They charged me extra and staff wasn't very friendly. Also the food didn't even taste good. Bad experience

Call in for sandwiches when I’m out that way. The best ham salad sandwich you can get. The shop is always clean and tidy . Management ought to be urgently recruiting some help for the lady who works in there. She obviously struggles when the shop is busy. She does an excellent job under pressure Dave Horton

PLEASE BRING BACK the roughage loaf that you used to make 30 years ago. If was the best tasting bread ever. The bread you sell now is supermarket bread. May as well shop at my local supermarket. I used to buy all my cooked meat from cooplands too...really tasty roast pork and tender beef. In fact I bought everything they sold. The buns were delicious especially the strawberry tarts and date slices but best of all was the ROUGHAGE LOAF. I used to have to queue out of the door so popular was the cooplands shop!!!! I had no idea it had been taken over, I just knew it had changed. Now I know why the quality of the bread is not so good. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR; GET PPL QUEUEING OUT OF THE DOOR AGAIN...USE THE OLD RECIPES AGAIN and GO BACK TO THE OLD COOPLANDS WE KNEW AND ALL LOVED!!!!!!

Went in here for a bacon sandwich as it opened on my way to work and the old lady behind the counter was the most rude person I have ever met I only asked for a bacon sandwich and a coffee and she just snapped and said there is nothing ready you will have to come back or go somewhere else which I was not expecting customer service like that .Come on cooplands you need to invest in some customer service training.will never return because of the way I was spoken too. Ended up at McDonald’s

I've used the place for a coffee and a sandwich a couple of times, it's always been good, the staff are always polite and you get what you pay for. It always costs me 20p more though because I have to pay to park so I'm not risking a parking fine for a 5 minute visit.

Gone are the days of visiting a true bakery. sandwiches weren't the freshest, bread soggy like it had been stood all day with the fillings on. Ham off colour. A little disappointing.

I grew up using Coopland and used to buy their roughage bread when ever I visited family. But after the sad decline and takeover it is a pale shadow of its former self, just another generic chain. So sad the great Cooplands is now IMO a Greggs analogue

We always get a tasty sandwich and cake when passing this shop. We also like their bread. Only problem is that sometimes there is a big queue.

Am not a great fan of big chains but this store amazed me. I actually got a piping hot traditional pasty which was not overladen with pepper. My daughter also had the same. The coffee was not generous however and it was expensive but I hope this is not just a one off. Service was prompt and friendly. Parking is available outside. Would go back just to make sure this wasn't the fluke or exception I am surprised to have found.

We came here as we were driving through Thorne. Saw this place, from the outside looked lovely. Well inside was drawn in by the fireplace, which was very inviting. However, was greeted by the barman he was very polite, well mannered. We asked if we could eat he said not till 5pm. We ordered our drinks and sat by the fire. When 5'o clock arrived we were given our menus. We looked, the menu wasn't very appealing. A few bits on the stater, was told that prawn cocktail, mozzarella sticks were not available, then the main courses were beefburger, cheese burger, Lasagne (Not available) so it was a bit of a hit and miss menu. Food came garlic bread didn't look appealing, wasn't cooked how we wanted it to be cooked. That got taken off the menu, which was easy enough. The mains were a bit bland, the beefburger had a weird taste and the chips were overcooked, it just didn't have a wow factor for us. The garlic bread got taken off our bill, the waiter was ok to do this. Would we come again? Not likely!!!

Not the place it used to be. Gone dirty and the gents toilet was disgusting as it looked like it hadn't been properly and hygienically bathroom cleaned for weeks. Service was slow and staff run off their feet because there wasn't enough of them. The once glorious soughdough bread has gone and there are no tea cakes (at Easter!!!). Such a shame as I used to enjoy going here....but not anymore. For the prices you pay, it is poor value for money. The owners have run the place down and should be ashamed. It used to be great

Wow the food here is AMAZING. I have visited Kaynas many times with both friends and family and cannot speak highly enough. The staff are friendly and helpful in every way. The food is delicious and its the best flat white I have ever had. One if my favourite go to places, a jewel of a find.

Helpful staff, pleasant surroundings but food very poor. In particular the Risotto with wild mushrooms and spinach. It was tasteless and no attempt made to present it well or garnish it. Just a heap of soggy rice. Embarrassing as friend was paying. Pie and chips reasonable. Lion of pork very tough stuffing. Talked up big but better food in market cafe at half the price
