Arrived at 12.30 on a Wednesday. Massive queue. Only one person on the till. A second person finally arrived. We didn’t move at all in the 10 minutes that we waited. Calculated a minimum 40 minute wait. Left without eating.

Slow service, skeleton staff as a cost saving measure. Honestly I think the staff are told to serve slowly. It's ridiculous

Delicious food, very reasonably priced. Lost a star because most of the tables were dirty when we got there but there was someone on their way around cleaning them. All staff we interacted with were friendly.

Useful place for a meeting - free parking, lots of space etc. Coffee was ok - friend had a voucher)card to get free coffee!!can't say much about the gane, yet.....

I have been here several times and always enjoyed it, but unfortunately I noticed that today was absolutely dirty, this should definitely be improved, wasn’t nice seeing almost all tables dirty and food all over. We started to clean the tables to be able to sit. I really enjoy my Ikea visits and i am writing this review as i was shocked by the cleanliness level. Also, the sofa was ripped which is unusual. Also, just to mention, the staff there were lovely and friendly and i never had an issue with the customer service

Food and value for money are excellent it gets 5 stars. NOW the 1 star, place has long queue only one side open every visit one member of staff who do not seem to know how to dish out food, they are the slowest I have ever seen, takes 3 attempts tk put berries on a plate each customer takes around 5 minutes to plate up a meal, it's ridiculous. They need more staff to cope with the demand in the restaurant. No one cleaning tables after use and the floor messy, unacceptable.

Horrible frozen food don't waste your money and another thing when your waiting to pay it takes so long your food is cold horrible and very expensive for frozen food

Food half price on a Friday, so great value. Just not many staff, so by the time your served and you've paid your food is somewhat cool. Pay first is my suggestion.

No staff,only one person doing both cooking and serving . Very long wait to be served as busy even though nearly closing time. Could do with reviewing the rotas

Unfortunately for the staff they had been ill managed and not enough staff had been placed to deal with the long ques. However the staff spoken with were all lovely. The food, despite advertised was not available. - Salad, mozzarella and tomatoes. Tomato sauce despencer empty-When we first joined the que 3 people had told staff. By the time we got through getting our food and paying it was still empty. No milk in coffee machines - so waiting around again ro return to even cooler food. Alot of the tables are not being managed, so although they are empty they are still unlean from the previous sitters and not ideal when eating out with children. By the time we had paid and found a table the food was cool.

A half full restaurant, lots of staff members, only one person actually serving, no savoury food in the fridges at all, a 20 deep queue. Zero hustle, slow and sloppy - reminds me of France!

Limited menu bit convenient if shopping in IKEA.

We did a bit of shopping today so called into IKEA for lunch, we had the meat balls chips and peas, what a load of rubbish, I should have waited until I got home and had something. The meal was warm at best, cheap bullet peas. We were hungry and there wasn't much so we ate it. We all like different food but I thought it was crap.

Ikea Leeds at approx 4-30 today. Food was the worst food I've ever eaten. Cold chips, cold stodgy salmon, clap cold peas, cold onion rings. Coffee hot. The cafe has been getting worse now for a long time. There's no cold foods eg salmon salads. the mash was sticking to the side of the serving dish , the fried fish was very thin and the batter was almost black at £6-50 it looked appalling hence not purchasing it. I did wonder why the cafe was absolutely empty and remained so for almost half an hour. What a poor show it was I will never eat in that establishment again. Many people walked in and looked at the food and walked out a few people purchased drinks only. As a massive company you should be ashamed of the dreadful unappetising food that you are trying to sell to the general public who by the way are not stupid. Yes we could have taken it back but there was no alternatives, and certainly no substitutes. What has gone wrong?? years ago when Ikea first came to the area it was guaranteed that a very good meal could be purchased even though the plate was never full. Now the plate is even less full all the food is cold and the cost has escalated . We paid almost £20 for rubbish simply pure unadulterated rubbish. Our money would have been better spent on a hot dog which was around £1.00. I have in the past told my friends it is worth the wait for food as it was very good and reasonably priced. I will now tell everyone I know not to throw money away at the cafe. I would like a response please ,= Wendy Duckworth

