A perfect find in Leeds 6. The friendly staff served up a fantastic roast dinner with all the trimmings. I’ve opted for a beef roast dinner served with 3 slices of meat(prim cuts without any fat or gristle). The total cost of the meal was £10.00 with other meat options of meats available. Good food and service at a very affordable prices these days.

Love Sunday lunch but alway better when someone else cooks it. Had a busy weekend so thought we would treat ourselves and buy lunch to go. It was delicious. 3 good portions of meat- beef ,turkey (and stuffing) and gammon all tender and tasty. 3 different vegetables cooked just to my liking firm but not hard. Roast and mash potatoes and 2 Yorkshire puddings. Served with a pot of gravy. Only downside was that the Yorkshire was a bit squashed due to so much in take away container perhaps next time I’ll ask for it separately. It didn’t however spoil the taste. £11 per person. Tbh wouldn’t have cost me much less to cook. Will definitely be back.

The food is very tasty but this is the 2nd time items have been missing from my order. They missed two pots of gravy off my order. I tried to call but couldn't find a contact phone number to call. Food is good but whoever packs the orders needs to concentrate. A bit disappointing when you've spent £30

Went for food this afternoon as I was out and about. Really nice food since it’s new management took over. Really friendly couple who privately own it. Rather give my money for a fresh roast from these guys than a carvery in a pub. 10/10

2nd time visiting this place, unfortunately not as good as the 1st visit, I haven’t been since the 1st time when it opened about 4 years ago. I can only guess the business as been sold on to new owner, it’s absolutely vile! Cheap ingredients throughout the whole order, very bland and nothing fresh, the beef was drier than my sense of humour! Iv had better tasting water unlike the gravy I was sold. This place had so much potential, but all in all it’s no better than McDonald’s. I won’t be going back again.

extremely poor service and rude staff , we ordered a big Christmas dinner yet half the items were missing ,. We proceeded to ring and explain this however the lady on the phone hung up! Baring in mind we had already paid for our meal . After this we tried calling again but they had cut their lines off . We also drove there to sort things out but they closed the shop !

Completely disgraced, at a loss for words for the lack of professionalism exhibited by the staff. we ordered a big Christmas dinner and only half of the order came. I understand mistakes can be made but the way they handled the situation after was horrendous. We called up to explain the issue and the woman on the phone proceeded to hang up the phone on me without any explanation or refund offered. Would not recommend this place, even if it were the last place on earth.

Absolutely shocking, food was awful no taste to it at all. All the veg was still hard and wasn't even cooked. The beef was hard and chewy. Ordered a large pig in blanket in the kids meals and only one of them had it in.

Lovely little place with great food, staff are absolutely lovely and down to earth. They gave us a free tea and a free can of coke which was very generous. All round a great place to eat in a lovely environment!

Absolutely awful service, took 45 minutes to plate up an already cooked dinner and the food was total garbage, liked it better with the old management, they seriously need to hire some competent staff

Found this little gem during the pandemic offering take away Sunday Roast, we have a take away roast every Sunday when we are in Leeds, this week (Oct 2022) is the first time we have been disappointed with the quality and quantity, especially the beef roast dinner (the small amount of beef tasted like pre -sliced roast beef rather than from a cooked beef joint) and we were only given one pot of gravy to share between two dinners . We will try it once more but will check the take away boxes before driving off. 2 dinners for £20 used to be good value for money and the food was delicious and plentiful, I hope this quality/ quantity issue resolves itself soon 🤞

Deadest roast I’ve ever had. Was really looking forward to a cheeky sunday roast until i opened my box to see it was no roast at all. Chicken was drier than the Sahara desert, no mash, no stuffing and sweetcorn?? Sweetcorn with a roast, no thanks x Paid £1.50 for a jumbo sausage, more like chode sausage - stinge de la stinge, had to go scoff a share box of mozzydips and 6 nugs from maccies TO MYSLEF because the one piece of chicken, potatoe and chunk of carrot really didn’t fill me up. Big phat L to end the weekend, wouldn’t recommend to friend

The only place to go for the best roast! Absolutely beautiful food, couldn’t fault a single thing. Wouldn’t spend my money anywhere else when I fancy a roast dinner. Highly recommended!!!

Been here a few times and the food is always good, but my kids were coming home after playing at the park after school and they have given them some food and drinks for home. Best place ever!

