Starbucks in Wakefield

I regularly bob in either xscape or junction 32 Starbucks for a coffee! Lovely staff in both stores. Tasty drinks. Prices a tad expensive. Really happy they’ve brought the pumpkin spice latte back early from popular demand but charging £5.65 is ridiculous! You can’t justify spending that much on a coffee! Really not fair to do that to us customers.

Great staff, lovely friendly customer service, had to wait a bit but coffee and cakes are good so worth it! Great that you can bring dogs in too.

Great service great coffee loads to choice from with vegan options i always buy Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte so creamy and great for the body would recommend

Dog friendly Starbucks that I got to a couple of times a week. Staff always remembers us and my dog. Very friendly and clean store.

My husband waited a good 15 minutes for 2 hots chocolates, 3 cakes and an ice drink. It was served in takeaway cups and paper bags when we were eating/drinking inside. We had to aske for plates and spoons and the staff were rude. A handful of other customers had the same experience because a member of staff didn't print orders correctly. Not one member of staff apologised for the appalling service. We will NOT be returning!

Just what was needed after a play in Snozone, swift, cheery service and great value filter coffee hit the spot

I have been to a lot of Starbucks in England and I think this is the best run one I have found so far in the UK. It seems cleaner, it’s bigger, it open later, the staff seem to work well together, they seem faster, the staff has been friendly, the bathrooms seems to always be in working order and when I have been here near closing people aren’t kicking me out early. These are the things I expect from a Starbucks, and this one meets my expectations.

Visited Starbucks today at J32 freeport, Castleford. I had walked a long way and needed a refreshing drink. I had the pink coconut drink, never again. The little I had tasted good, however at least half of it was ice. This made it a very expensive drink.

Visited Starbucks in xscape Castleford. Ordered tea, coffee and chocolate chips shortbread , cane to over £8. Coffee ok but tea was as weak as dish water and had odd taste. Shortbread biscuit was just powdery and cheap chocolate taste, left it, like eating raw flour. Expensive rubbish

Absolutely rubbish staff and service. Waited 11 minutes to be served then another 21 minutes to collect my order ! They seemed to prioritise the just eat etc collection drivers over physical paying customers. Mentioned to the server no response or apology. Empty cups on tables just a unkempt establishment. Drink was ok but expensive would not return or recommend

Starbucks in the Junction 32 Shoping centre at Castleford could never be described as a cosy coffee shop and could best be described as a barn cum canteen. It is one big, square room with the style and ambience of a bus station caff in which the echos of multiple conversations and coffee orders drown out the background music (which was actually a bonus, as it was truly dire). At the business end of things the service was fine and the coffee good, but as we sat with the constant audio assault I could only be grateful that the place was only a fifth full, and can’t imagine how awful it would be when crowded. I’m not sure what they could do from a design perspective, but even a few screens to break up the wide open space would perhaps give some semblance of comfort. And I couldn’t help noticing that a nearby Costa Coffee and another couple of cafes on-site managed to look much more cosy and welcoming. As it is, the stereotypical coffee chain advertising image of someone sitting in a cosy coffee shop with a newspaper or doing a bit of work on a laptop would be alien here. This is as far removed from my local Caffè Nero in Knaresborough as you could possibly get.

Wonderful staff member Carri ..sorted me a new coffee after i had to nip out n leave my husband a few mins and was cold when i came back.very friendly and helpful

Ordered sandwich and a drink from just eat for lunch while at work Drink came with a sticker telling me sandwich was out if stock. They had my phone number why didn’t they call me and let me know. I called and was told I would be sent some vouchers for the inconvenience which I thought was a nice gesture !!! Still waiting for them Vouchers. My advice call to check they have the items before you get them delivered or you will end up with no lunch

Bought a Brie, butternut and chutney focaccia and a skinny decaf latte. The service was excellent and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. They toasted my sandwich and apologised for the fact I had to wait for my decaf coffee. The sandwich was absolutely yummy I really enjoyed it and my coffee too. Was great to see people eating in here again and I would definitely go there again as the Brie went really well with the butternut squash. Great combo .

