Lovely place, staff couldn't be more helpful. Food fantastic, we had vegan family with us and their choice of dishes were great and delicious not the usual boring suggestions for vegans. Both meat eaters and vegans v er happy. The only bad thing I have to say.about The Woolpack is that it is not my local.

For me, it's a lovely walk through Esholt woods to get to the woolpack. Fortunately, wet, stinking, dogs are allowed in. The pub itself (besides being the pub in Emmerdale) is still in the traditional style. I found it very clean, full of local characters & had a good selection of draught ales. Go to this charming village pub & take in all the best aspects of traditional English pubs. Ps, I haven't eaten there, so I can't comment on the food. Can you?

I’ve visited a few times now and this time I needed to take along my dear friend who enjoys Emmerdale as much as me. It was amazing to finally show her the real original Emmerdale village. I’ve visited a few times and I always highly recommend this iconic pub to everyone I meet especially all Emmerdale fans. The owner Adam and his family are incredibly lucky to be the landlords of such an iconic piece of history and they run it extremely well. It has had lots of brilliant improvements hence why I recommend it to everyone. The food is absolutely incredible, the decor is cosy/homely and inviting. I could spend hours here and already can’t wait to go back again! Keep smashing it and see you soon! X

Stayed here in our motorhome, car park slightly sloping but managed to level up. We had a nice meal, it was very busy as they had a big party of people booked in. We got there in plenty of time to have good choices from the menu, but later on, others weren't as lucky as some meals from the menu had sold out. Had a pleasant evening and a good night's sleep in our motorhome, undisturbed, and peaceful night.

We ordered steak and ale pie and fish and chips and both were fantastic. There is a very good sized car park at the rear and a fair few benches at the front (I imagine it would be great to sit and have food and/or a few drinks there in the summer). Went with friends for Sunday lunch. The beef was lovely but the carrots over cooked so very soft, broccoli under cooked very difficult to cut through, let alone eat. Very disappointed with roast potatoes as very dry and tasteless. Think they were probably frozen and bought in. Lovely building and local to us. We left disappointed.

We visited today as a family of 4, seemed good to begin with, the 1 barman was rushed off his feet so we were understanding they were busy. We asked for a highchair for our 1 year old to be told there was only 1 left - to say I wouldn’t feed my dog off it is an understatement, absolutely filthy and took nearly a whole pack of baby wipes to clean the thing up. Our food then took over an hour to come, we were starving with an upset one year old … when our food arrived the quality was very poor - bad quality sausages, mash which seemed reheated in a microwave, it just wasn’t good considering how long we waited and the price we paid - won’t be visiting again.

Salts Diner is a great place for lunch it never lets us down. Today I had a fantastic new dessert - Carrot and Pecan pudding with Lemon Mascarpone. Every single bite had amazing flavours and I loved it. Haven’t raved so much about a dessert since I had Basil Sorbet at the Savoy over 7 years ago.
