If I could leave 0 stars I would. Been in here today and witnessed a woman talk to the bar staff (who are fantastic by the way) in the most disgusting, disrespectful and horrible way in front of a pub full of customers. I'm absolutely appalled. How a woman of that age can act in such an abhorrent way is unbelievable. I will never set foot in there again if that's who's profiting from my custom. Vile behaviour.

The fleece is a great friendly place to drink. The staff are always friendly and welcome anyone into the pub with a smile. It has great outdoor space if the weather is nice and warm. It’s a great local if you live near by!! Sarah (Local)

We were hoping to support a local pub but... Everything was wrong. The app to order with is fine but when asked if we wanted a double gin and tonic, we said yes and ordered Fever Tree Light Tonic. The resulting order was two single gin and tonics, instead of one double, with the most disgusting tonic, not Fever Tree, no ice and flat. (Where were the bottles of tonic if this was indeed Fever Tree?) From someone who drinks it all the time and knows the taste, this wasn't Fever Tree. My husband and son weren't even sure they got the lager they ordered at that point. Supposed to be Moretti, came in John Smith Glasses, tasted blah. There were no cask ales available. The service was slow and then off-hand, the fellow drinkers were jumping up and down, and their teen-aged children were wrestling with each other, coming very close to crashing into our table. The whole experience was a disaster. We feel ripped off in what seems like a very short-sighted strategy. We won't be going back and we'll be telling everyone how bad our experience was. I never say this in reviews but in this case, utter rubbish.

Pretty standard pub, nice selection of beers. Nothing above average. Burgers looked pretty decent but we just came for drinks.

Visited here mid December, the pub has had a makeover and is much improved, they have just started food and you will not be disappointed. Superb meats etc from Lishmans make for an excellent meal. Our party of 5 each had a different choice and each one of us was thoroughly satisfied. Well worth a visit.

Called in for drinks prior to going for a meal ,surprised who welcoming and cosy it was ,didn't notice any dog poo so that must have been rectified! Good bar staff and light airy seating areas

I came here for a pint with my partner. When we got to the car park we pulled up and noticed there was lots of dog feces in the car park that hadn't been picked up. If this is the hygiene in the car park what is it like inside?

We visited The Fleece and enjoyed Live music from a covers band called Redhouse from Otley. Excellent sound and worth watching - hope The Fleece carries on with live music as there are not enough pubs who regularly let local bands play.

Called in about 8.45pm. Heard it had only just recently started serving food. Had a nice atmosphere and a singer playing in the main bar. Sat in the rear of the bar area meal was served swiftly and was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. Home made chips nice pie plenty of gravy too. Waitress really friendly and atentative. My daughter lives in Horsforth so we visit local eaterys regularly. Would recommend this above most of the other local pubs. Will be making this a regular!

10 people in the pub and nearly 15 minutes before we were served. Cold, lifeless and unwelcoming. This pub was great 25 years ago. Its not now. A dreadful experience

I went to Horsforth during my trip to Northern England because I am a big Matthew Lewis fan, so I decided to check out his hometown. I was walking along New Road Side, did some shopping and just looked around when I came by The Fleece.I couldn't really tell at first it was a pub, but I'd thought I'd walk in and see. It was that comfortable, laid back, and chilled out pub atmosphere I really enjoy when I come to England. Better yet, there are stools along the pub to sit at, what a relief. I had a local draft cider which was delicious and reasonably priced, around 3 pounds. The person behind the bar was soooo nice to me and even took a picture in front a sign inside of The Fleece, Horsforth (wanted a picture of me in front of somewhere that said Horsforth). Overall, cozy, warm, relaxing, welcoming, ambiance. Will return to again should I return to Horsforth.

Staff Great Main course Rissoto was just a mussy mess lacked taste and Asparagus burnt Chicken was like rubber and broccoli so badly burnt was not edible . Dessert choclate fondant and ice cream good. We were told that a trainee was in the kitchen while the head chef was somewhere else . This was a gift from a special person so very disappointed. We were offered coffee but declined

Feeling peckish my friend decided he wanted fish & chips, we were on the Headrow so l thought of Nash's even though l've never eaten there. The reason for that is the business & alley approach looks so unwelcoming. And it did again...7 large green general waste dustbins right outside, rubbish everywhere. Now l know this is not the fault of Nash's but it's plain off-putting, they could screen it off for a small outlay. Secondly l said to my pal "lt's shut", everything about it led me to thinking that, even with an "open" flyer on the door, l was amazed the door opened when l pushed it. Oh oh, totally empty, no food in the fryers, really strange. The woman behind the counter was great, she explained that it was cooked fresh & wouldn't take long. 2 fish & chips were ordered and tbh l was not expecting much. I was wrong, the fish was really good and the chips fine & plentiful, mushy peas ok if a bit watery. The only negative was the tomato sauce, it was terrible, orange & cheap. Whilst we were eating 2 other customers arrived, so 4 in probably 40 minutes there. There is something wrong here, the food was good, the woman friendly & efficient but it is devoid of any atmosphere or decent furnishings, to me it looks like totally wasted potential. I'd probably give it another try, maybe l caught it on an unusually quiet day, but still, please make an effort on the approach & frontage to make it more welcoming, l'm sure it'd make huge difference.

£8.70 for a small portion of haddock and chips with a drink. The batter was completely soggy. Definitely not a proper fish and chip shop. Such a shame, as the staff seemed very nice. Hygiene around the premises seemed an issue.

Called in for a quick beer with my partner, I noticed there was a staff member from the Wakefield spoons, now one of the team managers at Morley, I spoke to her and she basically just ignored me, don't think this is professional from a management member. All other staff were friendly and polite, won't go back to that venue again.

so, normally we go to the Bridgewater arms for food (another flaming grill), however our nearest pub is actually this one so we thought we'd come here for food on Saturday evening. I looked at the menus and opening times and saw that the app stated the kitchen closed at 9 pm, so I booked a table for 8.30 on the understanding that I’d be able to get food thinking nothing of it and that we could have a night out with some food, and then to stay and drink until closing. We arrived in a cab around 20 past eight, giving us ten minutes advance for the table anyway and were sat at table two, where they normally have it reserved for the festive menus but were told we could eat there anyway. We then went ahead and were just about to push our orders through the app when someone ran over and told us not to put any food through as the kitchen was closed and had been since 8. This was extremely frustrating as if I’d have known this before, we would have probably gone to another green king pub where we could both eat and drink throughout the night. once finding this out, I then quickly rang ahead to first the GK in LS15 which said we'd make it to late for food then to Bridgewater, who also told us we wouldn't make it as they also shut at nine so not only could we not eat here, but we also missed out on a flaming grill, resulting in us last minute having to book to the harvester in Scholes LS15, resulting in yet another cab fair, which was significantly higher, but unfortunately the only option left to us at this point and also meaning green king missed out on our custom, because the information on food wasn't known before we'd arrived. I went to speak to a manager at the bar before we left, he told us there was nothing he could do even after I explained the situation so not only were we not able to order food from the kitchen that was advertised as open, but then had a manager tell me there was nothing that he could do and walking off. Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience
