Easy check in and a short walk upstairs to The Strid room. The room is shaped as the building is, which is crescent shaped. Nice high ceilings and nice clean room and bathroom and with an inclusive Pierres brekky. You'll either be at the front on the high street or at the back over the courtyard like us.

We stayed overnight here. Booked through Booking.com. Breakfast was included, lots of choices and delicious. Our room was spotlessly clean. Everything was working properly. We had an electric radiator which had been turned off, so we needed to heat the room up when we arrived. We were permitted to park in one of the hotel parking bays to the rear of the hotel, which are usually only reserved for guests who stay in one of the suites. In the early hours of the morning some very noisy guests came in. Their room was above ours. Real anti social behaviour. That’s our only complaint. The hotel is in the centre of Ilkley town, so a great location.

We met some friends in The Crescent Inn last night and couldn’t believe how cold and bleak it was. There is a real fire which wasn’t lit despite it being a chilly Friday evening. The lighting was bright and there wasn’t any music playing which added to the dismal atmosphere. There were only two mediocre lagers to choose from which were well overpriced, we just couldn’t wait to finish our drinks to go to a more welcoming, cosier pub.

We've had a great stay, fabulous room and comfy big bed, breakfasts are just sublime, all the staff were very helpful, hotel is situated in the centre of Ilkley. Unfortunately there is a nightclub behind the hotel, for which the hotel has no control, which is a bit noisy, but we had earplugs, so we were OK.

Parking is an issue unless you book a Suite , in which case you are allocated a parking space , it did put a dampener on our trip

We booked an overnight stay here as we were going to a concert at The King's Hall just down the road. It was perfect for us. We had booked the Kettlewell room and it had everything we needed - kettle, tv, hairdryer, and a very comfortable bed etc etc. The room had a bath with overhead shower, but sadly I couldn't get the bath taps to work no matter what I did. There were the usual nice, fixed, gels and lotions but it would have been nice to have a throwaway toothbrush for those one-night guests who hadn't brought one - we had! Oh, and just a little suggestion - the chair in our room needs a definite reupholster! Breakfast was excellent, really good quality and plenty of it, and service was quick and friendly. Emily is definitely a keeper! Thank you for a great stay, and we will definitely come and stay with you again.

Beer was off, which happens, but I have never encountered such rudeness. The barperson took the beer to someone else at the other side of the bar for a second opinion! A replacement was eventually given ( which was fine) but not a smile or word of apology.

The problem here is that this is not a hotel in any way, and the rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. On arrival the girl at reception made no offer to help with our cases, although my husband is in his 80s. The carpets on the stairs are dirty and worn, and the housekeeping in the rooms is poor - wet towel left in the both, used rubber glove left on a chair, dirty windows and grubby furniture. Breakfasts were dreadful, waiting half an hour to have our order taken - self service would be better - toast and butter on a plate so hot that the butter turned to liquid. Until some investment is made on this place, it is really not worth staying here.

Amateur hour at the Crescent Inn. A Wednesday evening. Hardly rushed off their feet busy. I was only person when I arrived and by the time I left about 4 others had arrived. Had a beer. Ordered food. Waited. Waited. People who had arrived after me ordered food and it arrived. This is now 40 minutes since ordering. Asked what was happening to my order and told, after confused flapping back and forth with the kitchen, that it 'hadn't been put through' They had, however, been able to take my card payment. So their system is efficient enough to take your money, but not so good at delivering your food. Further kerfuffle to get my refund. The guy begind the bar highly affronted that a customer might be a little put out by this sort of situation. To be fair, he was only a young lad and gad obviously not recieved any proper training. A 'grown up' eventually arrived to sort out the refund and provide a perfunctory apology. I can't comment on the food because I didn't get any, but if this is the way they run the front of house, God knows what the kitchen is like.

We stayed at the Crescent Inn in the Hebden room from 5 Sept to 7 Sept 2022. The room was OK, but the shower didn't work (no hot water). After we informed the staff about this, we were told that they knew this and that it was not foreseeable when it would be repaired. Why do you give guests a room that doesn't really work properly or at least give them the information when they check in.

