Lovely little pub / restaurant with lovely fresh made food. Loved every minute of our stay and will be going back again.

We were served by Megan for Sunday lunch. Absolute brilliant service, very warm and welcoming, with very prompt service. She made us feel very welcome. The food was top quality grade. I had the Lamb Sunday roast - cooked perfectly with fantastic accompanying flavours and sides. Probably the best Sunday lunch I’ve had in West Yorkshire!

Very pleasant welcome on arrival by Paige & Fenella , shown to table straight away and then the evening went like clockwork even though the restaurant was very busy .

Luke was very friendly & the atmosphere service & food was great

Food was nice but arrived lukewarm and we don’t live that far away and was delivered by man on a moped. We have had food before and it arrived hot last time.

We came for a meeting today and had the buffet menu, it was brilliant! Thank you very much!

Luke was amazing , very nice , welcoming, funny, polite and an overall lovely guy. Food was lovely too right from the starter to deserts, I would recommend the garlic ciabatta and the rib eye steak.

Luke was superb and extremely professional. Warm and friendly welcome and had time for all customers. Food was very good too.

Many visits enjoyed to this gorgeous pub. The staff can't do enough from the minute you enter to the minute you leave. Food amazing, plenty of choice. Such a gorgeous pub.

Was given a non vegan option when vegan was specified. Me and my partner have now eaten cheese for the first time in years. It seemed like the bartender was new but when I approached them about it the bar manager and tender seemed to then just have an argument. I also requested a slight adjustment, chips instead of ciabatta, which the bar-manager then said that chips were more substantial and so the change couldn’t be made, although they are priced the same on the menu. Maybe just caught them on a busy day, but the service was awful for the price. We were offered no real condolences apart from a verbal sorry, but a free drink or discount would’ve been enough to rectify the ordeal.

One of the Vintage Inn groups pub/restaurants by the river aire. The pub has undergone a number of renovations through the years and would probably enjoy a lick of paint. The Sunday roast was nice, but the roast potatoes and parsnip were only lukewarm on arrival at the table. The sirloin, however, was delicious. The lower star ratings are based on the physical appearance of the premises.

Fenella was a fantastic waitress . Everything was really tasty and well cooked

I had a dine out card bought for my 70th birthday and my husband and decided to use it at the George and Dragon. Ordered Prawn Cocktail and the avocado was brown which was off putting. I ordered the pie and the pastry wasn’t cooked and the sauce of the filling was watery. I couldn’t eat it and explained to the waitress. I was offered a pudding but didn’t want one. We spent over £80 and all I had was half a starter! A total disappointment for a special birthday!

I had the triple meat roast today. The staff were welcoming enough and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. The roast lunch was OK nothing special but the roast potatoes were awful, they were not crispy and I could tell they were cooked much earlier and reheated. The potatoes were not hoti and I did not eat them. I was disappointed as i was looking forward to crispy potatoes, perhaps it was a one off. Everything else was good. The fruit crumble was a bit tart and the crumble was scanty please use more crumble. Hopefully, things will be improved upon.

Well if your gonna say you are serving fluffed roast potatoes then you should. Chefs mistake to cook the rost potatoes early and reheat for service. Not a good plan. They had that cold potato taste and texture. Other to that the 3 meat roast was good. Crumble is cheap put more!

We love coming here for birthday meals because there’s something for everyone- even the fussiest eater of the family! Food is always delish and very reasonably priced. Great drinks selection, lots of spirit flavours to pick from which is very refreshing. Staff are super friendly- we were served today by Jonny, Sophie, and Sarah, and they were wonderful. We don’t live very close at all but we always make the hour trip just to come here because it’s just that good🌟

Have come here for years, been meaning to leave a review for a while but after today’s meal I just had to. The food used to be hit and miss a few years back, but in the past couple of years I have never had a bad meal here the lamb is delicious and when they have the offers on it’s great value. The staff are great and it’s cosy when it’s an evening. Definitely doing something right! 5*

Just had christmas dinner at the george and dragon and could not fault it organisation was outstanding. No waiting to be seated, table was ready when we arrived. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Decorations were beautiful, very festive. Food was fantastic every course was the perfect size and just as described. Delicious. Can't thank the staff enough for making christmas day perfect. Will definitely be coming back next year

The staff were welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was great and they allow dogs in the bar area, which as we have a new puppy was special to us. The food was wonderful.

Well had a meal with a group of 28 the service was excellent , the food well all I can say well impressed finally found a place where the chef knows what a "blue" steak is all about. Certainly will eat here again what an awesome atmosphere. Regads Mike

Fish cakes 2 very thin and small broccoli tender stems awful 6 new potatoes. Absolute disgusting like a starter and £14.00 fish cakes better from lidl. I am sorry but was awful. Don't go robbers.

Fuimos con mi hermana necesitábamos un poco de ánimo así que fuimos por algo de comer, yo tenía el pastel de carne que era absolutamente delicioso y mi hermana tenía la ensalada de pollo que dos personas podrían haber compartido fácilmente. Luego seguido por el lío de Eton que sí compartimos y fue hermoso , sin duda volver de nuevo, además de que puede llevar a su perro también 😁

I have eaten in this pub 5 or 6 times and every single time the food, service and drinks were spot on. We've even turned up late on a Sunday afternoon without a booking and were squeezed in and fed with absolutely no fuss whatsoever. Cannot compliment the friendly and helpful staff enough in this place. I live on a canal boat and travel around so visits to the George and dragon have been many months apart at times and I still find the same great standards each time I return. Highly recommend.
