on my Costa card, so it's fair to say, I used to enjoy drinking Costa coffee.But, is it just me or around 12 months ago did the Cappuccinos become 1/3rd tasteless white froth and 2/3rd's milky water with a hint of coffee? Try Nero or Pret A Manger for comparison - they serve great Cappuccinos!Called in today and had the special blend Americana which might as well have been Nescafe instant (so left half of it)The almond croissant was dry and tasteless and the place is dirty, tatty and uninviting and desperately needs a make over. There are some really good coffee shops in Ikley and I only re-tried Costa because I have free loyalty points, but to be honest, I won't even drink there for 'free' in future. Have to say that staff were efficient and friendly.It's a really disappointing place these days and best avoided - come on Costa, you can do better than this?

Came here whilst visiting Ilkley - great selection of cakes and sandwiches. Service and coffee to a good standard and friendly service by staff! I'll be back

In ikley at 1030 on Monday morning payed for my latte at ikley £2.55 gave her. a blonde young lass. £20.05 and she didn't know what change to give me. Coffee was excellent but need maths skills!

This a reasonable Costa serving the standard range of drinks.The service was good and the coffees were pleasant.It is a clean and smart coffee shop as one would expect from the town.

Headed for Costa in Ilkley as we are fans of the coffee. This branch so badly needs updating. Very tired looking and seemed positively dirty. Even ageing furniture can be kept clean and tidy.Tables had not been cleared including ones outside - bad first impression. The branch was not busy when we went in and approaching the counter I was ignored at first. The barista didn't seem to notice I was there. Two other staff were chatting to each other and making little effort to clear tables etc. Toilet was visited - not clean and no loo paper.The only redeeming feature was that the coffee was a good product as ever. However the visit was not a pleasant experience.

I love Costa, but this coffee bar is simply stinky. There must have been 4 or 5 wet smelly dogs inside, I was shocked that in a food store they are allowed? I know it's near the moors but the first seat I went to sit at had a wolf sat to my near side, not great brushing up against our seats and clothing

The many windows allow light to stream into this cafe so it feels bright and cheerful. Service is always quick and efficient. There are quiet corners to relax in with sofas and comfy armchairs, which gives it a relaxed feel. There are also chairs outside which is a bonus.

Called in this lunchtime for coffee and a cake. This branch desperately needs a refurb. The area where coffee is made up looked dirty, something I've never seen in a Costa Coffee before, they are usually very clean. Staff were loudly talking to each other non stop when serving me, one waitress on a break was chatting away to the Barista almost over me, not good service at all. Poor selection of cakes. I commented to my husband, it is the worst Costa I've ever been in. Saving grace was the coffee, which was good.It didn't feel like a pleasant experience at all.

This costa is nicely placed in the heart of ilkley. It has a lovely atmosphere and is quite big. Lovely bay window seating areas!

Generally a fan of Costa Coffee as the quality of drink and food is consistent throughout the franchises.Ilkley is a great little store providing exactly what you expect. Not the best of their stores, but great coffee, good food, friendly service and a clean relaxing environment.Will keep visiting.

Came with a work colleague prior to a joint meeting. Friendly staff clean and quiet. Found a quiet corner to have a much earned hot chocolate and muffin whilst having a good catch up.

Costa coffee are almost everywhere in the UK and are pretty much all the same. The food range is limited but for morning or afternoon tea or coffee they are fine. Its basic order at the counter style but the service is pretty good..

Costa is my favourite coffee shop and whenever I am in Leeds/Guiseley, I make sure that it is the one I visit however I am constantly unimpressed by the Ilkley branch. It seems dim and grubby compared to others and there is not enough seating. When I am in Ilkley, I tend to visit Caffe Nero, which is a shame as I aim to build up loyalty points from Costa Coffee. The staff are always friendly though.

Just popped in for a quick coffee but as the empty tables had not been cleared and there was food on the floor left without ordering. Bad experience, won't be back.

Mum and I called in just for a drink. The staff where friendly that were serving us - our drinks were made by a trainee that listened and asked questions to her enthusiastic peer. The drinks were fine with no problem there.A few empty tables had used cups and plates still left on them and the customers had gone. Some customers had even stacked their things onto the trays to help. I was surprised that these were still on the tables because there seemed to be a high number of staff.The settee near the toilets needs replacing - the inner white stuffing was more out than in - leaving it very flat and really untidy. I felt the toilets although free from toilet roll pieces on the floor could have had a better clean. No excuses for a quieter Thursday afternoon (half the tables were empty) for the excessive staff to take their own initiative and get this sorted. Felt unloved - I expected better.

Costa isn't cheap, but the coffee is excellent, the staff are very personable, and the buns and cakes are very fresh and gorgeous.

Me and wife must have done a national tour of costs coffee shops in the last year , this shop is very clean and the staff are very friendly and the coffee and buns , excellent as normal, keep up the good work!!

Went on a Saturday lunchtime so was understandably very busy. Poor choice of food. Was not given a class to go with the cold drinks we ordered. Food arrived fairly promptly but the meatball wrap I had was cold in the middle! Couldn't finish it but was offered a replacement but we were leaving so was given a reward instead. Staff clearly run off their feet! Was sat under blasting air-con on a very tiny table so very uncomfortable - although when this was mentioned the waiter did say had we complained he would have turned it off. Would not go again, Ilkley has so many better cafes and not run by huge chains at that!