Yikes I can't understand the reviews over 1 star.... First time order (deliveroo) and won't bother again. No cauliflour cheese and all the food is quite obviously frozen - from the sweetcorn (in a Sunday roast??) to the yorkies, just all cheap and nasty. The mashed potatoes had no cream or butter, let alone a pinch of salt and weren't fully boiled before mashing. The meat scraps they sent were sooooo dry I couldn't swallow it and the stuffing wasn't cooked so it was just a lump of congealed sage. The whole thing was just gross and I was really surprised with the low quality.. Can't believe there are places out there charging for frozen supermarket food but Man V Roast advocates it. I ordered with them because I couldn't be bothered to cook a roast myself, turns out Man V Roast can't be bothered with cooking either.

DO NOT ORDER - Please listen to all the 1 star reviews. I placed an order on deliveroo, the order status was on it's way but the order never came. These people take your money and not send the food out. Im kind of glad it never came, after checking these reviews I'd rather pass on the mouldy bread and clumpy gravy. Also, sort out your opening hours. Pethetic excuse of a business.

Food took an hour and a half to arrive and was terrible and not what we ordered. Instead of beef we had turkey and scraps of lamp fat. Called the restaurant and was told that was because they were out of beef. Filed a complaint with Deliveroo. Do not recommend.

We use to go here when it 1st opened we went today in a long time no califlower just basics sweet corn peas turkey bland carrotts 1 yorkshire pudding and stuffing ball and mash patatoe for 7.25 and a pot of watery gravy Waited 30 mins outside the shop when people who had been served after me had already finished there food n gone will not be returning

Thought I’d give this place a try - NEVER AGAIN. First of all, it advertises ordering online or calling up - the website says it’s closed and doesn’t accept orders, the app has no option to order and when I called up, I was told there were no pre orders so a five minute wait upon pick up (it was longer than five mins). We ordered two carvery boxes and a side of cheesy mash. Got home to find the carvery boxes were mostly filled with tinned sweet corn (on a roast dinner - really?!) and peas. Also included was an anaemic looking and tasting stuffing ball and a cheap frozen Yorkshire pudding. There were no slices of meat, just dry scraps. The roast potatoes were certainly not cooked that day. The promised cauliflower cheese was missing - scandalous. The side of cheesy mash, which we paid extra for, was a measly portion and tasted like basic lumpy flavourless mash. The gravy was the cheapest granule gravy, which hadn’t even been mixed properly (the granules were still very much visible) and full of salt. For £20.00 we got what I imagine would have cost no more than a few quid to make so clearly someone is making a lot of profit at the expense of food I would personally be embarrassed to serve. I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but it costs very little to batch prep home made Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and home made gravy on the day so this sad experience is simply down to a complete lack of care.

Very standard, if you can be bothered to cook your own dinner it would be just as good. Ordered a pork roast and no crackling. Also stuffing doesn't seem homemade. Sweetcorn also weird selection on a canary, lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower are all missed out.

I rang up Jason from Man V's Food as I was looking for a caterer to pack 50 roast dinners for our music video shoot. It was last minute but he agreed they would help us and although I changed the order several times, they were nothing but helpful. The meals were packed with gravy separate and still hot on arrival. The crew were thrilled with the Sunday lunch and I was so pleased with the service. I will definitely be back. Thanks to all for being great and the lovely lunches.

Didn’t bring all of my order it was cold the mash was lumpy and the vegetables were frozen and cold with no cauliflower cheese ordered a box of roast potatoes and a drink and it didn’t turn up phoned to ask where they were and we got told we will get free pudding on our next order like I’d ever order from here again 🤮🤢

MOULDY GREEN STALE BREAD!!!! (SEE PICTURES). The pictures say it all, absolutely disgusting that a sandwich was served in this bread & all the 1 star reviews are correct the service is dreadful, can’t see this place lasting long under the current management if things don’t change very quickly.

Shocking customer service. Conflicting prices on menus. 05/08/2021. Young female working seems more interested in talking on the phone. When questioned about the 2 very different prices showing outside vs inside she just shrugged her shoulders and said it needs to be changed. £8.70 for 2 basic sandwiches, I wouldn't mind usually if the customer service +quality of food was upto scratch but both were very poor. £4.35 for a bacon and egg yet a full English is £4.75. Makes no sense. Outside prices show £3 per sandwich and £4 for a full English. Misleading.

I had been meaning to book this place for ages and it didn't disappoint. 6 of us ordered here and all our meals were so good. Great value too-the portions were huge!

Don't order it for delivery as you either won't receive it or it'll take an extra 2 hours more than the time they quote you. Won't be using them again now.

Ring up to see what time they close,arrive half hour later,half hour before stop serving at 5, only to be told nothing left,twice this has happened but it won’t be happening again!

Man v roast was absolutely amazing. I got the lamb carvery box. 7. 50 you cant go wrong. Nice portions, succulent meats, perfect potatoes and veg, and a flavorsom gravy. Do great pudds too. Brill idea for a takeaway. Real nice decor in the place as well.

ordered From here 3 times, twice they spent 80 minutes pretending the food was being prepaired only to cancel minutes before delivery was due. the food the time it did arrive was not amazing - potatoes were deep fried not roast. sometimes a person is desperate for a roast delivering but honestly, don't waste your time.

I'm really disappointed with this place, I ordered for the first time and I wont be again, all the veg is tinned, the roast potatoes were to hard and burnt to eat even covered in gravy they were horrible, the only thing I liked was the turkey, waste of a tenner and I'm still hungry, I saw ppl reviews and thought I'd give it a go! I'm sure the roastys were yesterday's that they chucked back in the deep fat frier

Had our very first Roast meal today. I wasn't expecting much with it being a take away roast but it was far worse then expectations! My 7 year old could produce a better roast!. The meat was supposed to be mixed meat, I expected slices not all the meat shredded and thrown together and not to mention massively over salted! The roast spuds where dry and shrivelled up. The mash,lumpy and very bland. The veg was basic. And the stuffing!!!!!! Wasn't even stuffing, it was in fact a large dumpling with very little taste! The entire meal was a let down.

Ordered on UberEATs, delivery time was up to an hour fair enough.. Order keeps getting delayed and I could see on the app a total of 3 delivery drivers were assigned to pick up and drove to the restaurant, then they would leave and another would be assigned. Obviously they kept being told to go to pick up but it wasn't ready. Then after an hour and a half they just cancelled the whole order with no notice and don't pick up the phone. If they didn't have the time for the order they should have just rejected it in the first place, not half an hour after it was already due. Disgustingly disorganised, we will not be bothering with them again.

I was very much looking forward to trying this place. Stuck an order in a couple Sundays ago as myself and my partner were craving a good old carvery. We placed are order and were given the 90 minute wait time. I then received text confirming order through and it will be here in 90 mins. It is a long wait however, we thought it would be worth it. We wait the whole 90 minutes only to receive a text saying "Sorry, Man V Roast was unable to accept your order." This was extremely disappointing, and would have been less so had we not had to wait the full 90 minutes to receive a pretty insincere text. We would have given it another chance had we received a call and one closer to time of ordering.

This is a bit delayed by about 6mths as don't normally post anything let alone reviews but as I came across this randomly had to express how delicious the food was!! I had a carvery sandwich they meat so so tender and tasty literally can't wait for it to open Tuesday to relive haha thumbs up!! Amazing!! Xx

Excellent food, well cooked, very hot, it arrived on time and exactly as we ordered, will buy from there again, the carvery was tasty and lovely, we need to remember we are in a pandemic and timings do go out of the window, and restaurants do run out of things 😁😁

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING! I could give zero stars I really would. This is the most unreliable, unorganised place I’ve ever come across. I ordered at 2pm for two carvery boxes, to be told they would be delivered at 3:50pm (completely fine by me) 3:50pm came and went, I rang at 4:15 asking for an update to be told I firstly haven’t placed an order (I provided them with my order ref) to then be told, there were two more orders in front of mine and it would be out as soon as possible (all okay no worrries about that). No food arrived... I called again to be told she was just about to call me to let me know they had ran out of one of my meats (again completely fine and understandable) I ordered from the options given and told I would have it delivered within 20 mins... 15 mins pass and they call me back cancelling my order as they had run out of food. This is the third time it has happened (yes I should have known the first time). Utter shambles!!

Ordered food before 2pm was sent a txt too say 90mins !! Its now nearly 4.30pm and no food and the phones busy!! Joke of a service defo would not recommend at all!! Wouldnt be bad if they kept us updated but they dont!! Bad for business is that i definately wont risk ordering from here again and wish i had read reviews 1st

Diabolical really. Ordered it and was expecting to wait 90mins as it stated. Ordered at 17:00, rang them at 18:40 to see how long it would be and she said it was getting prepared and leaving. Waited a further 40mins, tried to ring and phone was on busy for around 10mins. Then I got through at 19:16 and she said she is waiting for the driver to get back and it will be sent out. They then called at 19:25 asking if I still wanted my order.. I said yes, if it is going to be delivered.. I was then told yes but there is one person before you. So I asked how long it would take and she said another 30mins. I'm sorry but I know orders might be through the roof or staffing might be down but at least explain or let people know out of respect! After all that wait I just cancelled because I wouldn't of enjoyed it anyway. Such a shame!