We were a family of 4 staying in one of the suites. The rooms were clean and comfortable with good quality bedding and tasteful furnishings. We were next to a busy road so there was a fair bit of traffic noise through the day but not much the hotel can do about that. Our suite had a full kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine so it would be good for longer stays. We had breakfast which was table service. The food was very good. There was only one person waiting on and it was fairly busy but we didn't wait long for our food and drinks. Ilkley has a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants. The Crescent is a 10 min walk from the Ilkley Lido and a 10 min drive from the Cow and Calf rocks which are worth a visit. I would stay at The Crescent again.

The hotel itself is stunning and we stayed in the Saltaire suite which was luxurious. Breakfast included was delicious and views from the room great. All positive except the huge matter of the noise level created by the bar in the courtyard. The music and cheering was loud and went on until 3am - we were kept awake until this time. I would really take this in to account if staying here and ask for a room on the opposite site of the building or just be prepared to join the party!

The Crescent Inn Ilkley is a well established hotel with excellent accommodation, particularly the suites. We stayed in the Saltaire Suite:- extremely comfortablel well maintained and very clean. The hotel bar was well stocked and well run, the standard of bar food was excellent. Breakfasts were cooked to order and were delicious...recommend the omelette. What sets the Crescent Inn apart is Deputy Manager Lorraine. She was a perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble, even going to a local shop to help us replace a vital.piece of equipment we had forgotten to pack. Only three parking spaces available! The neighbouring Yard pub at the rear of the Hotel, very noisy and open until 2am could be an issue for some guests. Thank you Lorraine and staff for making us feel so welcome.

I hovered between rating four or five but decided the food and staff deserved full marks. My only disappointment e as the standard of housekeeping which has deteriorated since my last visit two years ago. I chose to bring my daughter to The Crescent because my late husband and I loved the old world atmosphere enhanced by gleaming copper bar taps, foot rail and tables. Not only was the copper badly in need of cleaning but a layer of dust was even on some tables. However the deep fried bri was delicious, as was the vegetarian main. Both the female and make staff members were warm, friendly and helpful. Strangely, the toilets and surroundings were spotless as always. The atmosphere was rather cold probably due to there being so few customers. I feel sure the recent mood fires combined with it being a mid week lunch may have been responsible for that.

Last week, to my dismay I found the menu had been re-structured with no Fish Combo - so I ordered the crispy chicken burger and my wife the Crescent burger. My wife's burger was desperately over cooked, my chicken burger was also very dry - the burgers were supposed to be on brioche buns, but it looked as if they run out of those and nipped out for supermarket rubbish.

Then the service was just slow! Too slow for a place not that busy. Our waitress was trying to smile and be nice, but the kitchens didn't help her! The food when it arrived was Ok, my pork chop a bit dry, slightly overcooked or just left under a heat lamp? My wife's burger was ok, but it should be it's a burger. Stayed at the Crescent inn for a weekend break.Initially on entering the room we found it really noisy (similar to air con), my husband complained and was assured by a nice young lady that the noise would be turned off by bed time and it was, however the following night we had a sleepless night as the noise was left on.This room was a tad on the small size but adequate, comfortable bed, good linen, power shower etc.The breakfast was absolutely fabulous, great choices, top ups on tea and coffee and served in nice surroundings. Our complaints were more than taken care of and so for that reason we would definitely stay at the Crescent again. Thanks to the young lady who took our complaints seriously, her customer service was excellent !

Love this pub. Friendly, attentive staff & great choices on the bar. I do the quiz on a Monday and have eaten a few times. Always nice! One big point, book in advance for the quiz as its very popular and the tables get booked in advance! Lovely place

Stopped by here after a walk on the moors, just wanting some decent pub grub - The Crescent surpassed our expectations! The food was really lovely, high quality and well presented. We had the mini chorizo sausages in honey to start, which were divine. Followed by the fish & chips and steak pie - both were very yummy and decent portions - would highly recommend a visit if you're in need of a good refuel after a day out in Ilkley! Selection of beers looked quite impressive too.

