The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Were shown to a great window seat with fabulous views. Beef and chicken meals were first class. The battered fish was overcooked and dry. We made our views known but it was a waste of time. Would we go back and avoid the fish. Probably not.

Unbelievably appauling. Queued for 15 minutes. A junior member of staff then took it upon herself to take around 50 people from the back of the queue and opened up the other queue side. These people were all were then served ahead of those who had already waited 15 minutes. They should have taken 25 people from the queue at the front to the new queue then the front 50 would all have been served first. fm In all waited 35 minutes. We tried addressing this with 3 different members of staff. Not one of them offered any level of satisfactory response to the complaint. We were told to find a Manager - good luck with that one! All the coffee machines were broken at once and no trays. So after an 35 minute wait , a struggle to obtain a drink we had paid for, an unsatisfactory response to a complaint and cold food I would say don’t waste your time or money. Absolute fiasco! Ikea train your staff in customer service and how to accept accountability when they make what ultimately was a huge and unacceptable mistake😡

Vino aquí hoy, uno de nuestros hijos golpeó la mesa, lo que resultó en una pinta llena (¡solo un sorbo tomado!) y una coca cola derramada. El personal limpió el vaso y luego reemplazó las bebidas de forma gratuita. Realmente sorprendido por el gesto. Nuestros chicos son autistas y se pueden desencadenar fácilmente - estábamos listos para ww 3 porque uno había roto a los vidrios. Sentí que tenía que dejar un comentario porque este acto de amabilidad del personal de la antigua rejilla plateada ha hecho un impacto masivo en los niños y nuestra estancia. Gracias de nuevo x

Good,hot,plentiful food. Great value, friendly staff. Everyone in our party left full and happy, we especially enjoyed the deserts for only a little bit extra when we bought our main meals.

Well what can I say..... Crammed in, poor service 25 minutes for a burger 🍔 and no chips. Just crisps and salad. Rated it 2 out of 10. So loud I can't hear myself think. I had my bags on the chair at my table, the young lady came to my table and asked if she could take my chair. So I've paid a lot of money for this. Theres 12 tables and your nearly sat on each other lap. The buffet is very basic a bit of salad , a few cheeses, biscuits and cakes. Coffee is nice. Bagels, but nothing really to put in them . Some biscuit's. The cheaper lounge is better.

Lovely welcome and friendly staff. We called in after a walk for a pub lunch and were not disappointed. Good selection of pies, Yorkshire Puddings with fillings and Ciabattas. Very dog friendly pub.

Trabajé unos turnos aquí con mi amigo. Cuando entré en mi primer turno, la mujer que dirigía el lugar ni siquiera sabía quién era yo. Me preguntó si estaba “comiendo o sacando”. Le dije que me había contratado unos días antes y me dijo groseramente que subiera y me dio un delantal roto. Recibí £ 6 por trabajar 4 horas, sin incluir propinas. Cuando cada miembro del personal recibió sus propinas, la anciana hizo que todos dieran propinas y las dividió entre todos, dejándome con una propina de 50 p. El lugar era antihigiénico y frío helado. Había comida en el suelo y parecía que no había sido limpiada. El lugar estaba polvoriento y muy desatendido. El personal era grosero y era en general un lugar horrible para trabajar. No recomendaría en absoluto. Genuinamente asqueroso.

All though I would like to give this restaurant five stars , I cant because of a small matter that kind of ruins the experience in my opinion , The food is great ,the service is great and price reasonable ,then they spoil it by bringing you a dish of those tacky packet Sauces like you find in a greasy road side caff that squirt all over your shirt if you can manage to open them ,and as they have very little in you need a least five . A restaurant of this stature should have all sauces necessary in bottles or dishes. I do recommend this restaurant for the food quality and Service but recommend you take your own sauce . The delicious stake pie would work well with some hendersons relish..

Probé este lugar mientras pasaba con mi familia. La comida era deliciosa pedimos pescado y patatas fritas gammon y 2 comidas para niños. Si fueran seis estrellas, dales eso.

I cannot fault anything about this place all the staff are so welcoming and one member of staff went out of their way to be polite and even called us by our names she was called Courtney and definitely an asset to the restaurant. The food is always fresh and hot. The environment is so covid safe which is so important for me.

Impromptu lunch , steak and Guinness pie , really tasty , great crust ! Super friendly service , really enjoyed with a great hand pulled pint in a glorious setting .

Después de un largo paseo y visitar el pintoresco pueblo de RHB estábamos deseando un merecido pastel y café. Desearía que nunca fuéramos a este lugar para ser honestos. Mesas sin limpiar, dueño estresante detrás del mostrador, pastel sabía como si hubiera estado en la nevera durante días. Sin opción de té. El peor de todos es el baño. Es asqueroso que no haya cerradura en la puerta y que el inodoro no se enjuague y esté sucio. También hay que seguir al dueño en la calle para pagar con tarjeta ya que su máquina sin contacto no funciona en la cafetería. Falta de WiFi parece pero no muy profesional en un café caro.

Fui como una familia de 6 con 2 niños pequeños colocados mi pedido ordenó el servicio era terrible, muy lento , el personal estaba hablando y riéndose cuando pregunté amablemente cuánto tiempo tomaría que respondió de una manera grosera. nunca volver a este lugar nunca más. pedido llegó una hora tarde todo frío y helados - helados se derritió.

Came here with friends for food and was pretty disappointed by the staff, very rude and very little customer service skills. The food was OK but I won't be returning if I visit Hull again

Fui a cenar Navidad en familia (no es mi idea). La gran mayoría del costo de la comida debe haber ido para el personal (¿con x 3 paga? ) porque definitivamente no era la comida. En el menú había una 'bebida de bienvenida' que no se proporcionó. El entrante 'Hearty Tomato & Basil Soup With Warm Bread & Butter' fue muy malo. La sopa era acuosa y más que un rollo, el pan era una rebanada de pan de tigre con margarina. Tomé la carne de res y Gammon como la principal. La carne era demasiado dura para cortarla (la madre servilleta la suya para alimentar al perro). El gammon estaba tan seco que todo sabía como el final del porro. ¿Quién no sirve relleno para la cena de Navidad? Para el desierto, el 'crumble de manzana casero y natillas' solo podría clasificarse como casero si cuenta con microondas. Después de esperar aproximadamente 1/2 hora para el 'seguido de té o café con pastel picado' nos rendimos.