We arrived at 10:40 straight to the restaurant for breakfast, a queue it was taking ages. Due to one staff member serving. We were almost to the front and the staff member said no more breakfast what is left is what is left. this was 11:15. It wasn't our fault their wasn't enough staff. On actually being served there were no eggs left just one awful looking omlette that looked like it had been their hours. we called the manager who apologised for the lack of staff. Not really acceptable. I took my plate to the table & after the first mouthful spat it out. It was cold and rubbery absolutely disgusting. We took it back to the till. After a considerable amount of time the same staff member came out and reimbursed us for our meal. It was awful. On trying to get out of the place as quick as possible my god I hope your never in a rush. it was like a maize. Talk about stress when all you want to do is get out. What a god dam awful place to be in. Firs time I have ever been and will not be going again.

My visit yesterday was absolutely shocking. I used to love coming to the restaurant. Vegi sausages were like sawdust and there is no option to swap items. At lunchtime there was only one server and she left to put some more chips on. Massive queue n no more staff came. All food just sat there getting cold while she's spending ages counting meatballs. Not her fault as she should of had more help. It was ridiculous. Poor woman next to me only wanted soup she had been queuing for ages to find out they had ran out. Luckily smart women on till heard her complaint n said pay for it now n ill get some baught over when ready. Was very professional of her n kind. Chips were lukewarm n soggy, no salad in fridge although advertised. The only good thing was the cappuccino!!

Wow come at a weekday lunchtime one person serving so 30 mins to order food then queue all over again for ten mins to pay - for food that’s now cold … abysmal service

Can't fault the food or the portion size as they made my a small portion due to dietary needs. Staff were really friendly and polite.

Been many times and never had a problem but today there were no knives so we had to eat our lunch without one. Several people had the same problem but nobody brought any, they arrived just as we had finished our lunch.

Good Swedish food, good price. Mind you I do like meatballs.

We visited during Easter hols so expected it to be busy but I have no idea how it took so long (almost 40 mins queuing) to serve people food that was already made and just needed plating. It took so long we almost have up. Food was ok but had to root around for clean knives and there were no napkins anywhere. It’s not rocket science and as my son sad “it’s like the canteen at school but it takes longer”

Fantastic value for money, a coffee and a bacon barm for under a pound! Very clean, there was a gentleman wiping the tables and sweeping the floor the whole time I was there!

Ridiculous! Turned up on a Friday night, very busy. There was one chef on, and one server. Me and my 1 year old son stood for 1 hour waiting for our food!!!!!

Great for families with small children. Not always enough people serving food.

Sausage, bacon, beans, omelette, hash brown and tomato for £2.50. Tasty food and a free brew before 10am. Perfect for a cheap and cheerful midweek breakfast.

Generous with portions, reasonably flexible with the menu, and they don’t seem to run out of stuff as frequently as they did. Ikea café is back on form again :-) really good value if you have ikea friends too, and visit Monday-Friday.

1 hour queue, 2 servers of which one spent more time in the rear. Uk lockdown was quicker than this Queue

Oh god. I am never going for lunch here again. The breakfasts are great but the lunch is terrible. I rarely leave bad reviews so you can trust me when I tell you it was awfull. Over an hour wait to be served, food was pretty bland and expensive. Cost about £20 to feed myself and a child whilst my partner was shopping. If you are thinking of chilling in the restaurant while the other half shops, sneak in some snacks instead.

They’ve run out of almost everything again by 1800, more staff than customers, but apparently nobody to cook… it’s depressing because it used to be ace for families in here.

Popped here for a drink while shopping. Good value for card holders during the week....free coffee for husband and cheap cappuccino for me. Restaurant clean and lots of spaces. Not much choice for a slice of cake mid morning, as breakfast was still in full swing and didn't need that! 50p for 2 drinks...nice

Good food for £ 5.5. Independence is the basis of nutrition, when a person gets hungry at dinner, when there is practically nothing at home for dinner, someone will run out.

