Great pub.Excellent service, good selection of drinks friendly atmosphere. Haven't tried the food.

Good atmosphere..although I do believe it's the most expensive pub in town from my experience

Usually the food here is great but today everything was deep fried . Hash browns that hard when I tried to cut it ,it flew off the plate .the sausage was also deep fried as well as the mushroom & the fried bread was just full of grease that it dripped out of it when you lifted it . Felt like I'd just drank a bottle of cooking oil

I had a latte and they even gave me some malted chocolates on the side. They have outside heating wow! Super all round,, I mean I didn't have drink but I bet its a good laugh here!

The food was average and portions small. The drink was cheap. Service was good. Staff honest as I left my phone and got it back next day.

A great spot with excellent food and service. Don’t be fooled by the outside as it’s huge inside with quieter tables towards the back. We visited for lunch and all the food we ordered was hot and tasty.

A very spacious pub with plenty of beverages to choose from. We enjoyed a few drinks with friends on a Saturday afternoon.

Go in for lunch time steak pie lovely. Can be a bit noisy on certain days but foods lovely and reasonably price.

Miss Marina Mae had the place rocking, what a fantastic end to an afternoon around the Buzzing Doncaster city center and Market, highly recommended.

It's OK. Beer is pretty good. Was very busy, on a races day.

Nicely decorated but the dancefloor is in the wrong place for weekends next to the door and for some reason it's on and off bouncers let you on the dancefloor with drinks. Would not recommend and the DJs music is rubbish.

We came here for our shop's Xmas dinner. There's free wifi (use the cloud). Friendly staff. The Xmas dinner was pretty good. We sat out in the conservatory. They could do with a guest ale rather than just Old Peculier but I'm a real ale fan.

Excellent location in the old market place. Lots of room inside and a good selection of drinks. Prices were very reasonable and the staff were excellent with large group orders.

Not a lot I can say about this place.went there to play in a darts cup match there team did not turn up.our team had a beer each and enjoyed them .there were people in haveing food it look nice did not hear anyone complaining.may if I go to town again try the food for myself the prices looked ok

Very arrogant and dismissive manager.Im convinced he makes up rules as he goes along. He insisted we have to sit together as a family to have our meal and my husband was not allowed to sit by himself in the bar area to watch football. The TV in the dining area wasn't working and but he just refused to listen to reason Absolutely disgusting attitude!

Real ales theakstons old peculiar great drink food bang on

This pub is a locals pub and looks are deceiving. Go into the pub and it's quite dark, but walk on through and you get to the conservatory, a light bright extension. But the beer , hand pump Old Peculier at £3.00 a pint is a real bonus. Food is served and prices seem good but have not eaten so can't offer a review. Downstairs disabled toilet access for buggies or wheelchairs. Although could do with regular cleaning/ inspection to gain a further star. Upstairs toilets not seen.

Big, lots of space with outside seating

Didn't try the food but it looked ok. Good selection of ales and spirits. Tv screens showing horse and dog racing and a massive screen in the covered in outside area. Nice atmosphere and quite busy but easy to get served. Staff pleasant and helpful. Will go again.

Breakfast very good and great value

It's ok but no ale on tap. Very noisy with sports on the many TVs showing cricket and speakers belting out football.

Food was awful... only go there for cheap alcohol and not food

I would have scored 5 stars but they don't sell cheese and onion sandwiches for sale anymore.

The waitress was wearing shorts and slides with socks.💀 Other than that it was ok

Always go in here, the DJ is brilliant always put songs on you have requested.

Every time I go in always busy day or night, although not the cheapest, the pub doesn't sell watered down beer. Added bonus has quite a few TV screens to watch sports a small but adequate dining area. Atmosphere is 100% better than some local pubs.

Despite our explanation, NOT that we should have to , we were refused. This is not the 90's, we've grown up (or at least some of society have). Staffs personal choices should not be foisted on to paying customers. Would they ask a Sikh to remove his turban? Or an orthodox Jew to remove his hat?? Hmm I wonder. Rude and quite arrogant. Better places to visit

Was in here for my hen do, people are so friendly, didn't know them, but a very warm welcoming people and a banging disco and karaoke.

First time here and all I can say is one of the best steak and ale pies ever .My mother had chicken pie and she has said the same.great price for good quality home made food.will definitely be venturing back here, and the staff were really welcoming and friendly

A really lovely pub,a bit of a wetherspoon copycat but with more of an atmosphere. It's a bit of a tardis you enter a small frontage and wow inside it's enormous. It has a wonderful outside area with easy listening music to put you in the mood. An added bonus is it's cheap for example my lovely pint of John Smith's only £2 20 a pint. There's also an extensive menu but I've never sampled the food but many customers were

Visited doncaster for the day and usually walk past the black bull as I've personally always thought that it doesn't look appealing from the outside. But decided this time to pop in and wow such a large busy and welcoming pub. Infact stayed for hours. Without doubt will always go there in the future. As they say looks can be deceiving.

Sat in the beer garden it was great if the sun shines can't get any better

This place is fantastic, however, a new member of staff, "Lilly' is extremely inexperienced and has a lit to learn when it comes to customer service. Grow up.