My order was cancelled twice after 30mins to 1hr waiting , I ordered directly from their website..

Seems to be run by kids. Took our order at 11am. We rang multiple times to check where the order was, we were told 30mins away, they then rang back 4 hours later and they asked if we were still wanting it? Eventually arrived at 6pm after we'd cooked a pizza as we were starving. Roast was mediocre at best. If you can't fulfill orders you need to stop taking them. Nothing is worse than wasting someone else's precious time. Appalling. 0 stars

I ordered Sunday lunch which I was told would arrive in 1 hour tops. 1.5 hours later I called to ask how long. I was advised it was the next out. 1 hour later I call again as the family are starting to get hungry. The phones are all off and no food arrived. Very disappointing service.

Placed an order and 1 hour 45 mins later was phoned to be told "they have run out of meat" Canr understand why they would confirm an order via just eat then wait almost 2 hours to say they cant do your order?! They did put £3 extra into the refund but £3 does not really fill a belly and a p#@sed off mood. Kind of a joke really

After placing my order 7 hours in advance (knowing that it would inevitably be busy), I called 15 minutes after the food should have been delivered to find out that the order had not even been sent, and that they had ran out of items for our order...still waiting for delivery 1 and a half hours later. Mediocre roast and disorganised service - would not recommend.

The foods is pretty good. Meat is generous if a little on the well done side. Roasts are crispy and delicious. Yorkshire puddings always end up a little soggy in the box. Vegetables are a bit dull; peas, carrots and sweetcorn. Menu seems a bit ambiguous, I can't tell if there should be two veg plus cauliflower cheese or if I'm supposed to select two from a range. Suffice to say, the only way I've manged to get cauliflower cheese is to pay extra. Ordering and collection needs work. Website throttles orders which needs patience but should remove delays in collection. This is not the case, collection is consistently significantly delayed (45 minutes this Sunday).

ordered through their website thinking we'd be doing them a favor so they'd not have to pay the delivery apps comms at 1.25pm, were told 90mins delivery which seemed uncommonly long but agreed. Two and half hours later nothing. And they are not picking up, then have an engaged phone number. really reallllly disappointing as first sunday back in the UK and NO roast dinner. also for the time we've been waiting could have made our own. 0 human v 0 roast it seems. :(

I wish I had read the reviews before! The food is actually really good, for a takeaway roast. HOWEVER when I ordered it, it said it would take 90 mins to arrive, longer than I’d like but I was ok with it..... then the 2 hour mark came...... then the three and finally the fourth. A little over four hours it took to arrive. I made multiple calls to chase it up and was told they were waiting for the driver, then the driver was there but they had to prepare it (this was 2.5 hours after I’d ordered it so why it hadn’t been prepared already I don’t know), then the driver had left but it was still taking ages. I feel bad for the girls on the phone because it’s not their fault and I imagine lots of people shout at them (me included, sorry!), I feel bad for the delivery driver because it sounds like he’s the only driver and probably gets shouted at too! For a place that gets so busy that the wait for food is 4 hours I would hope the owners invest in another delivery driver! Like I said, the food was good but not worth 4 hours waiting time, either do something to reduce that time or warn customers when they order that it’s going to be 4 hours and not the 90 minutes I was originally told.

Just got the spot! Absolutely delicious, spot on roasts. We had a complicated order with varied meats from the carvery, plenty of extras and a special request. Got 20% discount for ordering online too. Delivery was quick, packaged well and they threw in a lush treacle pudding with homemade custard because they made an error initially with my order. The mash potatoes were super smooth like butter, scrummy roast tatties, yummy gammon & well cooked pulled pork. Yorkshire puds and stuffing were so good too! I was nervous having seen the negative reviews about service but actually the people are nice and it seems they just get really busy sometimes like most takeaways. But the food here is so worth it, can't recommend enough. Its traditional British grub just like mum makes, at a fair price, what's not to love?!

Travelled over 4 miles to get home to food missing. Ordered online to then still have to wait 25 minutes when I arrived