Nice food, however on a Sunday afternoon it’s extremely busy. Usually if we come to IKEA Leeds we get there for just after opening and head straight to the restaurant because it soon fills up. Prices are very reasonable on food and drinks. Always highly recommend it, I mean where else can you get a coffee for £1? 👍🏻

Shame our visit today was very disappointing. No plant balls, or other veggie options other than chips. Lots of cakes missing, no Daim, no Cheesecake, no whipped cream. Really feels like the portion sizes are decreasing. Used to be a fun part of a trip to ikea, but think in future we will avoid the restaurant.

Reasonable prices basic food - bit of a factory feel and incredibly busy on a Sunday afternoon. If you’re hungry when you get to the restaurant - eat - as you’ve another hour or so left in the shop 🤣

I came here for a big day out with my auntie, cousin and sister. I indulged in the meatballs and mash and gravy and peas - delicious, even if the presentation could have been improved. We also shared the daim cake which I'm afraid to say was horrible. Auntie got the salmon and cousin G got the fish and chips. The queues weren't too bad and it was all very clean. Overall, a really good experience.

Long long wait in queue and when I got there no salmon or aubergine tart available for 12 mins. It seems that meatballs is the only hot food. Took that. Tasteless. The berry sauce dispenser was blocked so not even any sauce. Next time I will eat elsewhere before or after my visit

We shopped in IKEA yesterday. We decided to have our tea there since we had a hungry toddler with us. He had the child's meal of meatballs and a drink. No jelly so they substituted it for a tired looking apple. We had the auberine and goats cheese tart with hassleback potatoes. I had peas and my daughter had the broccoli. Oh MY GOD The food was disgusting. DISGUSTING. Just... disgusting IKEA?? Are you listening ?? Your food was disgusting. And the worst thing of all? I paid for it. My daughter had tummy ache in the car on the way home. Could only have been the food they served. A foul experience

I’m sure it’s not the front line staff, they always seem friendly; but there’s definitely been a shift from generosity to miserliness. It feels like someone is trying to make it crank out a profit, and it’s definitely killed the number of people we see using the place. It’s a real shame; was a great place to bring your kids and it’s gradually becoming expensive and unfriendly.

We called in at the cafe for a quick bite to eat while at Ikea to buy some office furniture. Unfortunately the cafe was near to closing and there was very little left to buy. The meatballs and gravy had to be served without peas as the peas had run out (good news perhaps for some! - but not me) but still charged at full price and the salmon strip in the other meal we ordered was so thin that the salmon it came from must have been used in the feeding of the 5000. The food was at best luke warm. My daughter had garlic bread that would have caused damage to the floor if she'd dropped it as it was so hard. Very disappointing but I think we only have ourselves to blame as we called in so close to closing. On the plus side the staff, although clearly tired, were polite and helpful and the daim cake slice and Ikea cola drink were both nice.

Good selection of breakfast available even at just after 9, but all we wanted was a hot drink. Good value for money and even though machine self service, good quality. It kept us going through out mammoth shop!

Called for breakfast 25 mins before it ended. 5 people before us, took 10 mins to get served. When we got there we were told there was only 4 rashers of bacon and no more being made, already out od sausages too. Asked what we could have instead and was told that they aren't allowed to offer replacements and no discvount for the missing items. So anyone after us would get a "Full English" without bacon or sausage AT FULL PRICE!!!

Typical IKEA Restaurant. Swedish in feel, light comfortable restaurant. Clean, tidy and easy to navigate. Had the usual meatballs and the kids had the plant balls which were great. The shop looks amazing at the minute too.

A big clean restaurant, no shortage of condiments but lacking serviettes but used blue roll. Fast service of a hot breakfast with ample portions.

The food was so tasty as usual (let’s be honest we all go for the meatballs) but all the tables were dirty. I wouldn’t have minded but it wasn’t busy and I had my baby with me so was hard to wipe down myself

Had a terrible breakfast at IKEA today. The cutlery was dirty. The sausages were undercooked. Opted for bacon butty instead. Due to staff cutbacks the till queue was long and slow, consequently the bacon was cold by the time we sat down.I used to enjoy an IKEA breakfast but it has really gone downhill over the last few months.I will not be buying again

I'm veggie and coeliac and was pleasantly surprised that there were a few things both sweet and savoury that I could eat from the menu. I had the veggie biriyani and veggie balls and they were born tasty and reasonably priced too!