The grand old Crescent Hotel has a beautiful three storey semi-circular shape that curves across the corner of Brook Street and the A65 Leeds Road. There’s no car park. The inn fills the ground floor to the right of the entrance. I had a pint of Ghost Wraith (£3.30). It was agreeable enough but a bit lifeless – maybe the end of the cask. Service is friendly but the barman stopped pouring my pint to answer the phone and was then kept talking for five minutes taking a room booking. There’s a great selection of eight real ales on handpump. The room has a nice feel with a very high ceiling, pale blue walls and a substantial dark wood counter and an imposing back bar. I wasn't keen on the loud piped music and the distractions of a massive wall mounted screen tuned to sports TV but the Crescent Inn is worth a visit.

We had Sunday Dinner here, the food and service were really good and the choice of wines and beers likewise. It is excellent value and the portions are generous. The staff balance looking after the bar and serving food well and are both attentive and interested in their customers. It is very cosy, lively enough but also relaxing.

We tend to visit for a drink rather than a meal but every couple of months we'll call in for a quick meal and it's always really nice. I think they share the kitchen with bistro Pierre so they offer some of the same dishes, the food is great and served quickly. The Inn has a cosy atmosphere, it can be bit noisy if they are showing a sporting event but outside of this the TVs just look like ornate mirrors and in winter the fire will be roaring. Really nice Antipodean chap behind the bar now, I will get his name but really friendly and helpful.

Been here a few times, always friendly bar staff and decent food, better than most pub food. If you've an hour to spare one afternoon while your fiance is wedding dress shopping buy a paper pop in, grab a pint and sit by the fire. If your lucky someone will have a dog too.

We called for a quick drink and after spotting some of the food coming out of the kitchen decided to stay on for lunch and were so glad we had.Me and my husband shared a platter of tapas that included olives, humous, roasted peppers & cheese to name but a few. The star of the plate though were the most wonderful chorizo pieces cooked in honey, absolutely lovely. My parents had burgers which were tasty and very well presented. The beer selection is excellent and judging by the taste this place has a very well looked after cellar! Great attentive staff that clearly take pride in this lovely bar. Will definitely be making a return visit in the summer. Thanks for a great lunch!

Two birthdays in February. Mine and my daughter’s mother in law. Both of us live in the North East. My daughter and son in law live in the North West. Ilkley seemed a good half-way point to meet for a birthday lunch. And my daughter has a dog so the venue has to be dog-friendly.Looked at various reviews and selected The Crescent. Not disappointed. This is a proper pub.Plenty of locals. Football on the two wide-screen televisions. But plenty of real ale available.Plenty of space at a large, reserved table. And good choice on the menu, including for the two vegetarians in our party. My first choice – pies and mash – was not available so I opted for the Brioche burger. My daughter had a vegetarian cheese tart, my son in law a fish combo, my wife a mushroom and pea risotto. We followed with various deserts including sticky toffee pudding, lemon tart and frangipane with custard. Washed down with drinks, including two pints of very nice Mary Jane bitter from Ilkley Brewery.Everyone said how much they enjoyed the meal and the service was friendly but not intrusive.Good, relaxed way to celebrate another milestone.

Top pub. Excellent range of beers. Good wine list. Good value food. Best staff in Ilkley. Intelligent clientele. If in Ilkley, also worth visiting Flying Duck, Bar t'at and Friends of Ham but The Crescent is the best.

We really used to enjoy visiting the Crescent for food and real ale.Of late - tables are being resrved for football screenings, food quality is going downhill and also deals for loayal regulars were dropped cancelled through December to try and coin in for the Xmas trade. Also over Xmas a "tip your bar staff" jar has appeared and stayed as a new feature. How bizarre - given that service had gone down hill. Our recent visit offered a cremated Beef burger on one plate and a barman arguing about the sauce type/recipe thrown on the 8oz steak.Needless to say - we now go elsewhere for food...a nd will monitor the real ale offerings... such a shame. Not sure if there is new management or lack of management - but we were certainly not impressed.
