Quite happy to accommodate bands and their followers who sympathise with those who lost the 2nd World war. Steer clear.

We visited Leeds and our restaurant was closed. We were hungry and headed to White Rose Shopping Centre. On the way we saw this pub advertising food served all day so we stopped. No bar staff visible, half a dozen people in a big pub, and I reckon the food was pork scratchings at best. We wore face masks as we have respect for others’ safety. One of the customers shouted “hey - it’s not Tuesday yet” (the day that sensible restrictions are reintroduced). Avoid this place like the plague, or you may be part of one!

We were returning home after a weekend working for our care company. My colleague was exhausted and she suggested that we should find a restaurant on the way back. On the face of it the Drysalters met the criteria as it WAS on the way back and it WAS part of Greene King, a respected brand. On the positive, the food was presented well, cooked well & tasted delicious. We both enjoyed our mixed grills and there was a good variety of well prepared meats in the grill. The sweet courses were also excellent, fudge cake & jam roly poly (which didn't look anything like the traditional jam roly poly, but that's another story). The waiter/ess were enthusiastic and friendly which always makes a meal more pleasant. There were no issues with the meal. For this quality of food we would certainly return. On the negative, there were a few issues. My colleague told me the "ladies" was not clean and the door lock was broken. I noted the "gents" was could also do with some TLC. She was amazed that the chap in the chef's uniform took a small dog into the kitchen as this breaches common hygiene standards. It, also, took me 5-10 minutes to order as we needed a receipt for work and no-one could figure out how to produce the correct receipt for the food. Drinks were OK, as that receipt was produced in a few seconds but it took just under 12 minutes to get us a food receipt. (It was wrong as they incorrectly told me the price without a receipt and then had to get the receipt to match their guesstimate of the price). Nothing like adding 4 figures using a pen & a sheet of paper to get the right price? While the food was excellent the organisational abilities were, sadly, lacking. We found this most surprising from the, usually, excellent Greene King chain.

The Pub is very well located for a visit to Elland Road, and parking also very convenient on a matchday for only £5, and only a 10 minute walk to the ground. However, there is no pub food or menu available when there is a game on - only a burger van outside serving the usual fayre.

My dad, being a dedicated Leeds Utd fan has been here numerous times before an all important match!!! We were pondering where to go for something to eat and my dad recommended the Drysalters. I was really surprised how busy it was! (sorry) We found a table which was very clean and ordered food. When our food arrived it was very hot, which I like and the portions were huge! The bill was £47 for a family of 4 adults including soft and alcoholic drinks. No doubt we will be visiting again.

Met up with relatives from Barnsley here, their choice. When they suggested it we weren't sure as the pub went down hill many years ago but read that it had been refurbished so we thought we'd give it a try. The place was empty apart from one couple but it was a Monday lunchtime! The refurb is quite nice - all wooden & the one member of staff was very pleasant. The menu is pretty standard. My sister-in-law & myself went for jacket potatoes. There was an option of cheese & beans & my s-in-l asked for no cheese & I asked for no beans. When they arrived there was the measliest amount of topping on both & a bit of lettuce. Didn't look impressive & to be honest I've had a lot better at home. The men had the Full English which arrives with chips!? The eggs were broken & both said the only tasty part was the sausage. We will not be returning & cannot recommend.

So we called at about two o'clock on Sunday. The pub wasn't busy and most people who were in were eating. I ordered our food at the bar. Nachos followed by burgers and a children's meal. At least forty mins later we had still not received the nachos. Our 19 mth old was that hungry she had taken to sucking on the sauce sachets at this point. My partners burger arrived. I explained that we had ordered nachos to who we presume is the landlord. He apologised. My partner sorted his burger and gave our daughter some chips while we waited for the rest of the meal to arrive. The waitress then came running over telling him not to eat it as it wasn't his food! She then took his burger and served it to someone else! Our food arrived relatively quickly after this although wasn't anything to write home about. I also had to chase up my daughters meal as this arrived five mins later than ours. We left early because of the wierdo sat by the side of us. Food was going to the wrong tables all around us and getting sent back.

Not my best dining experience. The food was quite bland and uninspired and not a great choice of wine either. The tables were sticky and the menus were too.We went on a very chilly evening but while eating the bar staff came to smoke just outside an entrance and left the door open making the place quite cold. We moved in the end when this happened for the third time. I have had good experiences here in the past but this one really let them down, especially staff keeping doors open on cold days to smoke just where customers, yes that's us, are eating or drinking.

We went here for a meal the pub was dark and a bit dirty. Menus had food stains on them and tables a bit sticky. The choice of food was good and we had been told that the chef was new and may take longer to prepare. We ordered a starter and a main course which arrived together. There were no croutons on the Caesar salad. No reason or apology was given for this. The food was good and tasty. We ordered a pudding. Custard on crumble arrived cold and had to be re-heated. The choc-fudge ice-cream sundae was a lump of choc fudge cake in a sundae glass with 2 small scoops of icecream plus malteasers. No cream no chocolate flake. If fact not an icecream sundae. No excuse or apology was given for this.

I went there one lunchtime mid-week a few months ago with my daughter and her boyfriend. The pub was almost empty so we were surprised at waiting nearly 45 minutes for pub food.My daughter and her boyfriend both had fish and chips- the food was appalling - it was meant to be one of the huge fish that they advertise, but it was all batter which was really soggy on the inside and overcooked on the outside a small dried up bit of fish in the middle. They had ordered 2 rounds of bread and butter with the meal and received a plate with 6 crust pieces and 2 slices of bread - crusts are not acceptable for chip butties, although great toasted with cheese on, but to be served them in a restaurant is really not good - they were gutted!I had a burger meal with fries and onion rings with a bit of salad. Again it was lousy food - dried/overcooked burger, dried bread bun.I will never eat there again and would hope that after reading this review, some people out there will not waste their money and be disappointed.