Went for the standard breakfast just as breakfast finishing and lunch serving starting, food not very hot, bacon very salty and they have stopped serving toast. Might try lunch next time.

Superb value breakfast, even better if you have an lkea card, then it is cheaper than you could make it at home, especially with free unlimited hot drinks. A regular breakfast haunt for me.

Well what can i say? I'm afraid to admit that myself and my daughter are incapable of passing junction 27 on the M62 without daydreaming about visiting this restaurant! We live opposite sides of the country and have used this as our meeting place late at night, so we can shop, have our tea and then she follows me home for 90 minutes. I've always found the staff helpful, the food always looks fresh and hot, and i consider it to be excellent value. There are plenty of choices for seating in the restaurant, whether you prefer a bar & stool, a booth or a regular dining table. You can store your goods trolley and use a tray trolley if loading a number of trays at the same time (handy for parents with kids). The restaurant is always very clean and customers are respectful and tidy their trays of plates etc away after finishing.

It’s a guilty pleasure but every now and again, I like meat balls and chips. Had it at a few different ikeas but this was very poor. The chips were cold, the peas had had all of their taste boiled out and the gravy was thin and tasteless. Only the meat balls were similar to other restaurants. I would give ikea Leeds a miss.

Good meal, tasty enough for the price. Meatballs are very good. Sometimes staff seem a bit peed off that you’re very and can be a bit rude sometimes but overall we love coming here

Good first impression as you walk in the Restaurant. Plenty of tables available either as a family table, tables near the children’s corner or easy chairs and sofas if you just want to chill.

Eggs, sausage were cold when we got to the table.I believe eggs are powdered and oddly, overly yellow. Potatoes were fair but the coffee was barely warm. A microwave would have been nice to save the meal. The pancakes which Sweden is famous for, were horrible. Either overcooked or left over from the day before, I could not tell. My wife and I, have eaten at the Ikea in Sweden, and this dining experience was not even close. There are other eateries in the area you can frequent before shopping, which is always great. Never again.

Just attended the midsummer party and cannot fault it, such fantastic value. Only criticism would be the queue for food and lack of people serving the food. That aside the food was lovely and the staff work so hard! Constantly busy and very pleasant.

Stopped for lunch .Self service restaurant. Had to queue .Older folk took a seat .Whilst younger members of family sourced their food and drinks .

Unfortunately they didn’t had any lemons left and Usually I like the fish with some lemon juice or curry sauce. Anyway .. I am a big fan of fish and chips and I ate it from many places, but this one wasn’t great at all. I won’t buy it again.

We visited the restaurant for a quick drink whilst shopping, which is our usual practice, and it took my husband three attempts to get a clean cup from the stack, the tables were dirty, the guy on the till wondered off opened a bag of crisps and started to eat them. In fact thinking about it the whole shop looked uncared for, not what we expect from Ikea.

We were visiting family in the UK and decided to visit IKEA as Grampa needed a few things. We'd spent the morning at the Royal Armouries so were ready to eat by the time we got there. Parking is varied but they seem to have plenty of space, plus it's free as usual.

Went up to Ikea Leeds today and saw they have jazzed up their hot dog choice, regular and large and also vegetarian..... wow as its been a long time I was happy to see they have better options on offer as the old dry hot dog in a bun was a bit lacking to say the least. Bought 2 with an option fir onions and pickles so I thought they look great il have the works ........ BIG disappointment as no onions and no offer of pickles either and the best part was the girl serving just slapped 2 hot dogs on the shelf with no mention of the fact there was no onions or pickles and certainly no apology for this lack of ingredients or customer services. I watched the tv programme inside IKEA last year and this was not what would seem acceptable in the Company head office I’m sure so For Ikea on this occasion. People were also complaining about the lack of ice cream and frozen yoghurt so we were g the only dissatisfied customers. Pull your socks up or at least tell customers if they are paying for 1 thing but getting a far inferior item. Below was my hot dog a far cry from that advertised. As Ikea say the hot dog is as much a part of the Ikea experience as the shopping.

Meet here as easy to get to for both my friend and I. Coffee and a chat! Coffee very good strong and very reasonably priced. A family card is a must as discounts on coffee are substantial. Cinnamon bun fresh and delicious.

Whilst wandering through the various parts of the store, half way through you come to the restaurant. Well placed, as most people have spent time looking at how they would like their homes to be presented.

Definitely an experience for tasty inexpensive and pretty healthy food, choucecseems dnall but it’s actuslly enough providing it’s not s busy spell and they run out, coffee is great, midweek it’s free too as a family card holder which is free to join, meatballs are a must with the cranberry sauce and the mash is a must rather than chips.

Ikea restaurant used to be the highlight of our visit. Today between the curt and cranky counter staff ( on a quiet weekday) and the paper plates and plastic cutlery we were unimpressed. Sad. Please bring back the real plates and silverware.

Served fairly quickly as it was busy. Free soft drinks refill outta great for children. We were able to push tables together to accommodate our large family. There is a vegan option which suited one member.

First trip to Ikea and restaurant that is more cafe. Very busy very noisy had to wait to find a free table. Then tried to find a menu but could not find any only lots of TV screens flashing up items to choose from. Huge queue not sure what to get, rushed to make choose no phone signal in queue so could not check with my wife(who is disabled and at the table) what she wanted. Fish and chips for my wife salmon for me. Asked if I wanted chips, mash , veg or cabbage. I eat low carbs so ordered cabbage. No cabbage for 10 minutes so do I want chips mash or vege option. I was told I could not wait for cabbage. So went for veggies option. Fish and chips very average, salmon was good but the veggies roast veg would have been good if it had been hot. Twin tables one clean one dirty, floor very dirty lots of food on floor and rubbish.

Always very busy, we’ve yet to find a time when its quiet, lots of seating available but it goes fast, if there’s more than 2 of you i suggest one finds a table & guards it!, quite a few options to chose in the hot food & plenty to pick from the cold selections, we love the breakfast, or dinner its a hard choice between the meat balls or fish & chips, always taste very nice, & a very reasonable price & even better deal on some options if you have the Free Ikea Family card (you even get the standard Tea & Coffees free + refills with the card. You are expected to clear away your table when you are finished, but they do have staff on hand to do it for the many people who couldn’t be bothered!!, we look forward & enjoy eating at Ikea during our many visits, hardest thing is to leave room to see haw many 50p Hot Dogs you can eat when you get to the Cafe at the tills.

Carnt beat classic meatballs and chips and gravy from ikea or a cheep breakfast or a cheep meal the reasturaunt offers a wide variety of items good quick service good portions and well equipped for children. Clean looking lots of room. Love ikea food

We went down the left hand side of the restaurant only to be TOLD to go to the queue on the right. Lots of other people were being told the same by the ONE server. Surely it was not beyond imagination to put up a sign or block that side. The few staff that were on were having to deal with lots of complaints. Needless to say there was no management. It was a quiet Monday in the store but busy in the restaurant due to lack of staff. After queuing for a long time there were no sandwiches or salmon. The soup was only just warm. You have a captive audience and are taking them for granted.

Been here loads of times but never thought of reviewing it. Today, they had Cheese and Onion Chicken Kiev on the menu, something new, I think, so I decided to try it out.

Nipped into the cafe for lunch while shopping. I particularly like the bonus of a free cup of tea or coffee if you have an Ikea Family Card. A bit disappointed that both soup options had run out & it would be half an hour before there was any more. The fish & chips was good & my husband enjoyed the meatballs. The best bit was the chocolate swirl pastry that I had! We went on a weekday and didn’t have to queue for long, no trouble finding a table either.

We had minestrone soup with the freshest bread roll ever. One latte and one coke, all came to £7 something-what a deal.

small breakfast, I only wanted bacon and egg,not sure how the egg was cooked, and didn't look appetizing, and toast,which I assumed was part of the breakfast was extra,and when I got to checkout was told had to pay for butter ,so didn't, and in fact left most of the food as it was tasteless