I am not keen on this place, I think its over priced and over hyped! Staff are just there and doing a job because they have to, they don't look happy, they look at you but don't care

Following complete lockdown we were able to visit this Starbucks for a coffee. Still can’t consume inside but staff were pleasant and helpful and everything clearly signed. Nice coffee as always

Poor service. No one clearing tables. Staff showing no interest. Come on Starbucks get a grip. It’s a competitive world and u need to up your game here.

Festive coffee Went in with my friend for a festive latte. We both had the gingerbread. The staff were friendly and accommodating to a small child. It was however a bit cold inside

Came here with friends who were charged 40p for half a cup of ice. Was it because they were Spanish or is this a Starbucks policy? Either way disgraceful as we had already spent twenty pounds

Used the starbucks at junction 32 for drinks. Friendly staff who assisted my daughter when they didn’t have the frappe she wanted. They made her up a similar frappe which she was very happy with. All clean and tidy with outdoor seating if needed

The coffee was ok (even though they didn’t have everything on the menu) but the tables were disgustingly filthy with used cups piled up everywhere, not good at all

We called in for lunch on our way to the cinema and I was bowled over by the level of service. The team couldn’t do enough for us and were very accommodating. It’s the best service I’ve ever had at a Starbucks:)

Starbucks at Junction 32. Popped in for bacon sandwhich & coffee whilst waiting for next to open. Wish id waited in the car. Although coffee was lovely and the staff very pleasant, the ordering set up is ridiculous. So my rip off bacon butty was ready before my coffee so after waiting decided id better sit down and eat it before it went cold. I had finished it before my coffee arrived. The butty was dry, unappealing and at £3.30 had one tinny piece of bacon inside. Altogether i paid £6.10 & left feeling completly shafted. Come on starbucks you need to lower prices and sort your ordering system out. I know why there was very few familys in here, its just far to expensive. Will not be back and do not recomend

I too am talking about the starbucks that you can see when first entering xscape. Staff have always been efficient and friendly. I am greeted with a smile and even though they often seem to be busy I've never seen cups/plates etc sat on a table for very long and have never felt rushed. Not a large amount of tables but I guess they do the best with the space. Coffee (I always have soy milk) has always been great, never had a complaint and served quickly. Great to see that starbucks are upping their vegan game and have seen new additions added. Enjoy my visits.

I’ll find this in most Starbucks to be honest. Their systems of taking your order and your name seem to work pretty well most of the time. When they’re busy they let Starbucks down big time. Paid at the till very quickly then waited almost 30 minutes for my coffee. In Costa I would have been refreshed and gone within 30 minutes. Starbucks need to rethink their systems. In terms of coffee, they’re a 5 out of 10. Costa definitely delivers a better flavour and far quicker.

Stopped off to get a coffee to take into the cinema, quite a small little kiosk offers a small range of cakes/sandwiches. I wanted a hot drink quite slow at ordering and coffee was nice just could have been a lot hotter, was cold by the time I sat down in cinema upstairs

The drinks were standard starbucks but I think you need to pay more attention to the toilets. To be fair it's not just this branch where they look like they need a good clean so please Starbucks don't cut back on cleaning and make sure they have a deep clean weekly to get rid of thick dust .

I'm talking about Starbucks in Xscape, Castleford. The staff are excellent, always a friendly welcome, some of the staff come over and chat, enquire about your week, some even manage to grab a seat and have a chat. This is what you want from a coffee shop, and this is why I'll always go back. Gaz, Nathan, Amy, Kourtney, Becki and Katrina (sorry if I've miss-spelled any names or missed anyone out) all go out of their way to look after you. Thank you.

When I ask for a soy cappuccino I expect it not to taste like cardboard. Nearly threw up within 2 minutes of drinking it. My friend ordered a mango and passionfruit cooler and it was watery.

Just grabbing a coffee between activities in the Snozone and Laser-quest. both of which cater for different tastes and desires in activity and something great to do on a Saturday.
