Llegué a la 1 pm pidió un pan tostado, pannini y nuggets de pollo para niños, el servicio en la caja fue dolorosamente lento, pero tomó nuestro número y esperó, y esperó y esperó .. llegó a la 1. 40 y las familias que entraban después recibían su comida. Preguntó al personal y dijo 10 minutos... otros 20 minutos después y otra comida de las familias salió... fue a la caja a pedir un reembolso y dijo que lo estaban emplatando... vino y se equivocó de orden para el pan tostado. Preguntó a un miembro del personal que amablemente me dijo “estaban ocupados” (era 1/3 lleno en el mejor de los casos! ) 1 . 15 minutos por fin tuvimos toda nuestra comida. Evitar - el personal no podría importar menos y no tienen un cuidado en el mundo!

We went for afternoon tea, which was lovely. Really fresh and the tea or coffee is refillable. They change the menu seasonally which is great. Really lovely staff.

What a lovely pub - with really nice meals. We stayed for a weekend in one of the dog friendly rooms and had a brilliant weekend. Lovely staff and very friendly locals. Bumper the spaniel was a particular attraction and made friends with our Labrador! This is a great location with lovely beach walks. A great pub to stay at for a weekend away.

un gran pub! !!! hasta que nos echaron por jugar a los dardos literalmente sin razón! !! “usted puso los dardos en la encimera” mientras que hay unos 500 agujeros en la superficie - pub decente solo personal de mierda, no juegues a los dardos aquí a menos que si te gusta que te griten! !

They charged me extra and staff wasn't very friendly. Also the food didn't even taste good. Bad experience

Very rude people went in and totally ignored us stood there for 5 mins nobody else in and never spoke a word to us.We left if this is how they treat customers then I would avoid at all costs there are better fish and chips shops available

Excellent food, excellent service, looks great and clean. Big queue but served in a timely manner. Definitely recommend

Comí aquí (en el hotel) porque nada estaba abierto. Y aunque los ingredientes eran buenos, estaban mal utilizada.Las vieiras estaban bien, pero parecía tener salsa de chocolate sobre ellos.La lubina estaba seco y obviamente descongelados, pero fue el verduras de temporada que eran tenían nada. Col roja, con esmirna (? Patatas y nabos).Sí, nabo.Nabo amarillo sosa aguada. Estaba casi de junio.No recomendaría aunque el personal era encantador.

It’s been a while since last eating here and we didn’t have high expectations to begin with but accepted it for being what it is, a chain but it was worse than anticipated. Really slow, high prices, low quality food. Fish finger sandwiches are more batter than fish and over cooked dry chicken in a bowl of rice with katsu sauce, two sprigs of broccoli for just under £20, what’s going on?We raised these points as we left and were told to have a nice day... 😳

A new food buissiness called meeks monch

Visited here this morning for a 'Vegetarian Breakfast', and it is one of my favourite Wetherspoons so far. A huge venue over two floors and it is decorated really well. There is also a very nice roof terrace. Friendly service and decent food. Only point of feedback would be that the fried eggs and sausages were overcooked on this occasion. Would definitely recommend.

Visited the Highwayman today for lunch. We all chose the carvery which was fab, the beef was amazing! Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. My sister is caeliac and they took a lot of time making sure she was accommodated. Excellent ! Will def be back.

Enjoyed fish and chip meal with a teacake just curry sauce not the best I've had but still OK. Will use again really enjoyed it

We had a good time at the George. we came back because the first time everything was fantastic but this time our electricity when out. We asked a member of staff to sort the electricity out which was forgotten about until we came back 5 hours later walking into our room still in the dark. When I came back down the manager apologised and gave us drinks on the house which was lovely of her while she fixed the situation in our room. We also put the door sign out saying clean our room Which never got done. All together it's an okay place to stay if staying in Selby
